Feel like this is deep. The lead actor is brilliant. The cinematography and direction should be much appreciated. Love this video

Lead actor will be playing a vilain in the upcoming James bond. I believe he said (cannot find the itw) that this music video led him to such an opportunity.

And maybe only when you've lived overseas alone, busted your ass working, challenged yourself and made sucrifices you're able to really get this. Wow, seriously, everything about this video is amazing! The acting, the story, the memories, the music, the beats, and the acting again - all just awesome. From the very beginning, I felt a connection, seeing myself in the clip from minute 0. It reminded me of how I used to live in Morocco, doing the same things - doing push-ups at home, striking the monkey posture, running with friends, just being myself. Now, watching this, I'm filled with gratitude. Thank you from the USA, where I left everything behind to start a new life. God bless you, Blaze! I truly congratulate you for creating this piece of art.

Hang in there. It will be hard to grieve too. Now and in the future. I know how it feels. You got this ❤
I remember when I moved away (to France). I was 22 and had no idea what I was doing in life, all I knew was that I had to get away. My mother supported the decision to my face but she kept saying that I'll always comes home, ''because that's I always do''. I don't think she delieved that I really would move away so far. When I left I wasn't scared I was excited, I had no money, no phone, and I spoek no French at all. I had a person I could stay with and they would meet me at a train station in Centre at a certain time. My mother and my sister both brought me to the airport and we sat and had a last talk in the cafe there. Everyone was normal and happy, mother saying things like stay safe, watch out for pickpockets, it was all very normal. I remember thinking how well my mother is dealing with it all. The time came and I had to get through security and wait for my plane so I had to say goodbye. I kissed my mother and sister, big hugs and my mother made a joke then I walked off. As I was walking away from them I immediately felt alone, even though they were just a few meters behind me I knew they were gone and it wouldn't ever be the same. I said I wouldn't turn around but I couldn't help it, I had to wave goodbye to my mother. She was on the floor in tears, she couldn't even breathe or stand.I had never seen her so broken. I didn't think about how much I was hurting her because I was young and needed a new life. I wasn't allowed to walk back then and I had to leave her. That was the hardest point for me. I wish I didn't look back.
bless u xx

Once again this song and the video came up to me like gawd sent… I can’t begin to describe my childhood as a Bosnian refugee who lost everything in the 90s. Assimilated to Germany and it took them almost 6 years to say NO to us. USA was next… Im here living in Northern California but always dream of a home coming like that. The only problem is that I have almost nobody left back at the home country. They are all gone, either dead or moved somewhere in the world . If you’re reading this I hope that you will understand. Peace and love ❤️
All part of the journey 🙂
Do not look back, for there is a past that hurts you, and do not look forward, for there is a future that worries you. Rather, look to the sky, for there is a God who makes you happy لا تنظر للوراء فهناك ماضٍ يؤلمك، ولا تنظر للأمام فهناك مستقبل يقلقك، بل أنظر للسماء فهناك رب يسعدك 🥺♥️

I get tears in my eyes every time I watch this master piece, as a palestinian who lived abroad from age 18 for almost 6 years then came back home (due to pandemic and other personal reasons) I can feel everything in this scenario, in Arabic it's called "ghareeb fi bladak", to be foreigner/stranger in your homeland. It's so many struggles combined you deal with, it's the active and post-colonialism we are going through in such countries, North Africa and all blad al sham and central Asian countries, we are tired yet we want to fight back, and decolonize our minds and bodies. My ultimate dream is to see the day when all borders and walls will fall and have a huge party all together from Sahara to Kabul and through AL Quds and Jaffa, Beirut, South to Sanaa, Algiers Baghdad.. There's something completely captivating about this music video, the performance, the beauty of the shots and the city, everything is amazing.
I heard this song sometime in 2018. I was definitely distant from my family especially my father. Watching this song enabled me make a conscious effort to try and get closer to him and to my family in general. To stay in touch with friends who helped me make the person I am today and stood by me throughout. I am thankful to this song and the video which is a true work of art to bring out so many emotions out of me. Watching this for the first time was an out of body experience and it still gives me chills watching it back every time.
Every few months I come back to this video. This song, the video, the emotions it's so powerful. Reading the comments you can see just how much it resonates with so many of us lost out there. But one comment in particular always gets me, I can't help but tear up when reading it. The comment seems to be deleted now but I managed to save a copy before it was. I hope whoever wrote it is doing well, this is what they said: It's a weird feeling, wanting to go back home but there's no home to go back to, a child without a parent, a citizen without a country, a traveler that lost his destination. I've visited about 40 countries, resided in 10, and none seem to fill this need of home. I went back once but home was gone, there was nothing left, just dust and ghosts and memories that now haunt me. The room I used to share with my 8 brothers and sisters doesn't exist anymore. It stopped existing the second I left. I was there some years ago and I could almost picture the house back together small and brown and the dog and my grandfather smoking and smell my grandmother cooking for all of us. People told me there were explosions on the horizon but I couldn't hear anything, I just screamed. This is a marvellous video, I wish we could all be so lucky. I'd give my limbs to be the man in this video, back home with my parents my grandparents my brothers my cousins my friends, my kin my blood my family. I'd trade it all. But they're not here and I'm not there and you can't interrupt the flow and ask why it is. It just is. They don't want me there, but I don't want me here. Fuck man, I've never been this homesick.
Thanks for sharing this
Same here , frequently I’ m coming again and again . So strong … everything …

Never have I ever been so touched by a piece of music video. The inicial drama setting, both in the acting and the melody. The majestic set up. Amazing. I was even more amezed with the, almost dance like, flow with the melody through out the music. In tune with the beat. Great camera and lighting, I can't quite what it is, but the clip is gourgeus all around. And finally the window into the lens of somewhere else, foreign to what we're most surrounded. To watch life all around, so different, yet so similar. It makes one thinks that we barely know the surface of what it is to be like this... A day in the life, in the TERRITORY. Mind blown, 10/10 would and will recommend to everyone!
5 лет назад я увидел данный клип и был потрясен легкостью и свободой этого человека. Я всё ещё не могу обрести такую же легкость, но я не буду останавливаться
The ability to capture the intimacy of this family and make me feel like I’m right there dancing on that rooftop with them is something I’ve never experienced in a music video before. Unreal.

just a freaking good director for sure. that needs a damn good combo of imagination/knowing what you want to show and a lot of skill in advising ur cast and finding the perfect people for that cast. Just skills. Not necessarily experience. But it's rare, because it's not easy to create something that authentic and touching. And they work with alot of "opposites" in this video, it's like when u see a "hard muscular guy" cry, it will hit you way harder than a small, tiny guy. Just because you didn't expect it. That touches. I think it's a complex mix of all those things together. A big part out of concept/planing but i also think, as i said, that it needs the right director, the right people and amount of patience, stupidly said: the feelings which each and everyone is ready to invest. Great teamwork for sure there.

I'm still having so much trouble believing that this was pure acting. The way I was crying with him in the beginning is exactly the reason why I was convinced this video was real. Why am I discovering this just now and it’s been out for 6 years? What an amazing song with an amazing video, this is my new favorite music video of all time, hands down
Same. Just discovered it while it was playing in the background ok auto play and I took my attention. I keep watching it. Idk if it’s cause I’m like attracted to lots of the guys here or if it’s the genuine performance
I'm from Algeria where this story happens, the scenario is very well made, it about a "harrag" (someone who goes to another country illegally seeking a better life) coming back to his original territory (home) to the sad miserable life, where he's forced to live, so he starts going crazy for it and loses his mind on it.. it's kinda sad that countless amount of people are living like this. (this is my interpretation of it tho.) edit: after a while, and through the replies, i realised that everyone can make their own interpretation depending on their emotional situation when watching... it hits different people differently, that's true art...evokes emotions. (some hate, some relate, some miss their home/family/territory, some feel proud, some feel threatened.. etc. thanks for all the replies)
bilal brzm je pense que c’est la meilleure interprétation que j’ai pu lire bravo kho
I see it as someone (harrag that finally gets legal papers) visiting home after living abroad for too long, the place where he feels wild and strong the most. Cause he seems mostly happy in the video. Still your way of seeing this video is reasonable too.
WakandaForevar where are you from ?
@WakandaForevar So far the blaze are my favorite artists atm, probs to these French guys for this music and this video per se. Their videos always have some link to Algeria. They've made alot of videos where you can clearly see an Algerian symbol, motto or even a famous Algerian man's name written somewhere. In this video, you can't even see the slightest of a hint about which country is this. We only depend on the comments to know. I think it's made in a way that we as viewers are not expected to view it in a particular way. We'll see it from our perspective, and our outcome from our past experiences if we had lived abroad for exemple or our imaginations from what could have happend if we happen to immigrate. When I see myself in the place of that actor, I feel like my previous comment. (I live far away from home btw). And I think Sys Dz is just curious man or maybe a fan 😅
Wow damn

He is solitary while surrounded by men his own age, his slow realisation he doesn’t belong and his frustration at the end the gorilla chest pump, his lack of territory.
Как точно ты описал это ощущение, когда возвращаясь в родной дом, почему-то не чувствуешь себя своим на этой территории, не знаю плохо это или хорошо, но это так
There’s nobody like my mom, there’s no place like my home since i was born 😢❤
As an Algerian immigrant who lives away and not being able to go home for 6 years! This pokes my heart 🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿
May you find your way home...
Invite the to come bro bettzr
for 5 years as if it was yesterday..
ربي يلاقيك بالعيالة فساعة خير❤
Tu n'es pas seul, mon frère
This is the kind of art that deserves awards and international recognition. Lead actor, script, cinematography, music, art. Everything. This is amazing.
Agreed 100%!
This video won the film craft grand prix in Cannes, France. And the lead actor is going to be in the next James bond movie thnaks to his performance in this video!
This video was featured at the Leopold Museum In Vienna in a choreographic music videos exhibition. The first time i saw it was in a cinema!

It's 2020 and I'm still wondering why this man didn't get a Grammy yet.
His name is Dali Benssalah and now thanks To this video he became famous and he is a famous actor
This music is food for our soul. The desire for humain connection, sense of belongings and the unconditional love of your family. All these things are what our soul greves ❤ Much love to anyone that can relate to this.
I just found this video but there is something magical about this song and video that forbids me to stop listening to it!
Fun Fact: The main actor in this video (Dali Bensallah) plays in the 2021 "No Time To Die" 25th James Bond movie as the right hand man to the main villain. Crazy huh? Yeah just found out too and funny thing is I watched the movie just yesterday😂 Crazy coincidence.
No way! I've just seen it too and this track was in an ad that played before the movie started. That's so weird
Came here to see this comment! So stoked for the man!! :))
Dude this is my favorite music video ever, I've probably seen it 100 times (no exaggeration) and I got SOOO caught off guard when I saw him, I started fangirling lol.
Instantly recognised him when I saw him. I told my buddy that and he was like nah...I whipped my phone out in the intermission and voila 😁
I knew he looked familiar
The actor is depicting the internal state of every young northern African citizen. So much respect for the art work and the directing of this video piece.
Algerian 🇩🇿💪
I moved to London, now I'm homesick watching this again for the 100th time...crying rivers every time. There is no place like your home. Nothing else matters.
The shot that starts at 3:40 is one of the best ive seen in all music clips
Yeah man- that was nuts. 🦍
The main actor (Dani Benssalah) is going to be in the new James Bond movie. Insane, mad props to the guy.
Amazing to hear this!

I can’t believe it’s cinema. So true actor’s job
This is just plain and simple unadulterated raw emotion. A bitter sweet moment, after such a long absent tenure, the one missing finally comes home. For those who never do, this is a homage of what it could have been. For my brother that left... May we see you home soon.
I am from Tunisia that looks exactly like Algeria, I live thousands of miles away from my family, every time I miss mom, I watch this video, dreaming of coming back soon and hugging her..
Dude she prays for you everyday, she may not be with you but 'da3awtha maqbulin' stay safe and you'll meet her as soon as possible inchallah. Salam from Morrocco
يتلم شملكم عما قريب
Wish you’ll get to do that soon Love from Algeria
Alas, you will...
DALI BENSSALAH incredible acting right there. The first time I watched this clip, I knew that guy was going to be come a great actor. Pure talent ! So many emotions dispatched. Well done !
This makes me think about my husband’s family in Palestine😢❤
All my support to you and your family. Hope they get free and safe very soon. ❤️🇵🇸

I was thinking the same... Seeing back our friends, be free to party and go out as we like... Can't wait...
holy shit, re-watching this made me feel ten times more emotional. even though it did made me emotional when i listened to it back then. but this time, it´s way different. one day
lmao
Came back to this video just to find this comment.
LMAOOOOOO!!!!!!!
I'm a Swiss guy living in Switzerland. I can't relate the slightest to the story portrayed in this video, and yet it touches me like few other videos have. The vibe, the message, the track, it's so pure and honest, when I'm in the right mood, this song makes me nostalgic for something I haven't even experienced. This is art.
True art!
@@debbido8801 yes theres many ways, you can go to romandy area where they speak french and manage your things out

I am an Albanian living in Italy and as an immigrant I can tell you this song hits pretty hard, brings tears to my eyes every time I watch it, I don't know how but they managed to describe exactly the feeling of going back home, all is on point, the music, the video, just... wow👌🧐
Kimseyle paylaşmak istemediğim fav klibim, fav şarkım. Hikayesi ayrı bi güzel
i've never seen a man that can do boxing and dancing perfectly at the same time
impossible not to feel the actor. too good, universal emotions home
Sofiane Sididriss wtf his name is Dali Bensallah, algerian-french actor
@@Mohamed-qe3dz hey moh, i love to lie for a living
you say, home
it was an honor for me to participate in this clip, so many emotions that we really cried, we spent moments both strong and moving, beautiful music with love
Congrats you all did a great job! Greetings from Qatar.
Are you from Algeria?
I always wonder how people come to be comfortable enough to cry and live moments like that when there is cameras and spotlight and everything around you, how did you film that scene, was there music or something special to feel good?
Great work Radjaa! Are you Algerian? And do you live in Algeria?
@@user-xd7zx8nc6c I will answer it as an actress in theater and tv series, if you know the background story of a scene you have to dwell in it, call emotions in by different means. Cameras are not a problem at all when you are living in the moment of scene you dont notice them anymore
I love this video so much. I cry my heart out every single time I watch it. I'm gonna do a cold plunge right now, this song will be played in the freezing water so I can feel it in my blood. Don't ever walk away from your emotions.
Song of my life...
