To stay comfortable and healthy and to keep your baby safe, sleep on your side, and not on your back, from 28 weeks. Going to sleep on your side is safer for your baby than you going to sleep on your back. When you sleep in a safe and comfortable sleeping position, you can help stay comfortable and healthy as well as help keep your baby safe. Learn more at matermothers.org.au

My obgyn reassured me that back sleeping was fine for me at 28 weeks and on as long as I put a pillow under my back. I tend to use pillows and blankets to keep me sleeping at a 40 degree incline on my back. Every person is different though so checking with your own doctor is important
But it is not only back pain that you experience, you also get hip pain from all the pressure by sleeping on one side.
Tell me about it … my hips be so sore it’s not fun … 😢
I literally cry in the morning during by hip pain
So glad I’m not the only one
Yup. I wake up and can’t go back to sleep no matter how I reposition because the hip I sleep on HURTS
