Omg, for everyone commenting about the way she’s moving her head, she’s doing that so she doesn’t blow out the mic, that’s why she’s only doing it on the high/belted notes.
@johnnyross55753 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I was a bit puzzled and someone mentioned Joe Cocker on another clip of hers. It all makes sense now (clearly, I’m not a musician).
@Booboonancy3 жыл бұрын
Hahaha! Has anyone actually TRIED to hit her notes while throwing in that Alanis twang? You HAVE to move around your head to get these notes. I've tried. If you don't move your head, the notes do not sound the same. Its a real thing people. I've kind of perfected it. In my shower though, of course. Ha hahaha!
@thejanuaryfall3 жыл бұрын
Mics are tricky and if you can find a way to sing into them, why not? She's been singing for 35? years, pretty sure she's a professional. She sounds friggin great!!
@banjara1013 жыл бұрын
If singets don't move away from the mic when they're belting. It gets loud and very distorted. That is why she's moving like that. There is no other reason. It doesnt help you hit high notes, and it's not a tic, etc, etc...I'm a singer and I do this, most singers do this, or they pull the mic away and down, if they're holding it.
@velvetblack59103 жыл бұрын
singer here: the higher notes are always louder because there is more strain applied to get them... so you should move your mouth away from the mic to compensate and make them sound as loud as the lower ones... also moving your head from side to side helps you reduce the aforementioned stress from your neck so you dont damage your vocal cords...
