  • My Mom remarried when I was 9 she went on to have 3 kids and I became an 80s Cinderella. Starting at the age of 12 , I'd wake up to a list of chores while she would be long gone with her new husband and children. In the beginning I'd ask why they didn't wake me up so I could go along, My Mom would always say that she tried but I wouldn't wake up. I cried so much . I just wanted her to love me like she once did. Here I am now 51 years of age longing for her to hug me. But she doesn't want to be a part of my life. She said I am the spitting image of my Dad and he cheated on her and would abuse her.. so I guess I remind her.of him way too much. My Dad died in 2015.I tried through the years to have a relationship with her but she is so cold hearted. I still pray for her and the rest of my family. But going through that has made me the over affectionate Mom that I am to my 2 boys. I've forgiven her but I will never forget. Stay Blessed and Be Happy everyone.. no matter what Keep Smiling. *** Update*** 6/4/21 it has been 3 weeks since I made my post and I am overwhelmed with the amount of pouring love, support and kindness from people I have never met!!! I am crying😭 as I write this! Thank you all SO VERY MUCH. Each and Every one of you are truly remarkable people to have taken the time to reply.💞 Wow! GOD BLESS EACH OF YOU. My Mom will be 73 on June 10. She is getting up there in age I've sent her flowers in the past decade and she doesn't respond back not even with the thank you. I am done trying to mend our relationship. She hasn't even met her grandson who is now 10 years old! I will do my best to reply back to each of the 39 comments that I have on here but all I got to say is thank you so much for lifting up my spirits my broken heart has healed a little more because of each of your genuine good hearted replies. 🥰💖💯

  • He wrote an article in the newspaper that this was indeed about his father, and growing up with him completely absent. I agree, there are some lyrics that definitely have a more intimate connotation, but he wanted it to be about a family, so that does include his mom, who had to grow up without the father figure. He had eight siblings and his mom had to raise them alone. It’s one of the most excruciating and beautiful songs, don’t you think?

  • This song explains how when someone hurts you so bad but you just can't seem to get them out of your mind, everything you do they're always in your mind & you wish them the best but hope they would come back but in reality they not even worrying or thinking about you. Love hurts but I've heard it's not suppose to hurt, I can't wait for that real love that don't hurt.
