Designed a new Rc jet. A cross between the SR71 and the X-men Xjet. Let’s see if I can get this thing flying

Looks like the Jet in the X-Men Movie series - forward sweep, nacelles and everything. Super stuff!

This is so so cool! I've been inspired to design my own printed craft by channels like you. Hoping to maiden it next week🤞

Very nice design! Yes I also used a chuck for my negativ swept wing edf and it worked out pretty well!

I love it! She will fly, no doubt about it. I hope in prototype 2 fuselage will be wider, for battery but also for a lift, this is lifting body.

Thanks! Yup the fuselage will be larger

Although the fuselage does provide lift, a "lifting body" plane is something where only the fuselage provides lift, i.e. something with no wings, a.k.a. the opposite of a flying wing (which has no fuselage.) If you were to call this plane a 'lifting body," then you would have to call a conventional plane with a flat bottom also a lifting body. Planes like the F-14 or F-15 have fuselages that provide lift but there are not what are generally referred to as lifting bodies. Planes like the X-24A, M2-F3 and HL-10 are lifting bodies.

@@toolbaggers ok, you are more precise mr wikipedia ;-) . Nevertheless wide fuselages create also lift. It doesn't matter what you call them.

With sept forward put the controls towards the end of the wings. The old BOP (bird of prey) from way back in the day had full length controls and that plane could roll and turn on a dime.

Isn't doing that exactly what they did to the sr-71 before using it on x-men ?

looks like we will see a sr71 out of this airframe then ? just the outboard wing panels need to be sr71

Never thought about that! Lol. I know they don’t fly particularly well in RC form. I may need to take some liberties to increase the wing a little if I do it
