Timestamp 5:28 - In a different video where they were changing out golf holes, the person also put sand around the hole to help the new grass grow. Sand is actually super necessary for plant growth which is why the global dusting from the Saharan Sand Storms is so welcome.

True. Lay sharp sand over the soil before the turf goes on top, it agitates the grass roots to grow quicker.

Sand is not “super necessary”. It’s used on greens to help smooth and flatten them and improve drainage. This is for a very specific reason on a specific type of plant. Many plants outright refuse to grow in any sort of sandy soil.

The cow poo goes into a slurry pit...which is then put into a tank on a tractor and spread on the pasture to fertilise it...the perfect circle of use.
