  • When she said "I have to control my anger infinitely more than you" I literally burst out laughing at the stupidity of that. Her argument was that she was catcalled and mildly harassed by some random dudes, when Bruce had an accident that led to him killing who knows how many innocents while being chased by the US government, who wanted to murder or enslave him. And that's only the most basic stuff he's had to deal with. He was trapped in his own body with no control for two years on an alien planet. The love of his life died and everyone hates him, despite him being pivotal in saving HALF THE FRIGGING UNIVERSE. Frig off, show.

  • My wife pointed out the lowered standards to become a practitioner of the mystic arts. First point: the sorcerer supreme (Ancient One,Dr.Strange) had great foresight to know about the people they were dealing with. Wong, on the other hand clearly did not learn as much as he could about Danny Blaze before kicking him out while this guy took a SLING RING. The second point: the process to become a student is lowered it seems. After Wanda killed nearly everyone, Wong seems to be recruiting through indeed, whereas Strange nearly depleted all of his money and resources just to FIND the ancient one and was kicked out initially. Times have changed.

    @liquidjackson7172@liquidjackson7172 Жыл бұрын
    • Well you see, the sorcerers didn't exist before "Doctor Strange," so it made sense to introduce them as this elite, exclusive, secretive group. But now that we and the Avengers know about them, they're just out in the open all over the place, casually casting spells on a whim.

    • That's actually a fair point. But you do know that there are a thousand things that you could break down in a similar way across many pieces of entertainment, right? With Marvel, you could make an entire video of why Thor acts the way he does when he's 1500 years old... which goes back to Angel from Buffy sleeping with a teenager and a whole bunch of other stuff. The guy who does Pitch Meetings points out this kind of stuff all the time.

    • It also adds the effect of making Wong look like a dozy, aloof, incompetent douche bag which I hate because I love the actor (Benedict Wong) and the character. When was the last time, before Oye Primos that is, when you heard about lots of bad publicity for a horrendous new show from Disney Channel or Disney Junior or even a new film from the Disney Animated Canon that was assumed to be bad? Lots of other people still get excited for new Disney Channel shows or new animated Disney movies that are original properties and not remakes, because they are written by a different league of much better talented Disney writers who do not pander to the activists outside of their demographic. You hear a lot of complaints against the live-action remakes, but rarely for other live-action Disney+ original films or shows that are not connected to Marvel, Lucasfilm, or remakes of the classic animated films.

Tatiana could just plagiarize everything these guys said in this video. Maybe Wong can offer her to pass through a portal to see the error of her ways, but instead she just crosses the line and speaks with the writing staff and have them change some shit.

    • Now see, that would be Deadpool levels of funny. She-Hulk complaining "Why I am I written like this? Why did you make me twerk? I look like an idiot!" and the writers desperately trying to calm her down before she hulks out and wrecks Disney. FFS, My Little Pony pretty much did that in an episode and it was hilarious. But that would require introspection and the ability to laugh at oneself, and the showrunners of She-Hulk don't seem to have that.

  • The dude she "catfished" did know though. She literally started one scene with him by finishing telling the guy about her court room transformation. That said... yes. This show is inconsistent and contradicts itself a couple minutes later, repeatedly, due to bad writing. He knew she transformed, but was genuinely confused to see her in her human form? The guy was enjoying reading a feminist book... yet yeeted himself out of a one night stand after seeing her? It's like they wrote the character and filmed his first scenes... then at the last second realized they needed a payoff for that B plot, to provide reasoning for him not to be a part of future episodes, and of course "Oh yea! Men are supposed to be bad!". They literally changed the character. Its like the morning version of the guy is a completely different character entirely, as hes not consistent with what he was presented to be before. To say that writing room lacked talent would be an understatement! It was a black hole of talent. Seriously. Cram a bunch of no talent 30 year old women writers in a room, and the density of them collapses into a black hole that destroys the talent of anyone in the vicinity. I imagine its just some sort of echo chamber where the worst ideas are pitched, and they are all so concerned with being overly supportive of each other that nothing is rejected, or refined else someone might have their feelings hurt.

  • It feels like She-Hulk is acting as a conveyance for _other_ people's sitcoms. The Hulk, with his Mexican getaway and bar (needs a few extra people to make it more Cheers), getting shanghaied to save the world at the end of every episode. Emil in a monster harem romcom/sitcom, with his seven soulmates (shades of Way of the Househusband anime?). Wong with his hypercompetent drunk sidekick, who's only competent when drunk. If you ignore the actual She-Hulk stuff in the show (most lawyer stuff, all dating stuff), it feels like a series of pilots for other sitcoms, which each seem to have a better 'feel' than She-Hulk itself.

  • I feel like Gotham, batshit crazy as it was, was a lot more fun than any of the crap Marvel has been 'streaming' for the past few years. Daredevil on Netflix was AWESOME, they nailed the character and now that he has been MARVELIZED (trademark on that term) I know he will be turned into a goofy, incompetent, one liner spitting fool who is a shadow of his former self. It's almost as if they're deliberately driving people into being nostalgic for a better time. Stupid really, the fact is there were much better shows up until very recently, let's say about 2016 and then it all went to shit... Wokebusters, Gay of Thrones, She Hoe and so many more, Captain Virtue Signal and the Whiny Soy Boy. I just watch old shows now, how about you? What are YOU WATCHING? :)

  • I was thinking about this after the last episode: what's the actual season arc? In every other MCU show, you could see where the final battle was. Falcon and Winter Soldier had the Flagsmashers. WandaVision had the mystery of the Hex. Moon Knight had Ethan Hawke's character. She-Hulk seems to be aiming for a Titania fight, but there's no sense of consequence. As of right now, it's heading towards a legal battle that the only reason Jen will fight is because the story needs her to. In the real world, she wouldn't even care that the name she never chose or liked has been trademarked.
