  • i watched this video at least five times. I always think I'm an adult and can go out in the field and operate this thing, but I always come back here to fix my settings after I failed myself lol. I subscribed b\c of this video and your endless content on the ZV-1. Hope you're still around when I finally graduate to Sony VENICE.

I've been using an A6400 for work videos for 18 months and just got the ZV-1 for my own business. I feel like the ZV-1 does everything the A6400 does for me and now thanks to you, I can hopefully prove myself right.

I found myself doing a lot of playing, pausing and rewinding 😂with the purpose of aligning my camera settings to yours. At some point i paused this video and went to watch another video on your channel (Sony ZV 1 s-sinetone) and came back to resume this one. I learned so much within a short space of time, and because of you, i value my camera more than i ever did before....You really are making some positive impact...watching from South Africa ✌

As you stated, I also choose 26 as the audio level but was having trouble w/ the 3.5 inch cord for a RODE Lav microphone. I wonder if this is a settings issue that needs to be adjusted to manual, and/or does it have anything to do with the 3.5 inch TRRS cord? Do you have any recommendations on how to properly use an external Lav mic (with cord).

  • That was hugely helpful. Especially for setting the custom buttons! The only thing is you were showing that you set HFR in your functions menu but I don't think that let's you toggle to HFR mode. You still have to hit mode first and go to HFR mode. Def correct me if I'm wrong!

    • Brilliant observation! You are correct. Thank you fro taking the time to comment that! Hugely helpful to the community. The HFR settings if the function menu are only set to HFR FPS setting. You do still have to access HFR through the HFR mode. You are very observant great work! I would still leave the HFR setting within the function menu so you can quickly toggle between the high frame rate options while you are in the HFR mode. Thanks again

Now the tutorial I really wanna see is how to shoot using those memory recall you've registered using slog2 and how to color grade them. I'll definitely wanted to see that tutorial.

But once I've done some test videos and stored some of the key settings within the memory functions, I should be good to go.

  • Thanks for the video. On the other hand if I have a Crane M2 stabilizer, what should I put as a parameter on the ZV1 for stabilization? In Standard or Active mode? And for the iso you set it at 125, but when filming indoors, it's better not to have a range between min and max to avoid dark areas ?Thank you.

    @nazcaalwave4522@nazcaalwave45223 жыл бұрын
    • Hi Nazca, thanks for your input. If you are on a gimbal I would set to active if you are shooting a subject and standard if your vlogging. Active is always best but it punches in. Yes I agree that there shouldn't be a "range" when shooting indoors for your iso however know that the footage gets pretty noisy once you pass 2500 ISO so keep that in your mind when filming in low light or indoors. Its always better to light the environment and keep the ISO lower. Thanks again!
