I like how the writers incorporated some of the real Anastasia's personality into the character. The real Anastasia was pretty mischievous and sassy. She usually didn't care much for royal gatherings as they rarely had anyone interesting to talk to, even people her own age. She also hated having servants dress her up for big events and didn't care much either for fancy dresses. The palace was pretty much the only place where she was allowed to be free-spirited and spent much of her free time pulling pranks on the palace staff, hiding in cupboards when her parents or tutors were looking for her and throwing snowballs at her sisters but as she got older she matured out of her mischievous nature and started writing satires and jokes in her free time, though she continued to be sassy and smart-mouthed. This made her Alexei's favourite sister, since she was sometimes able to ease his suffering by making him laugh. And as Alexei got older, he and Anastasia became very close even though he was considerably calmer and more respectful of authority than her. Honestly, the fact that someone so full of life was murdered stings my heart. The Romanovs were such a loving family.

Czar Nicholas was a terrible czar but a good man and father. He was given a crap hand when he came into power, and because his father did not do anything to teach him how to rule he did the best he could. It wasn't enough. Russia was centuries behind in many things and the people kinda just had enough. It didn't help that he made stupid terrible short sighted decisions that because he had absolute authority, he had no one to blame but himself.

During the family being assassinated, it's often said that Anastasia sat up after being shot because the children had the family's jewels sown into their clothes. This song hurts with the animation because people often forget that her father really didn't have an interest in being the Tsar and was more family focused. The royal family didn't have to die, innocent children were murdered. Even now, researchers aren't sure if the female skeleton found belongs to Anastasia or her sister Maria.

So after watching a scene from the movie on a KZhead short, I was 10 at the time I didn't know it was her but the song that was playing ( this song ) For some reason had me like in a trance😅, so for awhile I was just humming that song then one day I was like ok I'm tired of this so I searched up Anastasia and found this movie and I fell in love and ever since then I've been having a ballet dance at random times singing this song In my room. And you'll see me fangirling about this story. And I'll be buying the book soon.❤

my princess 🥰🥰
This sound is so wonderful. The person who is reading this comment, I wish you great success, health, love and happiness!
this song hits different once you know the real story of what happened
This sounds like what dark academia feels like the haunted but nostalgic castle and misty smell.
Always my fav movie growing up. Enchanting is an understatement for this movie
God bless! Thank you for this!
Love her
Me too
It's fake. All of the Romanovs died.
one of best cartoon song!
"Someone holds me safe and warm" 😫
This song makes me miss people I've never met and places I've never seen
Czar Nicholas was a terrible czar but a good man and father. He was given a crap hand when he came into power, and because his father did not do anything to teach him how to rule he did the best he could. It wasn't enough. Russia was centuries behind in many things and the people kinda just had enough. It didn't help that he made stupid terrible short sighted decisions that because he had absolute authority, he had no one to blame but himself.
The last bit with her dad 😢
Absolutely beautiful
It's very an emotional and so amazingly a beautiful song it's reminded me back to my childhood years
My Ex-fiance was named Anastasia "Princesses don't Marry Kitchen boys".
💀💀💀
one of the most beautiful song ever from my childhood.
I think the reason I love this song so much is because my birthday is in December :/ (December 22 specifically)
That is one beautiful magical ballroom fantasy.
Anastasia is my comfort movie fr
I’m getting old but not old enough to get board of this song and movie!
Ух ты, эта песня и на английском шикарно звучит
such a gorgeous song.
If your friends grandma didn't watch this with you while you were being baby sat as she trashed talked Rasputin in the background, you had no kind of childhood lol
I love this song sm still
For me a lot of old memories start flooding back for some reason. Long, old familiar memories
I love watching this, I have it on dvd
My Father calls me Anastasia he tells me all the time that i remind him of This Anastasia
I love Anastasia, Anastasia and Anastasia.
Es la primera vez que lo escucho en inglés y es magnífico ❤❤❤

LOVELY song lyrics... Anastasia is having a sudden guilty conscience about her own past....
uh i just love December SO much and its my birth month
I've been to a haunted castle and slept in the beds anyways... it reminded me of this song bc obvi... and then I listened to it. IT WAS SICKKKKK.
It’s giving past life memories
Ilove december ❤
Hello love this song 😊
OMGAAAFAFAFAFAF HER SONG ARE SOOOO ARGHHHHHH AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
i like this song in Russian so much. so glad i am a native speaker
Even though it's a cartoon, what makes me more sad, the most is seeing one of the sisters comparing the size of her hand to Anastasia's, because in the murder, she was still a child :( /Sorry the bad english
my childhood
Love you forever 🌹
During the family being assassinated, it's often said that Anastasia sat up after being shot because the children had the family's jewels sown into their clothes. This song hurts with the animation because people often forget that her father really didn't have an interest in being the Tsar and was more family focused. The royal family didn't have to die, innocent children were murdered. Even now, researchers aren't sure if the female skeleton found belongs to Anastasia or her sister Maria.
I can't believe how many years past when I first watched this.
🎉 new-year Alie!
I was 7 when this was in the movie theaters was awesome because I loved the animation. I used to have the Anastasia doll from the movie but I had to give it to my cousin because I couldn’t keep my toys picked up off the floor.
This is a Christmas song. Fight me.
😂
@@44houses :)
*starts floating*
It’s the time!
Man most of the songs in Anastasia slap and they have no right to go that hard! 😅
I feel old 😭
In need of a live action
They have one. I think it's a Broadway production
@@nevermoreraven3340 no but a live action film
@@zilsm I know I was just letting them know their is a musical if they were interested. I'm personally fine without the film because there's things you can do with animation you can't with traditional film. Though it could be cool
No it isn't. Live action adaptations as a concept are an insult to animation as an art form.
@@vetarlittorf1807 but this was based off of real people 🤔
I love you ❤️❤️❤️❤️💔🥺
Я пытаюсь понять, где я слышала эту прекрасную песню
This movie is like a memory from a dream that you almost remember Her and Bartock exist there but I don't remember how or why.

Я говорю по английски. Но очень приятно что сделали мульт про нашу царевну.
I remember when I was a girl my grandmother had this song on a karaoke machine
This song reminds me a lot of Twisted Wonderland, especially the characters from the diasomnia dormitory...
Okay so who's ready for a story. So . My mother originally wanted to give me anya as my middle name but I have something else but whenever I ask she says she got it from the movie Anastasia and I was like umm ok I didn't know what it was. later I asked and she started to explain anya's story but not well and I just didn't understand.
Princess... Welcome back...

Opening To Anastasia 1997 VHS
Me imagino en un baile real con esta canción
