    • @Jolie Bancroft okay, but they aren't remaking it. the action is being played in the same universe as we live in, they can watch the movie just like us. they are playing students of real school that high school musical was being filmed. the plot of the series isn't like the movie, because they are just doing a play as in a school theatre. and as i said in the first comment, zac efron didn't sing in the first movie at all. drew seeley did. the female main actor in the series is new to the music industry probably, so she have to practice. also she is and actor and not a singer so che doesn't have to sing very well on the stage. the important is that she can play the role they gave to her.

    • Alana Lewis it wasn't that zac wasn't up to it. The songs were already written in a certain key before they cast anyone and zacs voice wasn't in that key. They wrote the sequel songs knowing zacs register which is why he sang his own sons in 2 and 3

    • @Brent Orji, The song is sung in a muchlower key because Joshua Bassett doesn’t have a high vocal range. Olivia Rodrigo is vocally better and it’s a shame she has to sing at a lower key because he can’t match it if it’s any higher.

  • I really enjoyed this they were nervous and is one of there first performances but I still think they are really good singers and I’m super excited to see the series !   • To be honest I really love the original movie and it will still be in my heart because I grow up watching them. But at the same time I’m happy theirs new people that has the opportunity to shine in their own way. Vanessa told in the seventeen video that she wants new people to be on the high school musical. She wants to let other people do it. This is the next generation of high school musical I’m so happy we are living it.
