Inspired by a true story, The Vow is the tale of a love that refuses to be forgotten. Leo (Channing Tatum, Dear John ) is devastated when a car accident plunges his wife Paige (Rachel McAdams, The Notebook ) into a deep coma. She miraculously recovers - but the last five years of her memories have vanished. Suddenly, Leo finds himself married to a stranger who can’t remember anything about him. Naively, Paige falls back under the influence of her controlling parents (Sam Neill and Jessica Lange) and reconnects with her ex-fiancé (Scott Speedman). Desperately, Leo tries to recreate the moments that shaped their romance. Can he rekindle the passion before he loses Paige forever?
I like how he says ”Let’s try something new”. Like this is a fresh start and not another attempt to recreate their past relationship.
….and then he had an affair and destroyed it all.😢
@@TrustJesus333 Well this movie is only losely based on that real life story anyway.
If I woke up with no memory and he said that we were married, I'd never doubt that!
😂😂😂😂
Same here😍
Yep. No questions. Just take me home, baby!
I’d be so proud of myself for snagging that hottie!
lmao
'Pictures of you' by The Cure was the perfect song for the pre credits
Some people does not see what the final dialog means, when he says about going to a new place that they've neven been before, is like he's conscious that this is not a continuation from the relationship they had before, this is new, if we want to have a second chance, we need to go further than before, to a new place where we've never been into
What a beautiful ending, so real, simple and touching
Unfortunately real ending is quite tragic. Couple divorced due to his affair...
@@ulubione1049 well damn. That sucks.
@@ulubione1049 HE HAD AN AFFAIR?
Channing taste yum
I deeply love this scene ♥
I formed waterworks when .she said “you accepted me for the way I am and not how you would of wanted me to be.than he said “I just want you to be happy “. The vow is one of my favourite movies. It just brought back so much memories watching that movie.
“You did everything. You accepted me for who I am, and not for what you wanted me to be.” You cannot put a price on what Christmas has given me this year. It was truly a Christmas miracle ❤️💚
The way Paige looks at Leo spells… love. ❤ May we all meet a girl who looks at us the way Paige looks at Leo in the thumbnail.
I always loved this scene. The color lights behind her. The meaning behind it. She’s finally finding herself. Compare it to the scene in the wedding where they break up and there’s white-still lights behind her representing the boring and dull life she had in her past and was reliving at that moment. Representing her blank memory to it now having newfound colors.
I love Rachel Mac Adams..she was really lovely in this film. And about time too...And Channing is a great actor. Good film !
Loved this movie and this final scene couldn't have been a better ending. A fresh start to create new memories together.
I love this actress. Her emotions are saw raw and the Chicago city scape is so beautifully romantic.., and the snow falling. Just beautiful.
I really loved this movie Rachel is a good actor she was really good in the notebook
One of the best songs to end on... The Cure... Pictures of You
Am I the only one showing love for The Cure? Incredible.
This is the way we should look at relationship...thanks.
"You accepted me for who I am, not who you wanted me to be" "I just wanted you to be happy" Excellent writing...!
One of my all time favorite songs. The Cure "pictures of you". Beautiful tune
One of the most beautiful and natural endings…❤ Hopeful.
I love this film , i love these two in this film....they should do more feel good films together like this one
2:30... she's adorable. The feeling I get when I see her smiling and asking... I miss that feeling irl. Like I've been grinding so hard... I kinda forgot what it's like to feel
Just an embodiment of what "IS".....love it 💓💞
Except the true story this is based on, they remarried had kids…and he cheated on her. Then they divorced shortly after this movie was made.
One of my favourite movies ever
this scen, never failed me 😭😭😭
The acting by these 2 really sells this scene. Also the dialogue is just spot on....You can see it in their eyes that they are feeling this part....And I'm not big on H"wood or actors for reasons I won't disclose. But the ending to this movie is absolutely perfect. Just love the ending and you can literally feel the love these characters have for each other!
How cute, She just had to realize that all the life she had with her family was a lie or the guy she had a crush on was nothing like she wanted and then just happend that she wanted to get back with this guy... Just because he always accepted her... SO ROMANTIC!!!
Perfect timing and use of the song “pictures of you” by The Cure ❤
I love you in every universe- Dr. Strange
Love this Movie and this Song 🥰🥰🥰
Love this movie💗
I Loved this movie!!
this is my favorite scence in this movie
This is my favourite favourite movie 🎦
I loved this 3 minute movie! 🎥
A nice ending that offers hope.
that's when I fell in love with Rachel McAdams
Whoever chose Pictures of You for this scene! Wow! Clutch! Giv’em and Oscar
Wonderful ending
Thank you .. you did everything ..you accepted me for who I am .. not for what you wanted me to be 💕
I love this movie❤Channig and Rachel are the best👍😍
Linda estória de amor esse filme ❤️❤️🇧🇷🇧🇷
Theses two were a match
“There were so many times that I almost did,..but to drive you away from your family again? It’s just felt wrong” This is the phrase Page knew he did everything
You know what's worse? When you lose some of your memories and it's too late when you realize you still love the person while your memories together are slowly coming back, you can't do anything but move on and just accept that that person is with someone else now. That's why I'm so happy for Leo and Paige; they still get their chance to have a happy ending. ❤️
He is my favourite actor. I love him ❤️
Да! бывают же такие подарки небес,,😍
odd choice
My fav The Vow❤
These 2 are amazing in love movies like Dear John and the notebook. We need more!! Btw this was just added on netflix yall😊
💙💙💙💙 love this movie and the actor and actress
I'm usually not a fan of romantic movies and I have delayed watching this one tons of times before, but today I was like "fuck it, let's watch it and see how good it is" .. and frankly I wasn't expecting the ending to be potentially happy .. Needless to say this ending is sweeter than hot chocolate, and I just love every second of it
Love is a crazy thing.
An amazing movie.....

Любимый фильм! И волшебные слова
This movie was so heartfelt and beautifully written movie about Cricket and Kim carpenter. I love these 2 actors. Rachael and Channing, I can't imagine how you remember everyone else except your own husband, but truth is maybe because she knew he was a cheater??? 25 year's of lies
Es una bella película y en este caso se podría decir...es una hermosa historia de amor real.
Esta inspirada de echos reales, no quiere decir que asi paso
@@Shad_QC buen punto, pero déjame disfrutar lo que imaginé 😺
Beautiful just beautiful ❤️
Love is amazing
Why am I not seeing movies like this NOW...
i mean they hammered this genre hard in the late nineties and early oughts and they are timeless in a way
I love the vow ❤
Love you two
Love this movie and love Rachel McAdams
She's so beautiful
Now, that is Destiny!
How often are you lucky enough to get to see her fall in love with you a second time
May God bless your love!
Make new memories
Why did they not end the movie like this!!!!!!???? Ughhhhhh I just criedddd
Not sure when this came out but I only watched it earlier this year. I put off watching it simply because I'm not a big channing tatum fan, I mean I don't dislike him I just find most of his acting to be very monotone and devoid of the proper emotion. I actually like this movie though and genuinely felt bad for his character because that has to be rough. I ended up buying this one, it's one of those ones that has like three scenes I really like so every so often I'll fire it up just to watch those scenes. This is one of the three. :)
Qual o nome desse filme
Outro filme que eu amo ❤ Ela não lembra dele, mas fica com ele, porque sim!
1:50 Did her earring just disappear in the middle of the scene and then just never came back?
The Vow means alot to me, Father Jeremy died young from a local church after he asked me out hunting, but more importantly I gave my devotion vows to the Grand architect of the universe and I love him and we have a lovely son.
Yo wtf
Moral of story look ahead not behind
This movie will always have a special place in my heart. Rachel McAdams will always be an actress that I am fond of, and I think she is better with Channing Tatum than with Ryan Gosling
The moral of the story is he had to accept her for who she was now instead of trying to pick up the pieces of who she once once he decided to start again and focus on a new future with her. Beautiful story I’d give it a 10 but people would complain so I’ma give it a 9
Well, good. I've inky seen clips and thought they were screwed
Ugh my heart aches
❤...
I can never watch this film the same way again after the real life couple got divorced 😬
🧡
Pior que dizem ter sido baseado em fatos reais
💔
🙌
This movie doesn’t even hold the same value for considering the guy Kim Carpenter who Leo is based off of cheated on the the women Krickitt Carpenter who Paige is based off of
What’s so sad about this story other then it’s loosely based on a true story..but the man in the true story ended up cheating and now they aren’t together anymore 😭
That's just how life is sometimes. Not everything is forever but it doesn't mean it wasn't important, beautiful or special at that point in time.
Why you got to ruin it for everybody??!? 🤣🤣🤣LOL
@@davidpehrson3707 I didn’t ruin the movie it was in a magazine
@@SouthernBelleWhisper it was a joke honey. Don't take it so hard
seriously? :/ damn ..
If I’m not mistaken, Rachel and Channing are the only actors who had starred twice in Nicholas Sparks’ movies.
Patients pays off
People can shit on this movie all they want, but I love it sooo yeah.
Too bad the real people didn't stay together
I heard that! DAMN!!!!! The real life inspiration for this movie ended up splitting apart. Ugh.
They were together for 25 years after her meteors loss. I’d say that’s pretty damn amazing
@@christianberrios8944 it's simply sad what happened after. Adultery sucks
Yeah, it happens. In the movie, It Could Happen to You, the lottery winner’s wife said!without a doubt we will split the winnings. Without her numbers, there wouldn’t be a winning ticket. He and the waitress had each picked half the numbers. They never left their spouses to be with each other. It is weird how movies based on true stories are twisted into romance.
You’re all aware that those are actors in a film, right?
I did not find the ending satisfying. I would always question her loyalty to me and her having fallen in love with me in the first place as an authentic act. Memory should not make someone a completely different person. Does anyone else feel that way? I feel she would have to "win" Leo back with as much effort as he tried to keep his vow (in the movie not in real life). Lopsided love never works. I have been the only one in love in a marriage and it sucks. It takes two to make and keep a vow.
But she wondered about him and remembered how he treated her. The love part would grow from here as is hinted. It’s a fresh start yet there’s a new attachment being formed, showing that their initial romance fed into the new one.
It's from a true story and they stayed together and had kids
@@3lttlbrds They’re divorced now unfortunately
Personally I disagree and I feel like it's missing the point of her character. She chose to leave the marriage (before the ending of the movie obviously) *because* she was precisely not in love with him and didn't feel like it was fair to Leo to just string him along. In other words, she literally did the opposite of what you faced: which was both people still choosing to stay in the marriage when only one is actually in love. Memory *can* change a person and in her case, it was because the events following when she left her family and met Leo were all erased so staying with him was basically like being with a stranger (actually the movie explained all of this with all of the monologues so I'm confused on how you misunderstood all of this. Did you not watch the movie?). Plenty of people also fall out of love even with their memory intact. But anyway, it's weird to see all these critiques of her character when she went through a traumatic experience that most of us will never face and STILL was able to end up on the path back to Leo by the end of the film. I think y'all are projecting because your own relationships didn't work out
yeah, i didn’t like it either. i really thought he shouldn’t have taken her back. she treated him horribly and now that going back to her richy rich life fell flat she comes back to him as a backup.
This is great and all, but the real story is so, so sad.. Leo cheated on Paige and they divorced a while back
I agree with the comment below and I'd even remember how to make him homemade soup lol comment from ont.
Sorry Luke
So is this like a remake of version of 50 first dates?
Actually, this movie is based on a true story. At the end they show the real couple.
I'm enjoying my button collection
And then they divorced. No happy ending
I can't wait to forget Paige
Just wear the seatbelt lol
Moral of the story: always wear a seatbelt.
