I loved the running gag where he's giving an introspective speech to an injured antagonist as an exposition dump about his past, and the guy dies on him halfway through.
I think at least one of them Did die halfway through. 😂😂😂😂
a million ways to die in the west anyone?
It’s fantastic I hope it comes back in the sequel (if they make one)
@@DanielSan1776 well he had a health scare with his heart recently while filming Better Call Saul, and he's not getting any younger. I hope he's healthy enough for a sequel.

At some point there was, until the movie industry thought it was irrelevant.
i agree you greeting from México
Poor Hutch, he yearned for the normal life of a civilian and got exactly what he wanted. Yet he was never truly happy because he knew deep down this wasn't who he really was. Burning down his house was like the end of a happy dream.
Burning his house down the way he always intended was like an alcoholic popping a bottle after 30 years and his divorce starting. The car chase scene he was HOPING would happen was a kin to a junkie strapping up again after fixing his whole entire life but then saying F it, this is how I WANT to go out. I love John wick movies for sure, but I FELT this one.
He's a reverse John Wick basically
Always like it when "retired assassin" types actually enjoy the civilians life but this movie does a great job of showing that while he loves and cares for his family, part of him misses the violence.
Damn, Saul just keeps on descending into worse crimes doesn't he?
Get yourself a “criminal” lawyer not a criminal lawyer
That's what happens when he doesn't call saul
@@jamescudby3541 not the kind of criminal
Can't call yourself can you
Haha yes he does
I love the thought that he acquired all of those vinyl records trying to be a normal guy, but in the back of his head he also knew that they are great for starting a fire, keeping it going, and making it burn hot. The word "designed" to burn shows how his real self was still there behind the façade. Fantastic writing.
To be fair, basements are essentially the highest level of fire protection encountered in a building if we go by most european standards. This is quiet literally a matter of design regardless of his collection.
@@awakeneddio6012 fire doesnt burn down. it only burns up
@@DaemonsAdvocate You certainly did not understand my comment.
John Wick wants to leave it behind but has no choice. Rob McCall (The Equalizer) does it because it's the right thing to do to help people. Hutch just going through mid life crisis.
I think this is more of an end to his mid life crisis, which in his case was civilian married life
Fun fact: this and John Wick take place in the same universe, it’s been confirmed!

i like scenes like this when they play calming music like this over some disaster or something horrible is going on
One scene that always haunted me was number 9 because there’s a scene with a guy screaming as some calm peaceful music is played, terrifying
Better with none. Ambiguous
Perfect song for the scene
I disagree. It's an overused trope which takes me out of the moment
Like calming or classical music
i love the fact that this entire movie was essentially caused by that god damn kitty cat bracelet
That’s what makes it so funny. Had that Kitty cat bracelet never went missing, none of this would’ve happened
Russian gangsters going around shooting puppies and stealing kitty cat bracelets.
I mean, he still managed to take down a russian crime boss so he could prevent more people from getting hurt, so in the end he still did the right thing.
no, the movie happened because he wanted some action for his life, the trouble with the russian mob had no connection with the bracelet thing
He was CRAVING excitement in his life. That was probably the main reason. The bracelet just tipped him over the edge.
This has to be one of the best movies I’ve seen in 2021. Saw glad I got the theater experience for it because it was so worth it!

John wick: returned because of a dog and a car Hutch: the kitty cat bracelet
He bored them to death, literally. Also, what would have happened if his wife just happened to decide to listen to Louis Armstrong?
I like to think they had multiple copies of that album, and he chose to hide that one away
Either that, or he chose a song his wife hated for a flammable single album
I think that just would have been a hard explain.
This is so reminiscent to Team Fortress 2, Meet the Soldier, without the decapitated heads of Blue Team.
Ah a man of culture
And from that day forward anytime there was more than 1 animal in place was called a Zoo Unless it's a farm
If he threw in a Sun Tzu quote that would have a nice subtle nod to it.
@@Jackw00pw00p2Indeed. If fighting is sure to result in Victory than you must fight. Sun Tzu Said that and I think he know a little more about fighting than you do pal because he invented it. AND PERFECTED IT SO THAT NO LIVING MAN COULD BEST HIM IN THE RING OF HONOR.
What a wonderful world.
Just realised that the Kitty Kat bracelet was the key to the whole film and the reason Hutch got back in the game. If his daughter hadn't dropped it under the sofa he would never have gone out to find the burglars and then gotten on the bus...
We need a crossover... "Hey John" "Hey Hutch" "Back in the game?" "Yeah...some punks took something from me" "I know that feeling. How about I get you a drink?" "Yeah"
What a shameful scene, all those classic vinyl albums gone forever… sigh 😔
They probably bought them all scratched at yard sales and thrift stores. lol
I bet you don't use them.
@@ojmaquiran9304 - Actually, I still have them, but have transferred my music to digital. I simply meant they (some) are collectors items now.
but very beautiful scene at the same time. Lol
@@tylerbonabon9382 - LOL! Beautiful? I will yield to effective or well choreographed… not sure I’m jaded enough to call incinerating two dead [attempted] murderers “beautiful.” 🤣
This is the moment where Saul Goodman's house became Chuck's house
All this, over a kitty cat bracelet that his daughter (Whom he loves dearly) lost after an attempted robbery.
What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong also in Good Morning, Vietnam, Madagascar, and Finding Dory. And parodied in the 2016 Smosh video, Texting Curse.

A movie worth the watch in theaters. I did because this movie deserved it. To be seen in a theater.
I saw it in the theaters twice
Perfect that they put what a wonderful world in this
I love the running gag where he,s giving an introspective speech to an injured antagonist as an exposition dump about his past ,and the guy dies on him halfway through.
To my knowledge, Chrysler never offered a 4.9 l V8..., But Hey I won't argue with nobody!!
If it was a 273 it would be close to 4.9 litres if it was bored out but still not available after 1969 and that car is definitely a 1970 to 74 Challenger
@@notdustinschatz9357 I believe the max over bore on a 273 is 40 over, and at said bore, if I'm accurate, is 286 cubic inches... Roughly 4.7 lites of displacement.
@@notdustinschatz9357 yeah thats a 73-74 challenger, and you could get a 5.9 liter 360 in it. or a 5.6 liter 340... yeah I've got nothing that is even close to 4.7 liters XD
@@neilwhitmore Yeah I was gonna say the 360 is 5.9 so maybe they got it wrong in the script or he said it wrong.

Too bad those vinyl albums. I at least would have kept a bunch of them.
These new better action movies such as Nobody, John Wick etc. really made the genre enjoyable by everyone. They managed to add art into it and make the cheese not only palatable but enjoyable. They threw away the fake, not even technically cheese, American cheese and replaced it with some mouth watering cheddar or some rich gorgonzola with depth of flavour. The genre may still have that cheesiness but it's not off putting anymore. I'm grateful to people who set a standard by producing these masterworks.
Are you telling me that Chuck just happened to burn his house down like that? No, he orchestrated it! Hutch!
This is one of the best movies of 2021
To be fair its less competition this year.
Hasn't been a movie like this in a long time!

When you want something somebody else has, is not jealousy, it is envy. He should have said “I am not an envious guy….”

Just imagine if his son was a little older, he would pour a glass of whiskey, go down to the basement and think to himself, damn I could really listen to some Louis Armstrong right now, then proceed to burn the entire house down.
Whoever got burned is going to be part of their permanent record forever.

The amount of love that I have for this movie just made me to realize how unstable I really am.
It's ok bro......we're not alone
Embrace it my friend. In this world there are sheep, wolves, and the sheepdogs. And then you have the outliers, whom society labels demons, monsters, or freaks. Maybe we are just those folks who looked at the world and decided to dispense with all the bullshit. Unstable and honest is separated by a margin that is paper-thin.

Would not be surprised if he soundproofed the house too.
What a song. So emotional.
Fun Fact: If his jag was the 4.2 Supercharged variant, it would have blown the doors of that Challenger.
yea but what looks more impressive from a rear view? the jaguar logo or the massive bold DODGE
lol right? I own an xk8 so having a jag obsession from this time period it was exciting seeing the s-type, hardly ever see s type r’s around though, but even the 4.2 is good enough, can’t lie I would take the challenger over the s-type in this situation though
Challenger is built with real steel, not plastic euro crap!
The best and great song for the great scene
That white muscle at the end of the video is a 1972-1974 model Dodge Challenger and Dodge Challengers are my favorite muscle cars.
It is very much like a Vanishing Point Dodge Challenger.
It's either a 73 or 74, can't tell which.
I like Pontiac
This is my Best Picture for 2021.
This scene is the anthem of my life.
Love that this movies events sorta kick off with the kitty cat bracelet, and he just happens upon it in his house
My car in HS was a 1971 Dodge Dart Swinger w/340 and after graduation I sold it and bought a 1970 Dodge Challenger w/383 Magnum. Traded that straight across for a 1971 Plymouth Roadrunner w/440 magnum - Tunnel Ram, dual 850 Holley Double Pumpers through the Air Grabber opening...what a damn car that was. I have never seen a Challenger with the 318. If I had had a muscle car with a 318, I would never have bragged about it.

340 V8. Zero to sixty in about 7 seconds, but getting to 60 will FEEL supersonic.
Yea because hemi goes BBRRRRRR
Oh my that lovely record collection if this was reality of course
The song choice very poetic
What a great music room
I would love to hear his stories cause it’s entertaining tbh
The part where the old man sees the two ace of spades tattoo on his left wrist, thanks him and leaves, then locks the others in the room with him after thanking him for his service. That is 'ceasar' you are watching.
this scene with 'What a Wonderful World' by Louis Armstrong is one of the most beautiful movie scenes I have ever scene
Nice scene. I remember this from the mechanic.
The old incindiary phonograph trick, yes.
I mean, that's probably an homage to that, yeah.
I love your vids
I loved this movie but it really could have been a series!
I love the Kallax shelving. One audio reviewer I sometimes watch includes in his review whether or not a component is Kallax Compatible, i.e. whether it will fit in a Kallax shelf. My music room is full of that stuff.
"Give me the f*cking kitty cat bracelets"......
There was just the one, not plural
The bad thing about this movie is the fact that it ends.
I'll say this, you never want to leave the big show. Doesn't matter what you do in life. Some get a few years and some get decades. Enjoy the hell out of it and play hard. I'm hanging on by a thread😮love this movie!
No one with that car is going to refer to it as a 4.9 liter
"It was better than I expected" Why is that so poignant?
I always wonder how the neighbors didn’t notice the automatic gunfire and 7+ heavily armed men, but they do notice the house burning
I assumed the weapons were rigged to be "silent". They sounded muffled. I doubt pros like that would go in drawing attention with noise.
Saul is god in acting
I hope the 4.9 liter line pisses car guys off as much as the infinity mag dump with the dust covers closed on two m16s in Thor Ragnorok pissed gun guys off .
I mean, he was just parroting what his dumbass neighbor said, so...
Hutch: *Tells a story Bad guys: (X__X) 😵😵😵
Whats funny is that not only the whole revenge plot instantly fumbled by that bracelet discovery, he also fumbled the exposition before the guy died
Huh..."Bone burns to ash at 1500 degrees." Thanks Hutch...good to know! Might come in handy in the future. ^_^
