Your camera may be old, but it did just fine. That sconce is beautiful. I need to watch this again. If that fabric is from the dollar tree, please send some south across the border 😢. Honestly, I am going to try this craft even if I have to go to the fabric store. Very nice.

This is a great project and while I was looking at your creative mind started to flourish with many idea's. Also, I have use the dollar tree mats while creating rhinestone templates. I’ve never thought of using chopping mats to make a wall sconce, however, you have given me new insight. The lace with the chrome car trim really finishes it off. The lace may be a more challenging item to find but, I loved the project. Thanks

One way not to burn your finger is to find a cheap silicone narrow spatula or even a pen will keep the hot glue from burning you.

- @@CreaTvDIY It's my Aunt's Birthday (March 17) and she has been so kind and caring with my Dad (80yrs old) when I am not able to travel to see him. My Uncle (Dad's brother/Heather's husband) has cataracts so she has really stepped up! The sconces are my way of saying Thanks! As far as able to do it so quickly. I had all of the supplies and I am a determined person. I did have one fail attempt though.

I live alone so it seemed like a great idea since that is my favorite thing to do since I retired about 5 years ago at age 46 :) I just do online advertising work now. I love my craft room because it's mine & it didn't cost anything to build!

This is beautiful and a great idea! I’ve seen people have these things decorated differently and I liked those too but it didn’t show exactly how they were made. Thank you for sharing this tutorial. I would have liked to have seen how easy it was to turn them on and off. Are they remote? It didn’t seem like it. I’m trying to come up with something that is easy to just press to come on without having to get the more expensive ones. Thank you! Stay safe and well!

- Thanks so much! 😊. The fairy/string lights are powered by a tiny switch attached to the the little battery pack which I attached to the back of the wood palette. I positioned the switch to be accessible towards the bottom. And yes, the LED puck light I inserted towards the end of the video gives additional lighting and it is remote controlled which makes it very convenient to power on/off the sconce. I hope this helps. Have fun if you end up making one for yourself as well. 😊

I made a wall light sconce. I can easily change out the clear cutting board with colored cutting boards. I currently have the cutting board covered with a die cut placemat that can be easily changed. I made it nearly 2 years ago.

No I have never made anything with a chopping Mat but it's such a great idea from the Dollar Tree. But you're right. I would like to know where you get the fabric from. Thank you for your help of making so beautiful project

Could use mats for fridge shelf on Amerzon all colours in pack of 4. That would work as soft. 😊😊
