Might want to check with an audiologist for tinnitus. I've got from playing in bands, listening to loud music, and shooting guns without ear-pro. For me, it comes on like when you'd turn on an old projector television and it's the same pitch but profoundly louder. My remedies are background noise and background music when it starts. Or you're just like the 90 some percent of the global population that experiences ringing during silence. It would be best to get checked out just in case it is something that may need correction.

@@JohnDoe-vf2yo for alot of people, myself aswell, it's not something that can be fixed or corrected. You can ease it with certain things, but it will always be there. Expensive tinnitus hearing aids is an option but seems barbaric and obvious that you are wearing one. Some people report a temporary 90% noise reduction after small to heavy doses of psilocybin mushrooms, but it's just whispers on discussion boards, nothing medically tested. Noise returns after a couple of weeks

I can hear all of them. The first is like higher pitched static, the second is so high pitched that I can't compare it to anything else, 3 is almost impossible to hear, but still there, 4 is that ringing in my ears, 5 is that sound that makes me frantically look around the room wondering if other people heard it too, 6 is physically painful, 7 is a medium pitched hum, 8 is like electricity in the walls.

It could be one of 3 things. They could be lying. It could be the placebo effect (where they imagine that they hear something and act as if it actually happened). Or they have really good hearing and can actually hear it. Remember, the younger someone is, often the higher frequencies they would hear. I remember being in the last few years of middle school, and I’d play a 18-20k hertz sound on my speakers that I hid in my jacket during recess to deter all the younger kids from messing with our snow forts. No one would know where exactly it came from, because at a frequency that high it feels as if it’s surrounding you. It doesn’t work as well in high school, but every now and then you hear a “Do you hear that?” from across the room and get a laugh out of it.

Dogs have sensitive ears...just to put it mildly. High pitched sounds aside...even an ambulance or fire truck which even people find offensive...for a dog it's quite painful. I would never own a dog in a moderate to large city...for this exact reason.

It took me until number 6 before i heard anything. According to army audiology tests a score of 115 is deaf and i think 45 is average. I scored a 115 in my left ear and a 92 in my right lol almost completely deaf and i have dramatic high frequency hearing loss. All i hear is high pitched ringing 24/7 and my wife wonders why im such an alcoholic. Life is great

Might want to check with an audiologist for tinnitus. I've got from playing in bands, listening to loud music, and shooting guns without ear-pro. For me, it comes on like when you'd turn on an old projector television and it's the same pitch but profoundly louder. My remedies are background noise and background music when it starts. Or you're just like the 90 some percent of the global population that experiences ringing during silence. It would be best to get checked out just in case it is something that may need correction.

Expensive tinnitus hearing aids is an option but seems barbaric and obvious that you are wearing one. Some people report a temporary 90% noise reduction after small to heavy doses of psilocybin mushrooms, but it's just whispers on discussion boards, nothing medically tested. Noise returns after a couple of weeks

I can hear all of them. The first is like higher pitched static, the second is so high pitched that I can't compare it to anything else, 3 is almost impossible to hear, but still there, 4 is that ringing in my ears, 5 is that sound that makes me frantically look around the room wondering if other people heard it too, 6 is physically painful, 7 is a medium pitched hum, 8 is like electricity in the walls.

It could be one of 3 things. They could be lying. It could be the placebo effect (where they imagine that they hear something and act as if it actually happened). Or they have really good hearing and can actually hear it. Remember, the younger someone is, often the higher frequencies they would hear. I remember being in the last few years of middle school, and I’d play a 18-20k hertz sound on my speakers that I hid in my jacket during recess to deter all the younger kids from messing with our snow forts. No one would know where exactly it came from, because at a frequency that high it feels as if it’s surrounding you. It doesn’t work as well in high school, but every now and then you hear a “Do you hear that?” from across the room and get a laugh out of it.

@@barrondeville1866 bullshit. Dogs' ear are sensetive that doesnt mean a city noise would hurt them plus this frequence had no relevence to ear sensitivty... Even most human ears will hurt from high pitch. Dogs have higher range so they can hear these frequencies thats it.

It took me until number 6 before i heard anything. According to army audiology tests a score of 115 is deaf and i think 45 is average. I scored a 115 in my left ear and a 92 in my right lol almost completely deaf and i have dramatic high frequency hearing loss. All i hear is high pitched ringing 24/7 and my wife wonders why im such an alcoholic. Life is great
