I stayed at Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo Marunouchi and the view was absolutely amazing. I booked "Queen Train View 20 sqm" room.

If you are a train fan, or enjoy city night views, that room is just perfect for you.
For night views from Tokyo there is a good one at Asakusa , the Richmond Hotel. On a side you have all Tokyo or Asakusa and Sky Tree. on the other. The balcony from the reception is fantastic! Very nice place to stay in.
I must admit that my favorite stays are the small inns with hot springs.
me too @daydreambeliever
This was wonderful!
Definitely agree, plus internet café.

What an incredible view - there is something magical about seeing a city all lit up at night like that!
I’ve never seen such a clean train station in my life!
Incredible view. It reminds me of back in the 1990s when people said Japan would take over the world. Rebuilding this station and this city makes you think anything is possible.
The best travel videos on KZhead.
So good. Can't wait to visit it next week
Have a wonderful trip.
I've only been to Tokyo as a very young child but it's always been my favorite city in the world. It's simply AMAZING! 🤩🤩🤩 Thank you for this video!
Oh, a hotel trip! I always love the ferry rides the most, but cant wait to see this hotel video !!
The ferry videos are my favorites also but he has to change it up once in a while.
That's so cool. I stayed at a hotel in Paddington in the UK with a view like that. Thank you
Do you travel for youtube, or do you travel and youtube on the side? Thank you for your videos. They are an immense pleasure to enjoy!!!😊
Wow. Thank goodness I was worried when you just had your omelette rice with beef that you were ill, but your bag of goodies when got back to the hotel was reassuring😂❤👵🏴❤
Beautiful ❤
So beautiful my friend be safe much love
Oh that's gorgeous. Absolutely incredible. And it was lovely to see hayashi rice!
Wow! Thank you for that awesome view!!!
The room wasn't large, but it looked comfortable, and the view was stunning. It was strange to see the station empty- we usually see it bustling full of people. That omurice looked heavenly, and I recently tried inari for the first time, and loved it. Thanks for taking us along.
Tokyo
This room is a foamer's sweetest dream. Or maybe not, they'd be too busy spotting and admiring the trains at the station to relax and sleep 😂 I certainly liked its location (very convenient), and the food does not look half bad in the slightest. Not sure about the flavor but the presentation made me hungry, and I've just had dinner 5 minutes ago! Thank you again for another very enjoyable episode, STJ-san.
I had to look up what a foamer was thanks to your comment. Train enthusiast makes sense, I was thinking it might have to do with soaplands... :')
❤❤❤❤
the breakfast looked good. that hash beef looked incredible.
Videos like these don't truly capture just how huge Tokyo Station is. I enjoyed walking around there, and I heavily used my JR Pass at the time, but what's funny is watching this video and thinking, "Boy, I haven't seen that part of the station...or that part...or that part..." It's not just Tokyo Station either, Kyoto Station also had me going around in circles trying to find the famous snacks and eateries I was looking for 🙃 Is, 「おつかれさま電車」 a good pun?
So quiet and peaceful in the room !
Very nice view! I always try to stay my last couple of nights at a nice hotel with a great view whenever I visit Japan. Last time it was the Shibuya Excel Tokyu which had amazing views of the Shinjuku skyline as well as the Shibuya Crossing area. The other view I would recommend is the Shinagawa Prince hotel which offers great views of Tokyo Tower and the Tokyo skyline all the way from Shinjuku to central Tokyo to Odaiba but you need to book a room in a high floor. Now I have to put Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo Marunouchi on my bucket list 😀
WOW That was something special. I really enjoyed the view. It's something that I would never see, so thank you for sharing. Love from NC, USA
I decided yesterday to stay here few days next tripI will sit and watch trains .I stayed at Metropolitan hotel in Morioka and could see shinkansans late at night going in to station the Haybusa ran late at night . Love that room view .
Man, the view alone makes this room so worth it. You don't even have to be a train addict to appreciate the view. Awesome!
Goodness, you have a great appetite! 😊
What a spectacular stay! Thank you so much for the experience. It was like I was there. It must be so wonderful to be able to have adventures in such a beautiful place. Just completely perfect!
The night view is definitely spectacular.
I was surprised by the hotel room. Most of the time, when we see you purchase expensive cabins on ferries or trains, you get a lot more for your money. I suppose all you wanted was a view, though, and they provided. :) Great video, as always!
I watched this video while eating curry udon from coco ichi, it's impossible to watch them without having anything to eat! Great video as always, greetings from Niigata :)
Bon Appetite. That's good breakfast buffet and excellent choices. 😋
you just give the best ideas another awesome video
I really loved the night view with those city lights of Tokyo. 😊
Great video. The room view feels like you are controlling the station traffic. It's first time for me to see Platform ticket for non passenger who visited this station.
It would be a great prank if you used the “Sunflower” song..in a totally unrelated venue, like a train or the hotels..softly in the background and see if anyone catches it. Love your videos!! Keep them coming!!
I stayed at the same hotel during my last visit to Tokyo! But it was during Covid so there was no breakfast available😔 Very special to experience it in STJ's perspective. You could introduce the pods at 19:06 too!
That view is stunning especially at night, those twinkling lights are everything!!!!
Bed looks super cozy
I knew exclamation marks were coming when I saw how tender the beef was, the hayashi sauce must be good too!
The miniature train in the lobby needs a Godzilla model standing next to it, ready to devour train cars :) I return 'cheers' to you with Asahi beer 🍺
Yet another very enjoyable video!!
An incredible view!
A lovely video! I’ll be sure to eat at the restaurant the next time I’m in Tokyo. Tokyo station nearly defeated me on my first day to japan. I should have watched this video prior. 😅
The dawn at Tokyo Station with the view from the hotel room, so gorgeous! 😍 But this price is not for my wallet, for a little more of this amount I stay at Kyoto for 5 nights. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Domou arigatou goizaimasu! *edit* Would it be possible to enter and leave the Station with a SUICA or other IC card, without riding a train, or do you have to buy the Platform Ticket? I don't have a problem buying the ticket, I just want to know if I would be stuck when using an IC card.
Suica will not work on the same station gate. You can ask the gate operator to let you out, but in case you are not going anywhere it would be fair to buy a ticket
That night view was spectacular!
"A couple Is kissing and a security guard Is watching... Tokyo Love Story" 😂
Thank you for sharing.
That was a beautiful view.
Fantastic view 😮
Nice! Thanks!❤🎉😊
Beautiful! Always great to be on the move with you. Love it so much! : )
Perfect 👍👏👌
Exciting tour, STJ! Great info! 👍👏✨❤😍
Wow great hallway
Wow ! What a great view ! I could look out that window for hours !
That view is absolutely awesome specially during night time!
wow nice view !
Very impressive cuisine!
20:43, "Oh look a couple kissing." Aw 😊. Security Guard watching 😐. 🤣
Awesome! I am coming to Japan in 3 weeks, and this is our first hotel! Thanks for featuring it!
Nice view. I enjoyed the night walk, too.
Its a very nice room. And I love the model trains !
The view is beautiful at night
Nice hotel view
My gf and I stayed in this hotel earlier on in the year, in a very similar room looking over the station. I’d absolutely stay there again next time we visit Tokyo! Loved it! Great video btw!
Solo Travel Japan, Thanks Much !.......
This was a unique and enjoyable one. I really enjoyed it. Arigato gozaimasu, STJ-san!
Nice view and room. I would love to stay there. Greetings from Canada.
you mentioned Tokyo Love Story and I laughed which also means I'm old...
Sleep between 1am-5am and you'll be fine as the trains don't run then, its a fantastic view mind you.
1:30 it’s amazing how the trains look like models from this high up 😀
me esta gustando muchisimo
playing at 2x speed makes the video more natural
That hotel room is nice. Love the view. Good location, clean and reasonable price. All you can eat breakfast. Big desk, clean shitter, comfy bed and a refrigerator for your coolies. Nice TV for spanker videos. First thing I'd do is crank up that portable air conditioner. Put it on full blast. Make the room cold like an ice box. Was the WiFi signal good? That Beef dinner at the restaurant looked really delicious. I could easily eat two of those entrees. Maybe eat one, take one back to the room for later. That was a good move bringing up that bag with the goodies. Stock the room with snacks. I could probably eat two boxes of those delicious bananas.
Nice hotel!
A few years ago I also stayed in this hotel, the view was/is fantastic and it is close to the Imperial Palace
The metropolitan hotel is super comfortable clean and close to transportation. Also right next to the Toshiba museum ❤ Japan.
Oh, my. The view is absolutely stunning! I will have to disagree with STJ-san on one thing though. I do not like banana at all! I am glad you enjoyed your treat and the room though!
Have booked the same room for 5 nights next March!
🎃Amazing🍂
small room but elegant.
The couple is Kissing And the Security guard is watching . The best 😂😂😂
😂❤
Wow! Loved that view, I wouldn’t sleep in that hotel room because I’d be too busy looking at the splendid view! Lol! Great video as always, most underrated videos on KZhead coming from you 😊
And the Keisei bus comes directly from Narita to bus stop under the hotel. Also just 1.2h drive and for a bit less than 1300yen one way.
When you started showing the station, I was able to identify the Shinkansen right away. My knowledge of Japanese transportation and different trains is thanks to you, Solo Traveler. I agree that this hotel has a fantastic view!
I just stayed in a room overlooking Heathrow Terminal 2, and it was totally worth it. Saw half a dozen A380's and several other movements. If you're into planes, definitely check that out, Hilton Garden Inn, Heathrow.
I MISS YOUR VIDEOS!
Thanks as always for the video! Solo making like EVERY American tourist with a box of Tokyo Banana, lol. 😂. To be honest the city/building view is more impressive than the train view, can’t see much of the trains with the platform covers. Beautiful city view though! Wonder if there are any hotels close to that Kitte Garden view? So you can really see the trains better.
Please please please do a video of Hotel 21 East Tokyo. Me and my wife are visiting from england to that hotel May next year and would love to see an indepth look at the hotel :)
you should go back an do a day time to night time time lapse video of the city an trains from that window
This looks serene joh-eun windows :) 고요하고 독특한 느낌의 좋은 창문이에요 :)
You should visit Okashiland and get the Tokyo Banana Kit Kats. They're delicious.
Tokyo looks like night city from cyberpunk at night 😍
Based on this video, the price of the room, with a breakfast buffet, and that view, it seems worth every Penny or Yen. I like how you included a tour of the Station like you would the public areas onboard the ferries. Now you make it difficult, when I finally visit Japan, I thought that I would take a Shinkansen and a ferry, but now, I need to stay at that hotel with a Station view, and of course a trip on a train.
its more like a $400 room actually
You are the japanese Sheldon Cooper ahaha
You can really see how Tokyo station has been expanded and upgraded over the past decades, because of the different types of roofs. I imagine if the current station was built in one go, the tracks would look more like each other. Or even share one giant roof. I believe some newly built modern stations do this, as well as some European train stations like Amsterdam (iirc).
The red brick side was build first and is a historical building. The other side is more modern looking.
@@tek87 Yeah definitely agree, but I was talking about the roofs of the track platforms primarily.
Lol, everybody brings Tokyo Banana when coming back from Japan
Would be a heaven for railfans, like me
