Making frame lock folder knife from W1-7 high carbon steel and half brass half titanium handle. There I try to show all steps how to make this knife in the video.
00:00 - cutting blade blank from steel W1-7 plate
01:10 - making hole in the blade blank
02:16 - cutting handle pads from titanium and brass
03:02 - shaping handle pads and making holes
03:45 - first test assembling
04:30 - shaping the blade blank
05:40 - making frame lock

  • You are a true craftsman. Beautiful knife. As a 75 year old gramma of three, I’ve enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports of all types. Plan on taking my 13 year old grandson to a private walleye, lake perch and crappie pond when the boiling heat decides to ease off. Wish I could afford one of your knives. I have a small collection accrued over the years. Thanks for the opportunity to watch a skilled knife maker. What a gas! 👍 😁

  • You made that look so achievable (maybe) by even me. Assuming I had the tools of course, and a little practice. I enjoyed this video because it flowed from step to step so nicely, and understandably. Great production. And the knife looks exactly like something I'd want in my pocket. Thanks.

    • he didn't use any specialty tools, if you have a metal working shop nearby you could ask them to let you work there for a couple of hours on a weekend or whenever you have time, it's a great option for people like us into this that don't want to sink all their money into tools for making 2 or 3 knives ,that's what i think anyway

  • The sparks off of Titanium are so bright! That's why some lowriders put Titanium blocks on the frame so that, when they drag the frame, it puts off a ton of sparks like that!

    • He cut out a form on a blank that was already the correct thickness. This is not knife making, its knife assembling. Literally anyone with 50 bucks and an angle grinder can easily make this.

  • Such a beautiful clean design ! I have a Ruike knife with almost identical design. Mine is a bit stronger than yours though, it's got an internal pin to stop the blade opening further, not just the stud pin.

  • If this knife gets into water, the brass will quickly turn black. Brass with titanium are an active galvanic couple.

  • Honestly I need to buy this.... I've been searching everywhere for titanium brass knives there are so few and my EDC is literally all brass and titanium. Great work love being able to see how you get these done I've been contemplating starting to get into knife making thanks for the inspiration!

    • @@lakinnenlako6883 you cant make a frame lock with brass, its to soft and it bends too easy. Hence, he could not have swaped out the Titanium for the brass frame.
