  • You should look into the strength of earths Magnetic Field. It should be imposable to get this low latitude Aurora on this size solar storm that we had on the Weekend unless there is somthing going on with earths Magnetic Field. There have been Auroras seen as far in the tropics like in Puerto Rico and the middle of Mexico . a few examples was in 1859 carrington Event was about a x28 - 45 class solar flair, in 1921 there was around a x20 solar fair, and in 1989 it was estimated to be a X15 solar flare. the one we had on the weekend was about a X3 flare. That could also be a factor in the climate change as more solar radiation than exspected that is entering the atmosphere causing things to heat up more.
