I created this katana holder with inspiration from Japanese Shinto Shrines.
I wanted a simple yet minimalistic design to make sure the katana was the main character. Because of this, I decided to go with a flat design to give the sword that extra bit of pop.
I also hope you enjoyed the scene in the beginning!
I'm really happy with this outcome!

Beatiful design, it inspired me to make a small stand for a miniature katana for my niece her birthday. She loves everything Japanase. Thank you Clara! :)
That’s so awesome! I wish her a happy birthday and you a wonderful time with the build 😁
I discovered you in the last weeks, I'm planning to open a channel my self and since I'm studyng 1 or 2 years old succesful channels, finally at some point the algorithm started to show me more of them and I found you. I'm a youtube user since the beginning and I saw a hundred of channels grow through the years. All this to say, Clara, keep up this awesome work, you and your partner are rocking it!

That is so cool! 😃
😁😁🙌 Glad you liked it!
It looks so good! 🤗
Yesssss!!!! Thank you! 😁😁
@@ClarasWoodshop it really looks good but I noticed that your katana is upside down the sharp side of the blade should be facing the top even if is a dull sword to prevent the sword from damaging the saya (sheath). Thank you
Gorgeous design! What width did you end up using for the channel in the blocks that hold the katana itself?
👏 good job
Thank you :-)
Hi there, i’m looking at making this in my wood shop class and i’m just wondering if you have any dimensions for it
Nice. Just found your channel. Subscribed. I'm remaking my Katana stand. Great to see other women Makers!
Ohhh! Would love to see how your katana stand turns out!
thanks for the inspiring idea im going to make one for my Katanas!! Dōmo arigatōgozaimasu🙏🏻
Hai! Dou itashimashite! Absolutely! You should send a pic of it to me on IG when it’s done! I’d love to see it! 😁🙌
@@ClarasWoodshop will do!!🙏🏻
@@BarbEricNinja I’m also on basically all the other platforms so whichever is most convenient, lol. Have you started building it yet?? I’m excited to know!
Lovely craftsmanship, the Katana however is incorrectly displayed. It is upside down. It should be curving downward. I realize that could be a problem because the holders are so low at the bottom. You could display a “Tachi” instead which would be displayed curving upward. Remember, the sword is always displayed on the Katanakake as it would be worn by the Samurai.
You’re 100% correct! I didn’t know at the time but it was corrected and fits great :-). Just not in the video 🤣
Amazing...so talented. Do you have any step by step instructions on how this is made? Keep ups the great work...
I do not but maybe I’ll do that on a next piece one day :-)
Is that Hattori Hanzo steel? 😏
My partner said, "Yes." with a face similar to the emoji you used lol
He got the reference then! 👏🏻
You are so pretty.
Thank you! 😁🙌
And she is a Maker!
I like it so much! Already subscribe your channel. If you don't mind sister,.. can u share the product dimensions to me? Please
thats not how you should display your katana it should be facing up to prevent it from getting dull or cutting through the sheath
Yes, I learned this afterwards 😁
