What is the difference between the T1 and T3?
I got one a couple weeks ago. Mine will connect and it looks good then drop off after a minute or two and makes me have to keep reconnecting by going to the website again. Anyone have this issue and a way to fix it?
after you come back the next day and drive off, you have to open the browser then click the favorite, then it says the wifi is not connected- so you have to turn on wifi, connect to the boxes wifi. It’s a pain every time. Do not buy unless they fix or offer a solution 😢
Ownice dosn´t work with tesla! A Problem with Firewall. very Bad..
If my phone doesnt have android auto. Can i just run this like a phone and get it to connect to my phones hotspot and sign in with google on the device? I dont have any google services installed on my lineage OS system
Not available for Tesla Don't trust the video. The T-box design itself is wrong. Tesla is unable to connect because it does not have a WiFi address and ping is not continuously sent. Unless the T-Box design team suggests a possible method, it will 100% fail.
I've been using this for few days on my 2023 tesla. 2 issues I am having 1. It does not recognise my iPhone hotspot so the car loses it's internet connection which supposed to pass through this box. It is setup correctly because I use it on other devices. I have tried a 2 iPhones, iPad and a mobile router. It just doesn't work. Issue 2. The Tesla voice commands all stop working. Siri is ok for making phone calls and calling up apps but I cannot do anything with the Tesla voice commands such call up the nav or superchargers, energy monitor or other functionalities. No real support that I can find.
When you use the Car-play with the Ownice you will lost the command of the your Tesla .
I understand it automatically connects when you get in the car, but does it automatically pop open the website to start the CarPlay or do you have to manually open the browser and select the website to use?
It does keep the browser open but you will need to open it again/re-connect at times.
I keep receiving an error when attempting to connect to its Wi-Fi on car. “The internet is unreachable. Please check your firewall settings and internet connection.” I have made sure my phone wifi is connected to the ownice box. Followed the exact same steps as you have and is consistent with instructions booklet. Any help would be appreciated.
Make sure you update to the latest firmware. Also, for the first connection, I found that I needed to use phone hotspot to connect to Tesla WiFi. Once it’s connected and reconnecting going forward, I don’t need to turn on hotspot.
