Build Giant RC Aircraft Carrier for My Micro RC Plane

2022 ж. 29 Қыр.
2 193 088 Рет қаралды

All start with making micro/ mini RC plane, I made a huge RC aircraft carrier so I can launch the plane and try landing on top of it while the carrier is sailing on the water. The aircraft carrier model length is 4 meters, all made out of 6mm depron foam or polyfoam or foam board.
My original plan for making this video is just for entertainment not focusing on tutorial, so I only prepare the plane plans, not the ship. The aircraft carrier plans is very rough and needs builder improvisation instead of sticking to the plans, because the plans is only in rough shape. But I will consider sharing it too if this video reached 200K view.

  • I was an Aircraft Carrier sailor, USS Kitty Hawk CV-63, and all I can say is: *_Julius this is beautiful!_* The C2 Greyhound and FA-18 Super Hornet models were perfect, especially the secret seaplane ability of the C2! When the Greyhounds arrived, they brought mail from home, pictures of our loved ones, reminder we weren't alone out there. When Julius builds for his family and posts his hard work on KZhead, people like me are the real winners; took me back 20 years. Thank you, this was awesome!

We occasionally did some pizza delivery and would cause quite a stir. It was like gold. Again, thank you for this and bringing back some great memories. Too bad we couldn't float like your video. That would have come in handy.

    • Perhaps using magnets? So the planes ate attracted to their correct Position.

      @HansMueller661@HansMueller661 Жыл бұрын
    • Perhaps. Maybe some really strong magnets that slide on rails, generating a braking force via friction as the plane moves forward on the deck? They’d have to be really strong magnets though because otherwise the inverse square law will not cooperate.

  • Fabulous project! A keel (dagger board) might’ve prevented that rollover. But I imagine it might also create rudder authority issues depending on placement and size. Having made this a waterline model, I would probably add fake water around it and use it stationary on land. But making it RC was extremely fun to watch.

  • I just want to say two things : 1) thanks for sharing your works, you did a really good job 2) if the US supercarriers are too big, some countries have shorter ones, as in France here we have the Charles de Gaulle. The carrier is shorter and as such Us navy pilots have a harder time when trying to land
