Midas was a king in greek mythology who was so greedy that he asked the gid dionysos for a favor. Everything that he touches should become gold. Dionysos does that, but midas cant eat or drink now either because all food becomes gold. But there is also a greek mythology about medusa. She was so beautiful that poseidon raped her in athenas temple. To help her or to punish her athena gives her the power that everybody that she looks at becomes stone. Also the figure on the car looked quite like medusa. I think kiss of life mixed both storys in their music video

Yes, KIOF mixed the two stories, but they gave prominence to the Midas touch in the title because it represents the highlight of the song, when Belle at the end touches the statue and makes it return to human, among other things Belle is the only one in the bridge to not have snakes.

I’m not sure about who’s this MV’s director, but it was filmed in Thailand while they came for fan meeting here. All the props and shooting scenes are made by Thai company called ‘Art Camp’. They really create everything by hand sculpture which is really cool!!😊

I believe they just entered the billboard hot 200 or something like that, which is honestly a massive achievement for a group from an unknown company😭 They’re also one of the best managed groups I’ve seen in awhile, their company obviously knows what they are doing, steadily building a strong fan base instead of giving up when the group isn’t an immediate smash hit. Also, it makes me so so happy to see the quality of this mv compared to their debut, you can see how much the group has grown

lee haein is definitely cementing herself as one of the creative directors to watch out for. since their debut there hasn’t been any bad thing lacking, the concepts were all great, and every release just keeps getting better. it’s so amazing!

their team has acted like they're a huge group since predebut. everything has been high quality with great concepts, planning, visual and performance direction. their team is literally amazing. idk about their company specifically, but their team cares so much about them and capitalizes so well on their talents and appeal. they really built a great brand identity that reflects their group name so well. i'm pretty sure in the next few weeks, they'll release another behind the scenes documentary which will share the visions of the group's creative director, mv director, choreographer, stylist, etc.

they messed up with their previous group, but the company is supporting Kiss of Life so good (prob bc of Patty's popularity boost during pre debut era). The company's previous group flopped and only got 800 album sales in a year because they failed to become popular in Korea. Kiss of Life is doing much much better in Korea and already has 180,000 album sales (pretty good for a small company)! can't wait to see what they'll do next.

The story of King Midas is basically he gets to have one wish- he chose to be able to turn whatever he touched into gold to be richer. Turns out, food, water and people also turn into gold. At the very end, he climbs into a river and begs for forgiveness and gets it. I think the music video managed to reflect the story really well :)

a lot of the scenes, such as natty on the motorcycle, are references to britney spears mvs! specifically toxic if i'm not wrong, and they even have a lyric that goes "baby i'm so toxic" the nostalgia was real with this song while adding their own kiss of life flavor

I recommend their debut album. Every song has a MV and the story is connected like you're watching a mini-series. 1. Sugarcoat - natty 2. countdown - belle 3. kitty cat - julie 4. play love game - haneul 5. Bye My neverland - kiss of life 6. shhh - kiss of life And I recommend their 2nd album born to be xx as one of the best K-pop albums of all time for me. The song was so good that the album born to be xx was nominated for Album of the Year by KMA awards ceremony that is called Korean Grammy Awards Because they were selected by judges and experts in the Korean music industry.

i LOVE the greek mythology references in this mv!! theres midas (obviously), but also mixed with medusa! whatever midas touches turns to gold, whatever looks into medusa's eyes turn to stone theres an arachne reference i think, in the beginning with natty and the web and also i think belle's set with the peacock seat gives off hera vibes; and julie's during the second verse and the beginning remind me of aphrodite i think midas touch means that whatever/whoever sees kiss of life will get the "midas touch"; theyll be so shocked theyre frozen forever

6:07 on the boy turned to stone's chest it is written "doppelganger". At the end of the MV, all of the stone statues watching them are broken and remains the only original and real boy. I'm not sure what does it mean at all but I don't see people talking about that.

their team has acted like they're a huge group since predebut. everything has been high quality with great concepts, planning, visual and performance direction. their team is literally amazing. idk about their company specifically, but their team cares so much about them and capitalizes so well on their talents and appeal. they really built a great brand identity that reflects their group name so well. i'm pretty sure in the next few weeks, they'll release another behind the scenes documentary which will share the visions of the group's creative director, mv director, choreographer, stylist, etc.
they messed up with their previous group, but the company is supporting Kiss of Life so good (prob bc of Patty's popularity boost during pre debut era). The company's previous group flopped and only got 800 album sales in a year because they failed to become popular in Korea. Kiss of Life is doing much much better in Korea and already has 180,000 album sales (pretty good for a small company)! can't wait to see what they'll do next.

The story of King Midas is basically he gets to have one wish- he chose to be able to turn whatever he touched into gold to be richer. Turns out, food, water and people also turn into gold. At the very end, he climbs into a river and begs for forgiveness and gets it. I think the music video managed to reflect the story really well :)
yeah, the biggest thing that made him regret wishing for it was that he accidentally touched his daughter, which she then obviously turns into gold.

i LOVE the greek mythology references in this mv!! theres midas (obviously), but also mixed with medusa! whatever midas touches turns to gold, whatever looks into medusa's eyes turn to stone theres an arachne reference i think, in the beginning with natty and the web and also i think belle's set with the peacock seat gives off hera vibes; and julie's during the second verse and the beginning remind me of aphrodite i think midas touch means that whatever/whoever sees kiss of life will get the "midas touch"; theyll be so shocked theyre frozen forever
