@@habibi395 I haven't any other mic like this,meaning the built quality and all. The feedback i have from my friends while we have conversations in discord or playstation is that the quality reminds them people talking in podcast. I think its great value for money,also you can get an XLR after some time which will boosts even more the quality.

@@meviejote I haven't tried on playstation. I bought the bundle with the arm and its always mountes on my Pc desk .

Got this mic for Christmas! I love it! Got the boom arm package as well! It's a very nice mic, and not over the top with the rgb as well!
I notice that with it being dynamic u still need a hell of a lot of gain for really decent clear sound but it does introduce a bit more noise as usual. So I was planning to try it out with the Fifine SC1 Soundcard and probably a good mic amp like a se dynamic or cloudlifter. Just so I can get a higher and cleaner gain

@@leannagreene3085 think of it as a mic volume, but instead of getting louder its more like it is actually becoming more sensitive the higher you turn the knob therefore picking up everything better, downside is that raises the noise floor, which supposedly can be fixed with mic amplifiers.. Given the specifics of the microphones, I would choose the AM8. I will explain my choice: in the am8, the connection is carried out both via usb and xlr (which makes it possible to connect an external sound card, which will improve the sound quality in the future. The Am8 is a dynamic microphone, which means it is more suitable for an unprepared room, because condenser microphones require a better room. But if you are considering a microphone for singing, then in the future I advise you to look at xlr condenser microphones + an external audio card. Example of microphones: behringer c3, b1 and tm1. Since condenser microphones reveal the voice better and do not cut frequencies like dynamic ones. Finally, pay special attention to the processing, as it can greatly affect the sound quality. The mute button is smart too i have an sm58 with the switch and while im handling it the switch can engage even when i dont switch jt but my finger just begins the little play in the switch and the mic will cut out and not in just a silent way. I paid more for the switch and it honestly sucks. I thought i could just kill a feedback loop or something but it ugh causes more audio problems. I hate it. But this touch button wouldn't do that. Obviously youd not use this as a live performance mic lol. Also many people talk about handling noise. Youre not, ever, supposed to touch a microphone. Ever. So....if its not a live performance singing mic. If youre doing a podcast talk show or instrument recording yea youre not supposed to hit the mic and you will always hear it with ANY mic. People forget that the singer or speaker needs to actually have learned the skill of talking into a mic lol. That's like complaining the mic didnt pick up your voice when you walked away from it when you wanted it to but then complain that it does when you dont. And of youre smart youll not even touch the cables to the mic and you wont use mic plug in headphone monitoring bc the wire will sway and bounch off your clothes and you also shouldnt touch the desk is the mic has a flat hard stand on your desk. Thats the point of the boom or shotgun arm. Stick something in your ear hole and touch the end of it anywhere, youre going to hear it. Thats literally exactly whats going on with the mic. You are literally kinetically connected to an audio device you are physically sending a shockwave through. The only way this wouldn't happen is if they figured out how to blutooth the condenser and it be wireless and on a shock mount in the mic itself not directly connected to the rest of the mics body.

I can't decide between the Fifine AM8 and the FDUCE sl40. I like the sl40's warm radio-like feel but I also appreciate the cleanliness of the AM8. Which one would you say has a better sound quality? @DarkenedCyrus I'll be using it for voiceovers and filmaking. Edit: typo
If doing XLR, I like the SL40 for my voice. USB and upgrading to XLR later? AM8 as it has better USB functionality

Part of it is i think it just "likes your voice" another review was way too sharp. You could turn your very high frequencies down some. But im seriously considering buying this especially if someone had a solo audio interface they could record instrument through the interface then jack in with the usb. Im an old school guy so ill mostly use xlr but im gunna get one or two usb mics bc they seem to get better and better every year. It kinda sucks the rgb wont power with xlr bc that ironically makes it tacker than it being on i think the rgb on this is tasteful also it would be more tasteful if it were thinner and more vibrant in color instead of kindof light faded especially for a black mic. If it were white it would be even more subtle and classy i think.

my question is how do streamers still get full beautiful sound of their voice even their mics are far away for example doctor disrespect what the hell do they use?
Now this is a video idea I have to do. The short and skinny of it? Effects chain, microphone type, and camera wizardry. Microphones don’t have to be very close to sound great, but make it easier to isolate the voice. That doesn’t mean you can’t EQ and use effects to clean up the voice.

Im doing something wrong. My attack is on 1ms and my release is at 100ms. On both my expander and compressor. Why are some of my words cutting out when i first speak into the mic? Not all words, just some. Like the word "kidding," i wont hear the k sound. Any help would be much appreciated🙏❤️
Do you have a Noise Gate? If so, this needs to be adjusted

@SavRipper that doesn’t sound like a compressor or expander. This sounds like noise reduction or a gate not working properly or with the wrong adjustments
@@DarkenedCyrus hmm okay. I had took off the noise gate, noise suppression, amd limiter. And im still having that cut off issue. The only other filters i have on is Gain, Expander, Compressor, and Equalizer.

Um, it has a RGB light on the bottom of the mic. Only works when using it as a USB Microphone though

Do NOT buy this mic, I got it and it makes my voice sound 10x more high pitch, I have to unplug it and plug it back in again and again just for it to go back to high pitch
