  • It’s the exact opposite for me lol. I’m a artist, and so my mom likes to get me nice pencils/colored pencils, and highlighters, when my dad on the other hand thinks the cheap kind is just as good. Which I totally agree with, it’s just, pulling fancy highlighters out on the first day of school raises your confidence up but like 50% 😌

We’ve always been super close, so when I first moved out, he’s drive the 60 miles one way to visit me almost every weekend, and he’d take me grocery shopping. Before that, I had never seen him grocery shop before. My mom always did it growing up. So we went to the store, and it took him all of 15 minutes to get everything I could possibly need at a ridiculously good price. As we walked out of the store I told him, “You are really good at grocery shopping! How did I not know that?” He looks at me, smirks, and says, “Just don’t tell your mother.” We about died laughing! He’s the best!
