Baracus gets the team together to help his mom.
A crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team.

I was lucky enough to meet Mr. T when this show was in full swing at a meet and greet. He came out flexing his arms and smiling, telling the children in attendance to do good, to stay in school, to listen to their parents, all the things that kids need to hear from a role model. When he shook my hand, it was like the handshake of an old friend. He also impressed my mom, who drove me. In the car on the way back home she said that he seemed like a really good person, and my mom wasn't impressed by many people. And still isn't. Hope the man's still out there pitying fools!

@@Richard-xo2uv What did you 'expect' from a TV show, that was in effect, nothing more than a live action Saturday morning cartoon. That's what NBC-TV turned it into, when they put "The A-Team", into the infamous 06:00pm-08:00 FAMILY VIEWING HOUR time slot!

Perfect casting for B.A.'s mother. Della Reese looks like she's Mr. T's real mother.
She Was Always An Angel BEFORE She Played One
Don't you know..... .She was a singer back in the late 40s1950s Don't you know Was a big hit for her. Good song.
Considering how tough she was as Tess, it figures that she'd be Mr. T's mama. She would be the kind of mom he'd have. Her and maybe Octavia Spenser from "The Help."
Della Reese was an absolute sweetheart. Perfect casting choice for BA's mom.
@@torieowens8277 Octavia Spencer?!? Mr. T graduated high school when Octavia Spencer was born.

BA is the most likeable tough guy in all of TV. Shows just enough weakness to be relatable, but still is an absolute unit.

What a Great Show back in the Day.
The look on Murdocks face when B.A said that was priceless
Loved this show, when I was a Kid...even got the action figures for Christmas
🙋🏾♂️😂😆🤣😅
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I always loved this scene because B.A. showed REAL courage there. He’s a big guy who’ll fight anyone, but here we see him really face his fears when someone he loves needs his help
This is the only episode where he is almost demanding that Murdock flies them to L.A. since it is the fastest way to get there.
I do love the fact they let him have his shine in front of his mother!
Out of fear! Look at those hands!
@@hip2thabone_da_sticky1 i wouldn't say that.

I like to think that Reg is a descendent of Murdock
As long as he doesn’t smell bleach on the floor. 😂
B.A. has his fear of flying and Murdock has his fear of matter trasporters.
you know what, i was today year's old when i found that out, been bugging me for years where i knew barkley from
One of the rare times ba was able to overcome his fear of flying to help out his mom even though he was drugged like usual.
desperate times call for desperate measures
What episode is this one
I'm sure when he woke up he was grateful because he was about to have a nervous breakdown
This time, the drugging was out of love. :)
The boys making BA look good for his mom! Class! 😎
..specialy hannibal to be honest- which was a really nice move...
that's true friendship
Mama is waiting fool 😂😂😂
I like how in every The A Team episode they always sit in the same exact seats within the van. B.A. is the driver at the wheel, Murdock sits (and quirks) behind B.A., Hannibal sits in front as navigator giving plans, and Face sits behind Hannibal talking slick with one liners. In a humorous way, its military structure and formation with a comic twist.
I can't tell if I liked it when Amy/Tawnia rode with them. It is their show, but having at least one girl wasn't all that bad.
They where former military after all
I think Face and Murdock's seating arrangement was strategic. With Murdock behind B.A. he couldn't get hit by him.
@@jasonjoyner6267 Seating Murdock behind B.A. absolutely was strategic, and thats what made it funny, no doubt about that. I like when every time Murdock says something off the wall, .B.A. always responds with that gruff answer "What ya talking about you crazy fool", etc. Hannibal always interjects with diplomatic answer and Face kinda does the same in his own way.

"Fuel is a $1.85 a gallon. That's expensive." 1980s...jet fuel...under $2.00/gallon.
I remember the gas prices in the early 1980s. 80 cents a gallon at chain stations. Aviation fuel was around a buck twenty a gallon according to google.
The late 90s when Clinton was in office $.089-$.99 a gallon
That's really expensive for how long ago that was.

2022: Expensive??? LOL!!
“No commercial flights, they’re always late “ My guy gets it
The way B.A smiled when him momma said the food was from lulu's deli said it all
I like how at 5:41 Hannibal sees that BA is trying to think of a plan and says that BA thought of the idea of "taking over the lease" even though he was knocked out during the flight. That's great leadership. When you see your men in a situation they may have not been always familiar with, or put on or in the spot/ leadership position you help them out and don't just let them stumble through it.
Me to n Hannibal was cool for doing that.
I also liked how Hannibal let BA's mother believe BA came up with the plan because he didn't want BA to get embarrassed.IMO that's true leadership and real friendship.

Before the dark times, before 9/11
In my early twenties and have watched multiple shows plus movies from “back then” with my family. Best not to generalise.
Mother! There is no other, like mother, so treat her right!
There is a real touching scene in this EP where B.A.'s mum talks to Hannibal, and says that she knows that her boy being a fugitive means that she rarely sees him, and wonders if he is doing okay. She says that she worried about him especially at Christmas, because he is away from family, and says that he once sent a Christmas card to her, of him with the rest of the A-Team, to show that he had "a family" to spend Christmas with.
Mama: He doesn't look like a crazy man Murdock: Wait til you get to know me. I loved the A Team.
I also liked how BA's mum instantly saw how much he and Murdock cared about each other even though BA usually doesn't act that way. She knows her scooter.
Let us all take a moment to appreciate the time when TV shows were fun.
Agreed
Millions of bullets flying nobody gets hit.
The antigun people weren't happy about this show. By their standards it was way to violent. Columbo was usually okay.
Murdock: This is your captain speaking. We are soon to take off. I'll be turning off the no smoking sign until we reach an altitude of 30,000 ft. Until we do, I'll ask you to remain in your seat. "The fuel is 1.85 a gallon, that's expensive" ... Oh, what a sweet, innocent time the mid 80s was.
Adjusted for inflammation from an estimated year of 1985 to 2022, it would currently be $5 a gallon.
Wonder if Mr T is smiling at the end because his character B.A. is lovin' his Mama's cooking, or because Mr T is doing his best not to crack up laughing.
"I've been a fool for all these years." - Did he pity himself too? ;)

I haven't seen THE A-TEAM in decades and I'm surprised how much it takes me back... even though I understand it in a different way now as an adult.
How cool was this? A cell phone in roughly 1985? A cell phone...AND a long distance call. That was REAL MONEY c.1985.
I've always loved Della Reese. My grandmother use to love seeing her on Once Touched by Angel and brag about her Christianity, but knowing me I love busting peoples bubbles all the time and I mentioned about her role in Harlem Nights. Afew months ago they started showing the A-Team on local day time TV again. What a hoot! Loved this show as a teenager. The stunt work was crazy. The best TV was made in the 80s
