    • Watch the Frankie Edgar vs Gray Maynard trilogy and tell me you feel the same way. A fighter can come back after getting wailed on if they continue to stay active. I don't have a problem with her tapping, it's just that she supposedly had this mentality that she would retire undefeated and she was invincible. Now we see that her mind will give up before her body does.

    • Yeah it's mainly the irony of it all. JJ is one of the best strikers in all of MMA and was talking slick throughout the entire build up. Then proceeds to get tapped out by STRIKES. That is literally the last thing anybody would have predicted. Rear naked choke? Yes. Strikes? No

  • why do people bash her for tapping? bc I’m sure a lot of these keyboard warriors would react differently when getting knocked down with a flush left hook & getting repeatedly punched to the skull... she tapped because she knew she wasn’t capable of recovering. give her credit for taking the loss like a true champion and facing the media when she’s obviously in pain from losing her title.

    @mym6805@mym68056 жыл бұрын
    • It's to be expected. If you conduct yourself in such an undignified, arrogant manner leading up to a contest only to lose, of course people are going to revel in your loss, whether it's MMA, basketball or chess. Her tapping to strikes is just icing on the cake. Truth be told, it is no doubt better for her health and the longevity of her career that she tapped; most fighters are too tough for their own good, and corners tend to be completely inept when it comes to throwing in the towel. So I don't fault her for tapping, but after all her talk, you gotta admit, that was poetic justice at its finest.

    • VaudevilleVillain good point. I’m a huge Joanna fan though so I hope she comes back stronger from this. I know people criticize her for her actions during fight week but it’s just the mind games she plays, although sometimes crossing a line, it’s just her way of dealing with her fights beforehand. I do understand why people turned on her, but I’m always going to be on her side (: thanks for helping me understand that point of view.

    • acdclife94 There are many more reasons why MOST of these fighters are better then Rousey! When real professionist fighters, with great skills in different fight disciplines started to be attracted by the increase of their paycheck and increase of followers so of notoriety, Rounda’s destiny was obvious! She did good in retiring, she can be seriously hurt by these Ladies. She grew up training in judo and she never understood that this is MMA so without developing other fight disciplines, she “ had “ to be “ murdered “! You can’t dream of outboxing a multiple boxe Champ, go on the floor with a BJJ Champ and so on... Wathcing again all of her fights with a different prospective ( without the hype etc ) it is quiete obvious that she was a one dimensional fighter and all that was needed is to “ read and break “ her game as Holly did first... Also it would take her years before she could start to master some other disciplines, her end was written...

Her usual bad-mouthing is her gimmick it isn't the real her, it's the way she chooses to promote her fights the same as Rousey did (Although Ronda couldn't face the media) and what McGregor still does, alongside Bisping. • Ang R I understand mental health is nothing to joke about but Joanna has spoken out about it and said she was meaning her mentality on if she could win the fight, obviously she was wrong on that one. However I don't think she meant it in the way people are taking it. If she did mean it that way then she's disgusting but my opinion is that the whole situation has been misunderstood.

She took it well, and I'm sure she's not done crying. -But she didn't make excuses or claim a "lucky" punch. Not much else you can ask from a fighter. I hope she can face reality as well as the press conference.

She clearly is a sore loser and even when she lost to Valentina she still talked about Rose in interview... Joanna lost 3 out of 4 last fights and wants to get a tittle shot AGAIN... she is clearly DELUSIONAL. I used to love her but she is handling this bad and has some issues.
