Lets be honest,the biggest flaw in monster jam is the scoring system. Period!!

The 30 second rule was a good addition because at the showdown in Vegas I remember 2 trucks did one huge jump and got a 8.9 while everyone else would do great runs and get less so that was a good rule to put in but still the fan judges are not good. I would love if they had the real judges but still something where fans could vote just to see what they think. The judge system before they did the fan scoring was the best when it was 6 judges and a bonus one and they dropped the high and low score, that was the best.

I used to love MJ back in 2005-2013 cause of some many things. Crush cars, different track each week, only one Grave Digger at the World Finals, and judge scoring. Wish Monster Jam would go back to the way they used to run it... It’s just not the same anymore... Congrats Linsey but I don’t think you deserved the win, Todd should have won.
They should just run 2 or Three diggers. Adam Morgan and Krysten, except hers will be pink and called Lil Miss Digger.

100% agree. I understand that they're trying to make it kid friendly or whatever, but its ridiculous that they have fan judges. It removes any illusion of legitimacy
2014-16 was really good years too. But by the time 2017 rolled around it slowly became tiresome and repetitive

@@Joshdoingthings1 yes and they’ll probably never get rid of it. So many things are focusing now on benefiting families than the person who really care about it. Monster jam is one of them. The scoring where there was 6 judges, the high and low score from the 6 were dropped and the fan score rounded was the best format. If you want an example, look at Morgan Kane New Orleans 2017 and see that scoring. That’s the best one in my opinion

He jumped HALF THE ARENA, and yet they gave him a 4th? Lindsey read had a great save at the end and gave her 1st. That's absolutely crazy mindset of the crowd and judges.

@@blakef6_ yeah, maaaaaybe have the bonus judge be the fans, but thats a stretch. Having the fan judging makes actual bias count in the judging, and most of the times, a really high score at the start of the day and then no-one beats it (like in this world finals)

@Hi Hi That's not true. Sure it helps, but it doesn't have that big of an impact. Example: In WF 18, Team Hotwheels Firestorm did 4 backflips never done before, and got an 8.786, getting fifth in the end.

I’m 5 months late idc, but Leduc just had one big jump, I found the rest of the run not exciting
Kinda BS that a few runs got stopped because of a popped tire, when in the past, it was merely an inconvenience. And to echo the thoughts of the comments, the scoring system was to blame for the win of Lindsey Read, not to discount the driver, but LeDuc should have won the show.

I honestly thought it wouldn't be that exciting, but it truly was fun. I went to this one (WF 2019), and apart from Florida weather, had a great time. The drivers truly do put on a show for the fans. There was a lot of booing and whatnot from the fan scoring though, as has been pointed out, popular drivers get a bias towards them naturally.

She won with a run that deserved a 6 and ended with a major driver error and the truck came down on all 4 but not because she did anything. The crowd did this not Monster Jam. In Out Door I know, I remember when blue thunder was on fire and it just kept going until the truck was done for. A wheel being gone isn’t even much.

snake whisperer Just watched the “All-Star” challenge yesterday. Tom broke SOMETHING back-siding the triple. Shut off, i couldn’t even tell what. That’s when you know the shut off’s have gone too far.
Either leduc or Mahon should have won, leduc had by far the biggest wow factor of the night but I think Mahon had the best run overall, great saves good air and great momentum, only fault is she had to backup once but immediately had a save after that so I wouldn't deduct her too much for that, leduc 9.3 and Mahon 9.5 imo

It's a joke, let them be a 5th judge and the highest and lowest score is discarded so you're left with 3 scores and work out the average

You can just hear the utter disappointment in Scott Buetow's voice about the scores with 80% of the Runs, and personally, Monster Energy or Dragonoid should've Won... I get the idea of Fan Voting, but for something as big as the WORLD FINALS, it should be professional judges. just my opinion

Yeah. Fan-Scoring isn’t the worst idea but for world finals competition, it should be professional judges that provide a score the correct and fair way.

This was the worst fan voting ever. Can’t believe she won the world finals by getting lucky with like a cartwheel. Other drivers actually had good runs. Like Todd leduc Tom Meents and other drivers also Also another reason Linsey Read wasn’t the true freestyle winner and that other drivers knew it to was that she was the last person to get picked by the team captain in the all star challenge 2019. Also I don’t want people thinking I hate linsey read. I just don’t like the fact that the fans get to judge because they only give you a good score if you do a back flip

These guys are awesome! The way the fake body parts come off are great, it reminds me of actual American made cars, trucks and vans. They fall apart almost immediately after leaving the dealership.
