Kurdt Greenwood is on a quest to seek out South Africa's twelve most deadly snakes, as well as to educate and inspire people to see the value of these often misunderstood creatures.
I'm not sure what is crazier. The man giving a cobra scritches, or the cobra acting like my cat when he gets scritches.
In my two decades of watching people like you. There has never such a man in existence. You're unique in what you do and how you do it. Congratulations to Animal Planet for getting this gem.
Practice makes perfect over time void men, I would love to be in his position but hey stuck in the uk. Btw there are loads of ppl like this check youtube
After watching it all I must agree he is a little different 🙂
Treating dangerous animals like an old pal will find you in an early grave.
You're amazing Kurdt. There is very few people like you on this planet and we are blessed to have you on KZhead so that we can witness the things you do. It's amazing seeing you get a job working with Animal Planet. This was a great documentary.
Love this ! Saw this when you posed it on KZhead still awesome to watch! Love from Canada 🇨🇦
I’ve been waiting for this ever since u mentioned u were getting a show. Congratulations. Can’t wait to see more.
Wow, congrats Kurt, this is so awesome! 👏😊
The Gaboon is a real beauty. Your understanding of all these animals is amazing.
It really is the most spectacular snake if you watch it move it seems like a toy or not real lol... biggest bite, fangs of any snake
His Grand Father initiated him very young
Was waiting for kurdt video ...this guy is amazing 👏...looking forward to see more videos 📹...keep up the good work mate
bro, have you been trained by Steve Irwin? your way of handling snakes bare handed is so impressive
Your way of handling the Animals and Your Love for Nature is a reminder for us al ...Great Channel !!
Very good video. Just be careful mate. I know that you know what you are doing but just take care. I think you are doing a wonderful job in educating people about these misunderstood creatures.
How the hell does this only have 700 views…? That said, steel. They are made of steel.
First time I'm seeing Kurt. The way he was treating that king cobra was amazing. I'm a fan now.
King Cobra in Africa???? are you nuts???
@Ray Sist mate, he just doesn't know as much lay off
Amazing video!! Thanks for sharing!!
That snouted cobra was amazing! I like this dude Kurt. I can just see him taking off as an animal doc guy 😁🐍💚
You pet a Cobra and lived, you sir are godlike.
Great video boet love watching this keep up the great work
I say this in every one of your videos, you’re crazy mate!
Looking forward to some new uploads my friend.👍🏴
Austin Stevens made a programme in the same place as where the puff adder was. I remember the same wall drawings.
Lekker video boet keep up the great work
Great vid!
Amazing
Love Kurdt Greenwood! The REAL animal whisperer!
I just want to tell you that I can see you have very much respect for these animals as they should have very good job keep it up
Never has my anxiety been so high while watching a documentary. That full grown puff adder was pissed and he's just under the impression "oh it's not that aggressive" per se. I would never do this as a career. Extremely dangerous!! But thrill and danger brings excitement to some people lives.
Broh you next level
Great content indeed......I didn't know that we have a Gaboon Viper in South Africa, I have always thought they are mostly found in Central Africa
Kzn province is special…Gaboons and eastern green mambas there
Kurdt Greenwood: Whoooah, what a big beautiful snake, he looks so angry. Snake: I just wanna be left alone Mr.
Would love to see you reach out and do some videos with Chandlers Wildlife or Dingo Dinklemen. Dingo I'm sure you probably know about since hes also in your neck of the woods in South Africa but Chandler is in the USA but owns a lot of the snakes you work with in the wild. I would love to see you meet up and make some videos with these guys! Dingo would be easier since hes in South Africa already. I know South Africa is huge so you guys might be further away then I think. Dingo lives on the outskirts of a larger city I believe. I know Chandler wants to come to South Africa and it would be amazing if he could come out with you and Dingo. That would be the best video all year.
Playing with a snouted cobra like that is incredible, tarrifying and very very risky. Unbelievable.
Another title for this video would be "Kurt's petting zoo"
Ay i'm half way through, man i just gotta put this out there.... You are gonna get merked one of these days, but you are very brave indeed, nice content... tho i feel the risks involved is a bit on the reckless side.
Im watching kurdt bringing the unseen to the human eyes
I always thought it was an asp that killed Cleopatra. There are ways to showcase an animal without touching it which is (in my opinion) the best way to present wild animals to a wide audience. I believe the more of these wildlife "experts" handle wildlife, the more those actions encourage random people that happen upon similar animals in their respective areas (or different depending on their vacation destinations) because they saw an "expert" handle one which usually results in damage or even death to the person but almost always to the animal. I know it takes longer to show off all of the animal's features without touching it but it can be done. Wild animals are after all...wild and should remain so, with no physical contact from humans (unless it is to remove one from a home or if it is stuck in something made by humans).
Seriously.. this guy is on parr with Steve Irwin and Austin Stevens.. he deserves so much more exposure
And you seen what happened to Steve!! Love this stuff, but It will happen sooner or later. Sorry
@@scotthurley4967 what happened with Steve Irwin was a freak accident.. the way he handled snakes was ground breaking. Austin Stevens is the same.. the way these guys (including Kurdt) read the snakes is mind blowing
@@samworrall7851 I agree it's mind blowing, and love to watch these. I just think when you play with fire, you will eventually get burned.
@@samworrall7851 sam lets be realistic its scripted/reality TV although those you mentioned are great in their field its probably a lot different in real life
@@scotthurley4967 exactly
Almost positive this is a re-run video from a year or 2 ago...
Ja a compilation.
Question: 2 different snakes with the same venom but different species would one venom be stronger than the other ? Etc... If a mamba is neurotoxic and a cobra has the same venom would they be the same, or does it differ because they have other venom also? Hope I didn't confuse you
Be interesting to know what experts like Mike Perry and Jason Arnold think of his handling of the banded snouted cobra
See the Doc where Mike has a "GaG" in his home that he gets guests with?.. Fake in a enclosure in his home he taunts until spectators realize is hoax. His stubbed finger should tell what he thinks. I wonder if feeding response has something to do with it.? Is no such thing as gift with it, people always get tagged sooner or later pressing luck. Vava Suresh many times. Mirza MD Arif has villages counting on him,so he cannot be away healing. He is by the book, but did see a Cape Cobra make it to India somehow, maybe shipping container . It almost got him, latching onto the thigh of his camo pants. Just hurts reputations of the animals to allow mishap, they cannot help how they were made. I revisit the facility Doc's of Mike's and just realized Jason's rescue channel. I enjoy them both.
I like Jason Arnold. Brilliant snake catcher and handler.
Something about heavy bodied venomous snakes like Diamond back Rattlesnakes, Bushmasters, Puff adders, River jacks and such makes the impression that they are the thugs of the Snake world.
This appears to be an older video.
in my opinion the sea saw scale viper is the fastest striking viper not the puff adder .....
watching him try to touch their heads everytime gave me mini heart attacks. i need some tea to calm me down xD
I used to hate and fear snakes. Now, because of Kurt, I only fear them.
This guy has the bravery of a thousand men.
He's a professional.
You are indeed exceptional, you know the animals you work with and trust your abilities to read them with your life. But please, do not allow yourself to be very comfortable in these highly dangerous situations, even with advanced knowledge, there always are unknown unknowns that could potentially cost you your life. Snakes may get triggered by something that is beyond the scope of your own ability to realize. You may have picked up some scent that they can suddenly smell and it may well be a scent of their predators.... I may be comfortable having cobras within striking range, if I'm not interacting too much with them. I'd let them crawl over my body, no problem. But I wouldn't move. What you;re doing is of the kind of daredevilness Alex Honnold is famous for in free solo climbing. But please, do not rely on predictability, where the unpredictable is the rule of the game. But I very much like what you do. I haven't seen anyone doing this so far.
Egyptian cobra still existed in northern parts of Africa, Snouted Cobra is formerly a subspecies of Egyptian Cobra and already classified as seperated species.
Total stupid moves....just lucky the Cobra didn't strike.
Hmmm I seem to remember an Australian macho called Irwin who also liked to tempt fate. This is not so much a wildlife video as a playbook of showoff whose obituary we will be reading in the (near) future.
Yep
And while most people seem offended by this type of comment…..I agree 100% with you. Steve was too confident for his own good, and too careless at times. Yeah you might have been a handler from the age of 4….. but the snakes didn’t get that memo
it .akez me nervous 😓
וואו. מכל האנשים שמתעסקים עם נחשים אתה הכי מיוחד ומבין אותם כאילו מדבר את השפה שלהם
amazing snouted cobra footage?incredible?
The Steve Irwin of South Africa
That is hard to watch him handle that cobra sniffing him aka about to strike and kill him while the silly gentle music is playing. Then I wonder if he's going to kiss the puff adder too. He's calming down. Just with a touch. He's still huffing a bit. This dude just wants to get handled by a deadly snake. God then he is looking st the camera while holding the lethal baby puff adder. He is a car accident.
Clearly the puff adder wanted to get off the hot surface of the rock.
Made me absolutely a nervous wreck just watching him with that cobra. I swear if it would have bitten him I would of died too!! 😮
can u imagine his poor parents watching his videos!!
Why is this man harassing these snakes? The cobra never asked for you to touch him, now if he bite you dont play victim. Everyone watching this video dint try watch in this video at home. Respect nature, if you want to participate do so from a distance.
He’s not harassing them. He’s trying to educate people about these animals. Also trying to show people that they’re not the monsters everyone thinks they are. If you don’t like him or the programme then stop watching. I say that genuinely, not as a salty comment. Respectfully. Good day.
Ok Kurt, you are the next Irvine, the way you respect and handle snake I respect you. not like this dinkelman ass or all the other handlers which use snake clamps insuring those fine spines and organs of the snake! You are the snake whisperer! thumbs ⬆ ⬆
I wonder if I will ever come over a video where people can correctly pronounce the Latin names...
Way too many unnecessary risk wow
Too risky for how you go about it.
Wait what the hell? Gaboon viper in South africa??? As far as I know they dont live there
Right. I thought they were eastern and western.
They are found in KZN, they together with the eastern green mamba
Does anyone know is Kurt is still alive? Watching this I fear his career will be short lived.
If he is, it won’t be long The dude is just showing off ,..playing with fire ,…he will get burned
I know people don’t like comments like this…. But I agree with you guys. This guy is gonna get tagged bad. People always say… “he s an expert , he has been handling snakes all his life” But snakes didn’t get that memo Even Steve Irwin… I think he was too confident for his own good, actually careless
@@drtalkboxsa9412completely agree. Free handling these snakes is just plain stupid.
Mxm gabbon vipers not from sa bruh
They are found in SA… only in KZN When you look at the distribution on the map… you do ask yourself as to how they ended there. But they are there
30.00 now we know where the latest South Africa Coronavirus came from ! 😂🤣😂😷😷😷
If you name wasn't on your video i would think your Austin Stevens son
life has not evolved this is a complete lie... the Lord created the heavens and earth and everything in them
Now u gonna have people trying to "pet" snakes. Look at you just playing with a wild snake... 😜
It's just a matter of time...snakes are not meant to be petted😕
Exactly. This dude was literally free handing a boomslang. Nope, nope, nope, nope
He didn’t get bit though did he?? This bloke obviously knows what he’s doing.
Why would he freehandle a booom slang? Totally dumb move.
Using the title of a successful series to get views, rather than letting your show stand on its own
That is the title of my series on Animal Planet google it, Deadliest South Africa
@@kurdtgreenwood my apologies. I stopped watching animal planet, discovery Channel etc when their content became drivel. The name of the series you are on, is very close to a very successful series from the past. I apologize for miss characterizing you. May you find the success you are looking for
Familiarity breeds contempt. Be warned. England, March, 2024.
Damn dude u must hate living or ur just not 2 Brite why would you do this if u really have no anti venom 2 b honest ur making me have anxiety attack I can't watch this anymore
Dude let go of the snake it's not necessary you either talented or not but obviously you need gimmicks that includes stressing out or boom slang you're obviously not a scientist definitely not a biologist Rastafari Tucson Arizona Sonoran Desert yes I Africa
Your not very smart
SNAKES ARE SUCH A MELLO TYPE.🥅🚌🎬🎞️🔑🚶
Gonna get tagged bad someday ,
