If he goes anywhere else other than europe at 25 years old, then his career is over
Dude sucks anyway
If they offer you more money would you do it
@@kevinserling6541 I agree, take the money! These guys have short and unpredictable careers. The money will be good long after whatever short term glory
0% chance he leaves Europe, count on it
If they gave me a few mill to play for the Galaxy, I would. He has potential to be the MLS GOAT, taking over for Landon, meeting Messi in the final would be a marketing miracle
That san jose jersey is 🔥
Hes had a solid season at Juve. At Leeds, he wasnt in best physical form but also had three different coaches in one season, and was played out of position. Hope he stays in Europe with a club that utilizes him properly and expects him to perform. MLS or Saudi at this time doesnt make sense if hes trying to achieve success on the pitch at a high level.
He didn't even get managed by Jesse, because Leeds fired him like days after he got there..which was dumb imho, but despite that, Leeds was a shambles when Wes got there.
I have followed Juve very closely since 1990 and McKennie even at his peak is barely a Juve player.
@@user-tb3vg1dy8d Juve aren't what they used to be, let's be honest now. But I understand your point, historically.
His first three years were holidays in Turin while still getting 3.5M a year. He did well this year, but he isn't underpayed. I'm sure if Juve gets an offer, they sell him. He is also not hard to replace for them
Yeah they are underpaying him, if not, then there wouldn't be teams offering him better contracts despite where those leagues may be.
@@TheLaughingMustache-oh5ffthere’s always teams willling to do that😭 mbappe got offered like a billion dollar by a Saudi team, u think madrid did that? NO
If and MLS team can afford Mckennie, then it is clear he isn't paid enough, Juve needs to come up with some cha ching,
Juventus is a sinking ship.
Not true.. They brought in a new sporting director and Allegri is leaving at the end of the season. They have many upcoming youngsters on the roster and on loan. (Fagioli, YILDIZ, Miretti, Iling Jr, Soule, Huidsen). Solid core of veterans in Danilo, Bremer, Rabiot, Locatelli, Vlahovic and so forth. Plus they can raise capital Anytime they want. Educate yourself before spewing useless opinions
@@user-tb3vg1dy8d Ok. Allegri has definitely overstayed.
If he's not considering the offers, then Juventas doesn't have to give in. He needs to be serious about the other offers.
the Juve offer is pathetic. get the Saudi bag
He'd be happier in MLS tbh, but Saudi or MLS would be terrible career moves, those are places you want to get in your last contract, like Giroud is doing.
Unlike other European leagues Italian salaries are ALWAYS reported as NET wages after taxes, so the €2.5m is his net wages, not gross - so add in Italian 'luxury tax' the club have to pay and it equals about €5m a year. This is ridiculous and clueless ESPN US bias - he's not underpaid based upon talent by Serie A levels, Juventus pay scheme levels or other European leagues. What other club outside Saudi Arabia will pay him much more than 100k p/w? The far superior Florian Wirtz is 'only' paid €80-90k GROSS per week for example. McKennie is mostly pretty average as a player, as his disastrous time at Leeds UTD showed, and he only really shines in Juve matches occasionally, and he's only good enough to be wearing a Juve jersey in what is completely accepted as one of the worst midfields / squads in Juventus history!
His play this year has earned him a pay increase dude, if he can get it, he should get it...but career wise it should be in a top 5 league.
It’s unfortunate because he has been one of their most consistent players all season. If he wasn’t American he’d get more respect.
I hope psg get him we can have the best miedfield with vitinha and Zaïre Emery
More victim mentality
Worse even Black American.
Respect has nothing to do with it, Juve does not have the money to do so, CR7 just sued them for 9 mill and won, they love him there, he is literally over performing what Juve can afford. Look at the rest if their minefield, super young. They had to let go of Dybala, he nor the club wanted that....
Disagree with more respect the Italians appreciate American players. It's the English press have that ted lasso stigma on USA soccer
Come on down to dortmund. They will appreciate your talents.
Is Dortmund looking at him? That would be a great location. Either there or I think Wes would thrive at Red Bull.
Im dead at the dude on the right now looking in the camera and looking over at the dude hahaha keep the ruse alive
McKennie is having a very solid season and I think he should stay for one more season but let’s see if he can keep up this form if Juve gets CL or even Europa League. He was very average last year and Leeds didn’t want him either. He’s playing well but it’s one game a week. I don’t think he’s worth 4-6 million a year, yet at least.
Leeds is a throwaway 1/2 season. He was loaned to a team that was near relegation and was overall playing pretty badly then had the manager that wanted him fired before he even played a game. His time at Juve and Schalke have been good.
I would stay if guaranteed playing time.
Sorry for my ignorance but why is this bad for the national team?
Leeds who go relegated didn't want him after loan and Juve were actively trying to move him on after he made disparaging comments about the team. He is repaying them for finally coming good but he is a player who probably maxed out his ceiling. He is not starting material at Juventus, only now because the team has major issues. He should think twice before trying to leverage Juventus because his next move might not go so well. He's not the type of player to command $5million per.
You must be highly a highly regarded analyst? Who do you work for Golazo, ESPN??
I am half Italian, fluent in it, been following Juve since 1991. The Italian media is not very fond of his qualities. There is a reason Juve did not offer him a “significant raise”. He is way too inconsistent to play for a big club like Juventus
Just for reference he is on about $60k per week.
If Antony can get that a year, McKennie is worth his $5M a year.
@@logirex that’s about right… no need to pay him more.. considering his output, that’s more than fair compensation.
Mckennie better not go anywhere except a champions league team
Can Sebastian make a move to Saudi. Goodness he is terrible.
He looks like he's eating a lot of burgers
Juve is wrong for that, I hope Weston gets picked up by another team that value his skills and pay him minimum 7M a year.
I can’t think of any team that would pay that. I think McKennie is having a solid season at Juve is arguably one of their best players (which is a low bar) but he was average last season. He’s having a very solid season but let’s see if he can keep up that form with European competitions and Club World Cup. He’s gonna get every opportunity to play, but will be keep this form?
@@Mac10Demarco 😂thanks for agreeing with me.
I hate to say it but Westin McKennie should never start/play for a club like juve. Or inter or Milan. They are to great for a player like him. Bournemouth was his level.
Stay in Juve. CL is happening next year. Go for glory not the bag.
No glory to be had with Juventus. They'll be out in groups again, trash fire of a club
He may wait to see who they hire as manager. If it is the guy at Bologna he'll need to see how he regards him and will he be starting or coming off the bench.
Big money for Weston in Saudi? Go for it, take the bag.
Wasn’t going to sign a new contract as he cannot sign his own game worn jerseys 😂😂😂😂
As clearly one of the star players, of a JUVENTUS, Mckenni does deserve to be on much better wages. Right now you have teenagers in Barcelona getting better money than him. This is just slavery from Juve.
He is a star player on one of the worst juve teams in its history. This isn’t 9 straight titles juve, or zizou juve, this is allegri juve. A stain on the club.
okay don't be hyperbolic with the lame "slavery" wages.
2.5 a year is crazy low for a player his caliber . He needs atleast a80-100 a week type player
His calibre? He is barely above average. He shouldn't be anywhere near a Juventus team, even on the bench. It's only because Juve needed cheap players due to financial constraints he got signed. Btw, his 2.5 million is net, not gross. So that makes his gross salary that Juve pay Italian 'luxury tax' on about 5 million per year, or 100k a week. Which no premier league, La Liga or Bundesliga team will pay more than - Florian Wirtz is only paid €80-90k per week at Leverkusen, and he's three times the player McKennie is.
What are you talking about, he is not getting paid more than that anywhere
@@legionnairegonk4425 Wirtz is world class. I like McKennie he’s doing a solid job at Juve this season but thats all he is, a good player.
@@Mac10DemarcoNot exactly good, he absolutely stunk at Leeds, has some totally anonymous games for Juve and yet Wirtz is paid about the same as McKennie, maybe less taking the gross v net salaries stated into account! Yet Mr McKennie thinks his average player son deserves more money? No, sorry pop he does not.
@@legionnairegonk4425 he’s had some good performances at Juve. He’s arguably been their best player this season. But to be fair, that’s a low bar.
🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧
made in Texas 🔥
Lol, no wonder
If Juve fans won't say it then I will lol 😂 this is a joke player, should be no way near juve or any top league. Championship level player. Bang average and this is truth and this is why USA will be a joke in the worldcup again cuz these are garbage they find out
Championship level like Leeds, right?
Dude has the most assists for juve what do u mean he doesn't belong. Sounds like a pity leeds fan
Hes from texas he might as well go to saudi
That the dumbest comment ever
Please stop the nonsense. Players coming to MLS did not cause the failure in 2018 World Cup Qualifying. . Jermain Jones. Clint Dempsey. Tim Howard. Michael Bradley. They got old. It was as simply as that. As for McKennie, if he wants to play i MLS it won't be a big deal. Plenty of players on better national teams play in MLS.
The only MLS players that start for their national teams are either on really shitty national teams or they have already played at the highest level.
