How to make a coconut leaf hat is in two parts and will teach you all you will ever need to know to make these highly functional and great looking hats. You could probably adapt the weave a little to make them from willow if you got inventive and did not have palms in your area.

  • That looked painfully difficult to explain David and absolute top marks for giving it a damned good go. I think I followed it and am looking forward to part two. I would imagine this is the birth of hat making to keep sun out of workers eyes and it probably has equivalents in straw and other materials. The palm version looks awesome.
