Much later, there was a big scandal in the 77th, and some of the DTs blew their own brains out.. Biggie Smalls worked up on Fulton + Nostrand..

  • Jeff I've been following you for a while now and I've got to say you are one of the best interviewers on KZhead. Very similar style to Patrick bet-david. You ask all the right questions and dig deep and really steer and develop the interview as you go and let the story evolve in a way that seems to allow the interviewee cover the whole story and you do so in a manner that can make or allow the listener to understand the situation or position that the interviewee was in. Right or wrong The Listener finds themselves understanding of and maybe a little sympathetic towards the person you're interviewing. Great job as always and I agree with you that the 75 was one of the best documentaries I've ever seen. Also your description of Adam Diaz was perfect. His looks, personality and demeanor couldn't have been better. It was as if Martin Scorsese cast him for this part. You can't help but like the guy

When you drive thru east ny and the area around the 75 , you see how drugs ravished that area. Its amazing to see cops still making money off the deeds they did against the city. • Growing up in Bayonne we had our own, lesser spoken about "Mafia Cop." George Weingartner. A former Chief of Police who ended up running with John DiGilio. Years later he would chauffeur him to his death. (Louis Auricchio being the trigger man.) He made a video recording for prosecutors and federal agents, taunting them prior to offing himself in his garage in Brick, N.J. Rumor was he was actually given his own crew. Not certain of the validity of that. One can only assume it wasn't the first murder he was ever involved in.

  • This was a great documentary, and you actually had a part of you that liked these guys cuz they were kind of like modern-day Robin hoods. However when Ken tells the story at 23:42 of Mike Dowd stealing that poor families money( taking advantage of an eleven-year-old girl while the mother is at work) is sickening to me. The single mother probably worked her ass off to save $800.! I actually believe in the documentary it was even more money?....

  • I don't understand why some people look at these guys like they're just everyday gangsters. Honest cops deserve respect even if they're your opposition. Corrupt cop's are the worst of betrayers. Everyone makes mistakes but epilito and Carracapa Think they're okay and even some convicts get starstruck by these ass's

  • Just about anywhere else, he would have been fired for threatening his sergeant, and that is why they have the problems they have. If he talked back to his sergeant that way, how do you think he would treat average joes... No surprise he ended up corrupt.

  • This was a great interview brother !! The 75th NYPD is dirty as hell & all the other NYPD precincts. My main channel - “ Brooklyn Teflon audit “ I go to these precincts & record them, the way they act you know they are dirty & so unprofessional !!!
