I Played The Biggest Squash Event in South East Asia! || Singapore 🇸🇬

After a successful week in Bordeaux, France, Curtis has a week at home of training to prepare for one of his biggest PSA events so far in Singapore.
In a Gold event like this there are only 24 spaces within the draw so this makes it tough to get into, especially with every top 6 player in the worldcompeting!

  • Awesome video! Seems really difficult getting off plane, finding the hotel, training, sleeping, playing official match, going back home all the time. Hope you'll get the business class soon enough! Congrats for keeping up the good work!

  • Hi Malik, thank you for this kind of "day in a life of..." videos. I always wondered what a professional squash player's life on tour is like. I've subscribed to your channel. Best wishes.

  • Hi Curtis. Well done at the Singapore Open. Wonderful technique and love the willingness to go for aggressive winners. You've won a fan from Singapore. Rooting for you and your siblings. Also, think I won't be the only one wondering what the cost of being a pro on the tour is like - perhaps a future video idea?

  • Incredible work to take a game off Dessouky! Well done man. Do you do any sort of sports psychology training? It's the most discussed aspect of the game at my club, yet nobody really does anything about it.

  • Lots of dust clings to the walls via static cling. All walls needs to be cleaned also with sanded floors. So everytime you hit a wall it falls on the floor. Nobody thinks about that.

  • Did i hear you correct that you're flying back to the UK, only to potentially travel to Hong Kong in 10 days time. Thats rough when the top guys have more certainly around their travel and a lot less flight hours in their legs

    • Yes that's right. I actually just got into Hong Kong so I'll be going out Thursday! It's tough for us squash players to stay out somewhere like Singapore or Hong Kong outside of tournament days because you have to pay for hotels, accommodation, food and transport everyday. It works out being a lot cheaper to come back for 8 days and then go back out

    • We normally just ask eachother before we get to the tournaments to train so that it's all planned out. And I tend to eat my meals around 4hrs before I play then 45mins before I'll have a small snack like a banana or little energy bar 👍
