I know this might be sacrilege to say, but I wasn't really impressed with it til the revival. LaChanze was amazing but Hailey Kilgore, Isaac Powell, Lea Salonga, and the amazing Alex Newell just brought so much more life into the story, the music, everything. Not that the original was bad. The revival was just better

"Belle"- Beauty and the Beast, "The Circle of Life"- The Lion King, "Think of Me and Music of the Night"- Phantom of the Opera, and "Part of Your World"- The Little Mermaid.
These are all amazing songs but I don't think they count as "Main Character energy". Like, from "Beauty and the Beast" I'd pick "Gaston" or "Me". Lion King - "I just can't wait to be King", Phantom? ...um, Yeah . Good choices, and I would add, "Wishing you were somehow here again", Finally, Little Mermaid, "Part of Your World" is more of an "I want" song. I'd say "Under the Sea" or "Poor unfortunate souls"
Take My Shot from Hamilton as it’s more of a motivational song.
Everything's coming up roses should be higher!
I would also pick "Everything's as if we never said goodbye" from Sunset Boulevard. Just right for stage nerves!
