Hashtag United are a one-of-a-kind football and esports club, based in Essex, England. Formed in 2016 by Spencer Owen as a group of mates playing exhibition games, we now play in the 7th tier of English football, the Isthmian League Premier Division. We won our league in our first season in non-league football and were looking good for a second promotion when the 2019/20 season was voided, but after the 2020/21 season went the same way with us top of the Essex Senior League, we were eventually awarded promotion based on PPG over the two part seasons. In 2023 we won the Isthmian League North and will now play in the Isthmian Premier!
We merged with AFC Basildon Women in summer 2020 and formed our women's team, Hashtag United FC Women, who play in the 3rd tier of women's football, the FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division, after they also won their league in 2023. We also now have 40+ youth teams, reserve and development teams, an inclusive team and a walking football team...plus our esports team who play FIFA at the world's highest level. Sak’s finishing is horrible , but fantastic dribbler. And why is Toby playing few minutes when he can both dribble and score. Bad management for me but the ref was shocking
Toby is a great player and deserves to play but we can't bench Sak and Pedro when they're on great form. Sak was unbelievable today by the way. Anyways were getting top 5 next season.

sak and pedro are the best wingers at the club IMO, especially Pedro he has all the attributes dribbling, pace, physicality, finishing. His decision making could be better sometimes

@@swick772 Sak played well but he really needs to work on his finishing. Whats the point of dribbling past your defender when you just sky the ball over. If he could finish I don't think he would even be playing for the tags. Would probably go another league or 2 higher.
Just finished the first half and Sak’s decision making has been appalling
he played much better in the second half but he still needs to work on his finishing. No point in beating your defender if your just gonna sky the ball over. At the end of the day the final third is what matters the most.
Will do well to keep hold of Sam Cornish. Been really unlucky with limited minutes this season. Top top player.

Thought we played really well. Seems like for the umpteenth time striz and the ref have let us down. Yes the first goal was deflected, but it’s only half a yard from him. No excuse not to save that. The “world class” save off the corner 2nd half was half a yard from him too. Is a regular save for a Sunday league under 10s keeper.

I know there's a lot to say about the ref.. but we definitely should have won that match on skill alone. There are too many chances that we waste with over the bar, wild shots. Chatham showed how physical the teams are towards the top of the table, and that's something we'll have to adapt to. I thought the defense today was miles better than in previous games, and Striz was very very good.
This ref just didn't want to give a red thats for sure, absoultely appaling officiating, still we dug our own grave here, just chance after chance gone begging, and that has been our whole season unfortunately. It's a shame we couldn't make it happen, but super proud of the boys for getting this far. Here is to the next season. Up the Tags #💛💙

the one thing this team lacked was clinical execution. Other than Parrott Misha and Toby the other players cant finish or cant put the final ball through

Teams relying on a human (at semi pro football, not even professional) to make every single decision spot on when the teams themselves make multiple mistakes. Miss placed passes, mistimed tackles, striker misses shots, etc.

The big lad should’ve been sent off at the beginning of the second half. Dangerous play and an attitude problem and the ref didn’t even seem to warn him. There were so many dangerous challenges from Chatham. It seemed like they knew they couldn’t beat hashtag technically so they just attacked them physically like Netherlands did to Spain back in 2010. And Howard Webb screwed that game up so I guess refs just don’t understand how to handle that much physicality.
@@user-du8wg8tp2n it’s correct though, can’t blame the ref for everything. He didn’t miss the chances Hashtag had, or allow their goalscorer to stroll though the defence for the winner almost unchallenged. As iffy as the referee was, Hashtag played well enough to win the game, but failed to do so.

I don’t normally comment of the Hashtag videos but the refs need to step up especially at this level. New or not, it’s a cup final and should definitely not ref another final in my opinion.

seems like some of the lads are scared to break up the play, second goal could of been stopped if we fouled them by the halfway line but we are too scared to give away tactical fouls
The ref wasnt great, but unfortunately, we did what we always do, dominate the middle of the pitch and have so many chances that we don't get end product from. The game should've been wrapped before half time. Unlucky lads.
