I'm new to Sonic and Frontiers OST caught so off guard too. Before playing any Sonic game, I assumed most of the vocal songs in the series were some corny saturday morning cartoon rock instead of actually good written and performed rock music or metal in Frontier's case.

At this point, it's been a more time since their last sonic song than the span of time that they actually spent making sonic songs. I get that what songs they DID make were iconic as fuck, but at this point, they've been away from sonic for longer than they've been WITH sonic.

Even non-Crush 40 songs like Reach for the Stars, Endless Possibilities, Fist Bump, Infinite Theme, Dreams of an Absolution, and His World have been able to hold their own with the fans in terms of popularity. Fist Bump even became a meme a few years ago.

Yeah but sonic music is usually so distinct, it's amazing don't get me wrong, but it's not your normal typa music. This on the other hand, takes the uniqueness of sonic songs, and the absolute mayhem or heavy metal and melds them into these masterpieces

The speed in which this man blindly adapts to the song's pacing and rhythm changes is insane. Some may think it sounds "off", but consider this is literally a BLIND COVER, and yet it takes him less than a second to adapt to all rhythm changes.
I'm convinced that Sonic Frontiers is metal heaven.
Frontier's soundtrack managed to give us a fast forward of music progression through the decade of missing rock tracks never made it to the Sonic games made after Unleashed.

I personally would say that it's a plenty solid game on its own merits, but it's definitely something longtime Sonic fans in particular will really enjoy.

I'm sure someone's already said this but...: The part Kellin is screaming in Break Through It All is "Don't look down", not "Do or die". Mix up is understandable, as both are lines elsewhere in the song, and there are plenty of other misheard lyrics to that scream in particular, but he IS very concerned about your acrophobia, since you're VERY high up as this song is playing. Also, HARD agree about Undefeatable.

My favourite part of this is still how he’s going kinda soft on the drums cuz he doesn’t know the song so he’s just feeling the song out while the drummer on the actual track is just shredding on double kick base the whole song.
