God also restored Job with double portions of blessings because of his faithfulness. Praise the Lord for His blessings 🙏🏽
When I was writing the screenplay it seemed like the climax or high point of Job’s experience was a greater vision of who God was and so an attempt was made to portray some of the images and statements made by God in Job 38-41. A secondary climax was his reconciliation with his wife (implied by Job 42:13) and with his friends (implied by Job 42:10). I just could not find a way to portray the restoration described in Job 42:11-17 without distracting from these important events. In the end, it was decided to portray Job’s restoration by giving him a costume of gold in the last scene. I think the other reason for not including the details of his restoration was that some people will only experience such restoration the other side of death (Hebrews 11:37-39). As an aside, one of the pastors included in the bonus material discusses this difficult issue. ~ Director

Thank you for your response. I wasn’t sure if I should include Psalm 23 in the script. There have been a number of people who have, rightly, pointed out that pretty much every OT scholar believes Job lived before Psalm 23 was written. The main reason I decided to include it anyway was that it was a beautiful way to portray Job’s wife’s remorse and her return to Job. Perhaps a second reason was that a number of the Psalms echo passages in Job and so I felt there was a close connection between the two. For example, we read this in Psalm 10:1, “Why dost Thou stand afar off, O Lord? Why dost Thou hide Thyself in times of trouble?” (NASB). This certainly was the anguish in Job’s mind as well. ~ Director

This movie made me cry at the end, i feel like Job at this moment in my life, being persecuted and wondering why, but the end of this movie showed me. (the lying persecutors) i hold my faith in our Almighty Creator, he didn't turn from me but showing me a way out of this situation I've been in. Praise the Lord our Almighty Creator 🙏

Beautiful Movie. This is how biblical films should be made by believers Not Hollywood and Major movie companies to make millions out of the box office.
Thank you for your kind words. It is, by no means, a polished, multi-million dollar production but with easy distribution through the Internet I’m not sure every Christian movie needs to be. For example, I can be blessed beyond measure by someone singing in church who will never get a recording contract. Same for someone sharing a personal testimony who will never go on a speaking tour. Judging from the comments, our movie has been a blessing even though it will never be shown in a traditional movie theatre. There have been no really mean comments but the ones that are not being posted are from people who seem to think every movie needs to be of Hollywood calibre. Even though such comments are not being posted I read each one as part of my journey toward becoming a better director. ~ Director

Watching this film, it show me that I can go through any suffering, because I will not give up, on the Creator, because He is my strength, I only have the Creator, without Him I have nothing, but with the Creator, I have everything, to search within this darkness inside of my heart, and see the light of of my Creator, and to know that this light is my life, even in sickness His Name is on my lips, how could I manage in these days without the Creator, I'm a speak of dust, in the centre of the universe, where the Creator, surround everything, and sustain His creation, to bestow His Blessings when He lower Himself, to give to all His Creation, out of love the Creator, Create an sustain everything, because He is in Everything and surrounded Everything the Most High the Supreme Infinite Living Being.
God Bless Everyone who made this film happen, I was profoundly moved and was watching during the time that 2022 merged into 2023. I will in future remember this at the moment of New Years, instead of caring about what is happening in the world, I can focus on God. The very last line made me burst into tears. The acting was very real, and it is so much easier to understand Job's suffering and how his mind stayed clear even under that much duress, by seeing it enacted. THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!!!

He had lived with cancer for ten years and prayed many times for healing. I’ve suffered tremendously with nerve pain in my back and legs. It’s been ongoing for many years now, from an accident, with short seasons of relief. I don’t lose hope that this suffering will end and it’s not in vain! Hallelujah! I felt the LORD drawing me to this movie and I’m blessed to have watched it! WoW, what an Awesome film, despite the absence of expensive props, wardrobe, special effects, etc!!! The Powerful Presence of The LORD still showed up as I watched this rendition of the Book of Job! I remember the 1st time I read it, after My conversion to becoming a Born Again, HOLY SPIRIT filled Christian, I cried when I was processing the end of the book & I literally asked GOD: "Why would YOU allow such a dramatic trial to occur to such a "Righteous Man" & right away The HOLY SPIRIT replied, "So that I could understand HIS Faithfulness no matter what happens in life". That was many moons ago, yet GOD has proven Himself to Me throughout many fiery trials! Of course, I have learned since then that Job is in the Bible for the countless other multitudes throughout the ages who have gleaned the Heart of Our HEAVENLY FATHER'S from studying this Amazing Story... Hi Luke. May I tell you how very important this movie is that you were blessed to be involved with? There are not many movies about Job's experience. And it is wonderful that you helped bring this Bible lesson to life. I have seen for myself how the devil tries to test us. On my KZhead channel I am telling my life after death experience where I stood face to face with God and Jesus at heaven's gate. I asked them to let me come back to testify about them to the world, and eventually they let the angels bring me back to try. From the moment I was returned by the angels to my body - the devil began fighting against me, trying to stop me from telling my experience publicly. He was winning for almost 40 years. Then in 2017, as I set up my equipment to finally start filming my life after death experience, he struck me that very morning with a stroke. Like Job - he had struck my body, as his final attempt to stop me. Everyone asked me why God would do this to me? I answered, "No! God did not do this! It was the devil." Because I did not blame God (because I knew the story of Job), God finally allowed me to tell my story. It is important for people to understand that sometimes it is the devil's works that try to stop us and/or test our love for God. But just like Job we must cling to God and trust Him. Thank you for being a part of this very important lesson from God's word. God bless you.

Raybo63, thank you for commenting. God’s response (chapter 38-39) is, in my mind, the climax of the book. Yes, God did restore Job’s fortunes but the glory, and power, and majesty of God that we get a glimpse of in these two chapters resets our focus when suffering turns it inward. ~ Director

I absolutely agree with @alwayslearning - there is no substitute for the Word of God - and our movie certainly does NOT claim to be. A movie about a person in the Bible will invariably add details that are not there and leave out details that are. Regarding the omissions, when it comes to Job, no one wants to watch a three hour movie filled with talking heads. I’ve been quite surprised at the number of comments I get pointing out these additions and omissions. Even though some are quite critical, it is encouraging to me there are so many people who hold the Word of God in high regard and see a clear distinction between it and movies based on events and characters in it. ~ Director
