This song was inspired by Matthew 5: 43 - 48 and 1 John 3:16-18. The gospel verses speak of a difficult teaching which is to love and bless even one’s enemies. And in John’s epistle, we read about our Savior’s amazing love through His ultimate sacrifice, dying for sinners. What a great lesson in loving even those who hated Him.
