"I could take all 5 of you, by my self" I was like... are you kidding me lady? You just said THAT in front of Jericho! That's the last person you'd want to say THAT to.
I literally just expected him to say: "you know what Paige? You know what happens when you talk big in front of Jericho? You know what happens when you ask to fight the inner circle? Paige.....YOU JUST MADE THE LIST!" And he just fucking adds her to the opponents list he was making.
Suddenly i remembered that segments of him with Stephanie and Rhyno back in the Attitude Era.

I’m ok with this feud myself. It’s a mid card feud, not hurting anyone, getting legit mma people in wrestling, letting all of the characters just have a ton of fun as well. Some cringe maybe but not offensive at all.

Gotta give a lot of love to Dan Lambert's work throughout this run. He's amazing as a heel and really gets classic old school heat he's making a classic invasion angle fun and teh booking is great. Making this a street fight will make it understandable when the MMA guys lose because they will certainly be taken out in weapon/hardcore spots that protect them. They have also been really good sports through teh whole thing and have invited AEW crew to train at their gym while they were in Miami as we saw on Rosa's vlog. So yeah thanks Dan and ATT and I look forward to the IC mullering the lot of you :D

As a Non-American, I really don’t get the purist attitudes toward pro wrestling and MMA though. In Japan, switching between the 2 is pretty much acceptable and a non-issue.
like it or not there'll always be a place in wrestling for this kinda stuff. it's a very Attitude Era storyline, intermixed with the aforementioned japanese approach to cross promoting wrestling and mma. Legit athletes/tough guys with a flair for showmanship get to try their hand at another craft (you never know who the next big mma/pro wrestling crossover star might be), Hager's getting his mma credentials over (booking him as a match for Dos Santos automatically establishes him on a WAY higher level than he probably actually is), Guevara is obviously the big long term prospect they all wanna put over and Jericho's having fun being a sleazy old rock star and trotting out his Y2J material. Oh and Dan Lambert is one of the best heel promos in the company.

This feud took its time getting going and I wasn’t sold on the idea of the all faction match at Full Gear but now these past few weeks have been great and putting Lambert in the match is such a fun idea. This has to end with Jericho hitting a Judas Effect on him or locking him in the Walls Of Jericho. This segment sold me on the match.
