When has ‘being nice’ ever gotten us anywhere? Obama was one of the most bipartisan presidents and the republicans ran roughshod over him. And yes shouting at a person is definitely the same as sending fucking pipe bombs. If you’re still on the GOP’s side after all this, then I don’t know how to convince you.
God I wish early political career info was more widely discussed on Republicans, I had no idea Ryan straight up called the cops on poor constituents.

McConnell is a straight up monster...who looks like a human turtle.
During the 2012 campaign, Ryan made a plan to stop at a soup kitchen after a rally as a publicity stunt. But they ran late and the kitchen was already closed. So they talked their way in and took staged photos of the Ryan family pretending to wash dishes that had already been cleaned and put those out.
@Michael Freed So your point is all congresspeople receive donations for their campaigns, therefore ALL politicians care about nothing except money and power? That doesn't track. Democrats are campaigning on election and campaign reform. Heck, the example they use is Nancy Pelosi, and her donors include "women's issues", unions and medical professionals, which I guess is exactly the same as cigarette companies and the fossil fuel industry, right? Equal rights for women, unlimited pollution by major companies, potato/potato.

They might see but they'll never believe it because the are totally irrational and believe in magic more then what is right in front of their faces.
Then it's your duty to help disseminate this information. Even if you only tell your loved ones your beliefs, it's at least still accomplishing that.
If they did they wouldn't believe any of it, and if they did they would offer excuses and justifications, and when that ran out might just admit that they don't care.

I work at the Kroger where the shooting occurred. I wasn’t on schedule that day, but even so, it’s still so surreal and disturbing to imagine what my coworkers went through. It’s funny because Kroger boasts that they are a family oriented company, and I always sort of scoffed at that. But I’ve never felt more sympathy and deep sadness for people I only know partially. This is a terrible tragedy, and I’m sorry for the two people killed and everyone else hurt by this event. I hope our world will wake up and come to a solution, but this will just be cast aside in the overflowing river of madness that is our modern world. There are no words

I'm a college student in Georgia. I tried to register in the state for this upcoming election but I was immediately purged. They can't stop me from sending in my absentee ballot though.

That’s straight up illegal Because Symm v. The United States in which the SCOTUS upheld your right to register in the state that you attend college. contact a voting rights group in your state to see what they can do to help.

@@zeusmasterson4117 Don't worry I'm still registered in my home state. A bunch of students at my school registered during a voter rally on campus (Janelle Monae was there, it was pretty cool). Then a few weeks later, a day after voter registration for this election ended in Georgia, news came out that some obscure law had been used to purge tens of thousands of georgian voters, new and old, and mostly black and hispanic. unfortunately brian kemp, current secretary of state for georgia, is running for governor against stacey abrams and he's using his power to purge voters before the election happens.

Cody just kills. I’m blown away by his delivery in every episode. It’s weird that the people on my tv can’t deliver someone else’s writing, but this just news dude on the internet can research, write, and then deliver up-to-date, yet completely novel content in an engaging way. It’s going to be strange to be so well-informed about the complete collapse of society, but it will be fun to hear it in Cody’s silly cadence.

The great advantage of Trevor is that he always asks the question Fox News would ask. Well, you gave it your best go, Cody & Co... let's hope it energized the inactive people enough to vote in the midterms. We all know that changing the views of the majority is a pointless game, you can only really influence turnout. I have to say - if this doesn't do it - I don't know what will. In 2016 you could at least argue many people were sold on a lie like the Brexit vote... but now - people really should know better. Let's hope they do.
When I was in 8th grade, my class took a trip to DC and we met Ol’ Mitch (seeing as we were, presumably, his constituents). We only talked to him for about 15 minutes, but I swear to God that he mentioned no less than 3 times that his wife was “a legal immigrant.” Which I guess is old white man speak for, “I’m not a racist, my wife is Chinese!” The fact that he always predicated “immigrant” with “legal” sent chills down my 13-year-old spine, even then.

He is one of the people who made the Republican party what it is today. I wish McConnell got yelled at every time he ate something...like even a snack. Every time he pulls out a Bit o' Honey some random person was there to yell at him about how evil his policies are and how he is a stain on our history. No violence needed. Just justified protest.
