Depends on the breed of chicken. Lighter breeds can get airborne, but the heavy meat-breeds are usually unable. Hens fly better than roos, because of their structure - a roo's job is to make himself "available" to distract predators from his hens. Even peacocks fly - so the tail isn't a problem - it's weight. Yes, guineas fly - beautiful when they're airborne - try to get film of them close up and slow-mo it! Beautiful wings!

I never saw South African chickens fly like this. They should be special breed.
Imagine if they could fly higher, further and longer
they can
The ducks were like wtf did I just see
Its good at least they are able to fly 1 metre
In my village not flat terrain ,use to trim their wings otherwise we loose them
it appears hens are better than roosters at flying....according to this clip :-)
makes sense. The hens don't have that heavy waddle, and their tails are a bit flatter.
@@globin3477 Hens also have less muscle mass to make them lighter in weight, so they will have less load to carry when they are airborne.

This usually is true
Chicken turned into a Goose.

My chickens can do it too 😂
Are you sure those are chicken? They sound like dragons.
The best cool video 👍👍 keep posting...very fun to watch💪💪
God bless all of the hens and roosters. Such cool animals. Shame on us for treating them as we have.
The hens fly better than the roosters
@@rinraiden7025 that explains it! They sure are beautiful though
@@rinraiden7025 its not the long tail feathers on the rooster that makes it not good at flying some birds have the long tail feather on them and they fly good
@@rinraiden7025 Hens/chickens have more weight than roosters because my uncle and aunt lives in a farm and they have roosters and they are not that big weight most roosters are not FAT.
El gallo vela pero se cae 😂😂😂😂😂🤣
20 feet height they can fly...Once a wild dog came to attack my grand mom's Hen....It flew up a bit above 20 feet and sat over a tree...3 minutes it was in air
Beautiful bird

I have never seen before flying chicken
Que coisa mais linda 😍👏👏
Omg they are evolving..
Great video! Well done!
Longest chickens I've ever seen
Wow, hah! who said that the chickens doesn’t fly huh?
I am becoming quite the fan of yellow hen. She lifts off with such grace and is quite nimble. The others need a little more practice.
The things is that, chicken's body is so heavy that as soon as they begin flying, their body weight is pulling them down.
Magnificent! What camera did you use to film this?
Que belleza!!!!
So beautiful 🥰
chickens can fly though but they cant fly very high
Trues
Depends on the breed. Your heavier meat birds might as well be flightless, but several of the lighter breeds are fairly impressive fliers.
I don't think so coz mine chickens can fly for a long even for more thn 10 mins

More like gliding Chickens
Es fantastico el efecto de camara
You keep saying they're chicken, that's why they fly to prove they're not chicken of flying.
Wow, very beautiful
Moral is that every thing is possible by nature
Con gà khi bay thật đẹp!❤
When in flight its cleat that chickens have a similar body to a pheasant
Chicken they can fly but not to far like ducks
Wow amazing! How do you make them fly?
Muy buena raza salieron voladoras
Bidadari terbang dengan cantik dari markas geng mereka
The guinea look like they are flying in slow motion, nice. I am interested in your farm, looks very old and with a stone fence. Where are you located? You should do a video showing us around the house and farm.
Flora Dufresne I’m located in the midlands in England, I might do in the summer when the weather is much nicer!
La blanca me pareció muy estupenda woo
