Story 1 is exactly why I always keep my phone either in my line of sight or in my pocket. I'm paranoid of that exact thing happening. Good to know that it's a reasonable paranoia to have.

Yea I literally don’t get the phone stories at all. I don’t find them scary, simply bc they all involve, let’s just call it carelessness. Like my phones is in my pocket or in my room in my house, let alone in public, plus with find my, just remotely brick the phone and ur good. And as long as you frequently check if you have it with you (a pocket tap every couple minutes or during location changes for me) you basically have nothing to be worried about. I don’t get why some don’t have it, but a passcode helps as well lol.😂

Nobody, that is, absolutely nobody walks away from their phone. Whenever there is a story where somebody leaves their phone or their laptop unattended, I'm always skeptical about the story. The second story, I'm more worried about the young woman who's on duty all alone in the deserted gym.
Buddy, I work at an event where I have to scan tickets that were sent to their email on their phone. There were a few times people just left their phone in their hotel room or something like that. People can be reckless like that. There's also human error.
They didn't leave it unattended at the time, maybe listen more carefully.
I leave my phone around my store all the time. Lol I have even asked different customers to call it so I could find it🤷🏼♂️

My wife worked at LA Fitness for a few years and has experienced things as well (theft, sketchy people making others uncomfortable). One night she was closing, so she had to do a walk-through to make sure everyone was out before locking up. She went into the sauna area but as soon as she pulled the door outwards to open it, someone (most likely a man) pushed her back and she fell in between the wall and door. Whoever it was pinned the door against her for a few seconds before running out. That was the last time she closed.
I remember going to the gym with one of my friends, we’re trying to lose a few pounds. We were running on the treadmill when this guy in casual clothing walks by, holding an ice cream, In and out, and me and my friends favorite fast food. That’s my scary story ngl

I’ve watched these so many times I feel numb from the fear.
First story is exactly why I have a passcode on my phone and why I always constantly check my pockets for my phone. I literally can't be calm unless I can feel my phone in my pocket. I walk around checking my jeans or jacket pockets constantly to make sure my phone is in my pocket. I'm very paranoid of loosing my phone.
Story one is why I too have a passcode on my phone as well and of course I'm the only one who knows it.
I would never do something as stupid as disable my passcode because that passcode keeps anybody from messing around in your phone getting a hold of personal information and as long as they don't know it they can't get into your phone and get your personal information why anybody would disable the one thing that protects you and your information is beyond me.

The worst thing I ever seen in a gym was the people who just go to sit on the equipment and take up space taking selfies and staying on their phone while I stand there with no equipment to use.
