    • This is the instrument Anoushka would have been relegated to in India's classical music scene. Her father taught her like he would have taught his son but it is on the international stage that she is seen mostly. She adapted traditional ragas to what she names anourag. No alap and slow raga exposition, she knows what listeners are really avid for is teental, the quick movement. Her father has known and endured through a clannish grand master school. Some families had exclusive rights of teaching certain instruments like the bin dating back centuries to rajah decree.
