  • This is what i need: man and dog silently blending in with nature, no introduction, no talking, just action, not some boring “hi guys...” and a long ass explaination what they are doing. A real satisfaction to the eyes (and ears as well). So peaceful 😴

    • @@acjohn6995 What a shame you have not met a woman who was taught bushcraft and survival skills by her Dad and knows how to enjoy the quiet. I'm an introvert who can also function in society but prefers to be alone. I've watched two of these in a row without uttering a word or talking to myself. I haven't had a TV in 20 years and stopped listening to the radio about 3 years ago. I only have internet for my news and entertainment. A lot of my days are filled with every craft under the sun, reading, growing and preserving foods, and adding to meals with fruit and vegetables I harvested from my garden in the summer. Although I only put on some music when in the mood, there isn't any background noise or music in my home or car since I live in a natural remote location with an ocean out front and a forest in the back with a lot of land to myself. There are a few of us out there who do not feel the need to nag or criticize, but it is easy if we just keep away from men who need a good nag!

In your vehicle you should also have high visibilty clothing as well as warm blankets and a tarp that can make a outside "dry area" next to your car. On the other hand if in a flight crash or ship wreck none of the above would be available. In worst case scenario you need to "invent" it from scratch.

    • @@LisaMarie51968 It seems to have been forgotten that working breeds like german shepherds or in this case, belgian malinois were absolutly bred to deal with all sorts of weather. Clearly the dog is allowed in the shelter but instead wonders around outside. That bit of snow and a little cold won‘t harm a working dog

I loved it when she took the bone you offered at 16:00 and walked off camera. That's exactly what my dog would do. Stay safe and happy adventures.

  • I was camping years ago in the mountains of Virginia and everything was going good, I was in a very secluded area with no one around. Later that afternoon the clouds starting building up so I thought no big deal, just some rain. Was I ever wrong, about an hour later I saw a massive wall cloud coming my direction, weirdest thing I ever saw and I had no clue what was about to happen, the wind suddenly picked up like crazy. All my stuff was blown away and I took cover behind a tree and just held on for life. After it was over it took me about an hour to find my things and I haul tailed it back to my truck only to find it totaled due to huge limbs and branches that fell on it knocking out all my widows except one. But I still had power so I cut on my stereo and all the radio stations were breaking in talking about happened. The storm that hit was a derecho and it caused billions in damage to many states. After that I bought a emergency weather radio and never go camping without it. I couldn't even drive to my house for two days due to so many trees being down, that was a long stressful week.
