The sims 4 could never.
I agree! I love the sims 4, but it’s missing the atmospheric element of expansions that 3 had.
my guess is the toy shop is a reference to willy wonka but instead of candy it’s toys, hence, the mention of the golden ticket in the name of the shop. Great video btw:) very underrated world

midnight hollow is my favorite . sims 4 could never.
I remember, I use to ALWAYS want midnight hallow when I saw it on sims 3 for the first time. But I eventually forgot about it. So coming across this video was pretty cool, and nostalgic!

I had Midnight Hallow for like 6 months and than my computer died. By the time i got a new computer, I was back in school and didnt play the sims again until Sims 4. This brings back memories and fomo at the same time

I would love for a modder to override Forgotten Hollow in the sims 4 with something similar to Midnight Hollow! It would be so cool to have sims with actual lore. Forgotten Hollow feels like an after thought, there’s hardly anything to do there but i love the gloomy vibe
Exactly, I agree with you. TS4 is missing a lot of that lore and backstory. Forgotten Hollow just has a really cool creepy vibe but that's about it! Super Sad! Sometimes the game feels kind of empty.
Awesome video! I somehow have never heard of this pack ever no video I've seen talk about it before it seems pretty awesome I like the vibe of it completely. The whole town almost looks like everything is subdued to black and white all over..pretty neat. I like the bizarre toy shop it almost clashes with the vibe in such a way of the town it works perfectly and I agree the toy machine must be a build-a-bear reference!

It is a completely different and dark atmosphere. Along with that aesthetic, is a haunting backstory for each sim! I agree! The toy shop is so cool and weird. Exactly- It does clash, but it totally makes sense with the world!

Katarina Stewart maybe a reference to Barbie since she is blonde, doll-like, dresses in pink and lives in a pink house that itself resembles a dollhouse.
That makes sense! That made me realize that her house looks like an old Barbie dollhouse I had as a kid with the same shape and colors.

Midnight Hollow itself could be a reference to the Halloween world in The Nightmare Before Christmas. In fact, a few of the sims seem to be parodies of some of the characters. For example, Sarah Holden and Roderick Synapse seem to be references to Sally and Dr Finklestein, whereas Jack Limb could be a reference to Jack Skellington.
