Honestly as a graphic designer this gets me so excited because it means that I will be able to prototype for clients much quicker and will be able to give them tangible prototypes and mockups without spending hours and hours on something only for them to switch up and change ideas last minute. AI isn't going to ever be a replacement. Its going to be a tool just like everything else we already use as designers. Anyone who is freaking out about their job or profession disappearing probably would have said the same thing when photoshop, illustrator and publisher were released.

I agree. We have maybe ten years and then the AI will create whatever a person with no skills in web design want. Likely the AI will couple with a NoCode web system like WebFlow or Editor X. I am not concerned right now but I am for the future. This could cause a system wide collapse. I see ChatGPT focusing on legal issues and so it will replace lawyers once it has error correction added. Now ChatGPT makes up stuff sometimes. Also, I can see doctors being replaced online with that. I agree that people are acting hysterical. The genie is out of the bottle and can't be put back. As a designer I am excited. I am using ChatGPT to help me right two books that I couldn't finish because I got stuck. This AI helps me get unstuck by talking to me like a fellow writer that I can get feedback from.

this is absolutely fantastic workflow for building a prototype. as a software developer I am confident that no code tools such as these are definately the way to go for spinning up a whole new website with design. This makes it to where I can ignore all the programming logic TILL AFTER the general design, THE LOOK & FEEL of the site is soley just in that creative headspace. Editor X was such a fantastic discovery for me, however I think Webflow is more promising after inspecting them both and only Webflow you can export your website into code which is what i would need.

This is incredible. Like many people I'm a jack of many trades and master of none when it comes to web development, and this tutorial finally makes that seem like a good thing. By having a little knowledge in a lot of areas and using these amazing tools together I can prototype fantastic looking websites very quickly. I'm currently a sophomore software engineering student and plan to use this tutorial and these tools to create apps and websites to cultivate a portfolio and hone my craft. Thanks for this!

Great tutorial, there is also a plugin/extension that is basically just a color picker tool in your browser, so you don't have to change the code or look for it, just click it with a single press of a button and you have your color code for an even more efficient workflow :)
ColorPick Eyedropper is the extension I use on Chrome
Chrome DevTools also have color picker in the Styles pane, just click on any color preview to open it.
Windows and maybe Mac also have built in tools for grabbing hex values

Yeah things will change
Just for anyone worried about their careers or getting into the web design business, not all your clients are going to be looking for an Ai generated website. Some are still going to have very specific needs that require the skills of a designer and a developer. Also you still need to understand the basics of development to be able to have an accessible website with a good user experience. This is fun but you won’t be getting jobs with this unless your client doesn’t know anything. And as a designer and developer myself I can tell the difference between a good website and a bad one it’s not just the visuals plus google may have an issue with sites like this along the road. Ai should be used as a reference or inspo and an aid not something to do all the work.
until the ai devs start actually scraping website front-ends and using that to train the ai
Until recently you needed to know the basics of art to draw a fricking showlace. No offense. But your point doesnt make sense when AI is getting better any second it gets new artwork fed to its alghorithm. I am a defender of AI-art and even I see the issue with this. At one point, generic art like this will be unrecognizable to real art because art like this already exists on mass to begin with, more so than real art. As for good customer experience, lets be real, thats very easy to master based on what you want to see. Whats a good user experience? See item, see all details you NEED about the item, have variety to choose from, send to cart, buy. Maybe add an intellegent search function based on google onto it or Amazon or whatever it may be but it really isnt hard once you think about it for 5 seconds.
@@GikamesShadow I can tell you really don't have a grasp on everything that goes into web design and development. AI in its current state is not able to handle everything from accessibility , SEO , or user experience. Also you have to take into consideration that not all clients have the same needs. In the industry I work in this would not even begin to meet the needs of my clients more would I even utitilize AI for a website design, think of clients that need/want their own photos ( ai can't produce that ) think of clients that want certain functionality on their site. Sure you can use AI to assist in building it out but you still have to qa that work and user test that work and even then its not like AI is using best design principles in both web design or ui/ux. So until that happens human interaction is still needed. I don't mind ai but I know a bad website from a good one and that's fundamentally a bad website.

This is simply ridiculous, thank you for such a nice workflow and explanation. As a designer running my own studio at the moment, AI is for sure scary but let's be honest, the amount of content that can be created is simply amazing. And if you love this profession, this can't be bad. I will embrace all those new tools as much as possible and try to create as much as I can. If one day we are fully replaced by AI, I guess we will have to find a different path to pay our bills but at least I am going to enjoy the journey through those exciting times and just be amazed by the results those AIs are bringing to us.

This is the way to go. I think you have a few years, where you are one of the few designers who adopts it and can put out massive amounts of content.
I disagree. People will start to see that there is no longer a "creative process" or "thinking" involved in the design process. Designers will start to transform more into "tracers" or "copiers". We are probably looking at a drastic cut in compensation in the future. I think designers, copywriters, web dever's are in trouble.

Just a little correction at 6:40 U 1234 are command to upscale 1234 images and V 1234 are command to Variate 1234 images respectively. Calling V 1234 as version is technically ambiguous. V1 would generate 4 variations of 1st image. And U 1 would upscale 1st image.

True. I also just think this will be a very useful tool to "fill in the gaps" in ways that we might be lacking as designers/web developers. I think having a solid knowledge of how to build websites, alongside tools like these, will make really amazing website creations.

i just finished graphic design school. I really loved this field. I feel very depressed and sad that i wont be able to work on this field, i wanted so much to make my dream come true, even for some years. I had so much to offer and many ideas.
When WordPress came, we thought we would lose our jobs, it only enhanced it. When Shopify came, we thought we would lose our jobs, it only enhanced it. When wix came, we thought we would lose our jobs, it only enhanced it. And that's simply what AI tools like these will do for those who care to learn to use them. No serious business man will waste their time going through all these stress instead of simply paying me to go through that stress for them. If AI does replace web developers/designers it's because web developers/designers are using it more than they should. And if you fear it will replace your job, then either you learn how to use it and stay on top of the game. Great video but dude makes it look way easier than it really is and oh he didn't mention the part where you have to pay to use midjourney after your 25th query. How do you create multiple pages, how do you create animations, how do you export the website when you are done, etc. Unless the client is a web designer himself, I doubt any client will have time to waste on learning all these just to design their site.
Agreed, most clients need to clearly define what they even want in a website, game or app. That's where design and developers come in to translate and use AI to make it a reality.
Plus dude got a perfectly tasteful design with brown and cream colors...then scrapped it in favor of such ghastly combinations as teal and yellow 🤮🤮🤮 the colors of my vomit emoji 🫠

Good information! Howver As a web developer I can see loads of technical and visual flaws to that final website. I am happy the human interaction is still necesary, at least in a 70 or 80 percent. I can see these tools as an starting point of visual inspirations, that's all.
you can create a server and invite midjourney to it so you will create art alone without scrolling every time to find it

Exceptional video and thank you for taking us on this AI journey. I guess the one 'missing link' at the moment is the ability to generate the homepage HTML/CSS from the website image automatically. That would be really cool and I assume there's someone somewhere working on an AI to do just that.
When you publish with editorx, then it will produce HTML/CSS
@@nftreview Thanks - But I mean the actual putting together of the site using EditorX which still requires manual creation of the page even if it is drag/drop these days. Wouldn't it be amazing if at some point in the near future, some AI can automatically produce the HTML/CSS directly from the original Website Image, bypassing the need for EditorX 🙂

Which Website Provider or hosting Provider is he using?
Don't be a newbie and present all of your ideas to the public.... type in /private. It will give an error message but start a DM with you, now you got the same bot in a 1 on 1 chat. Doesn't get clouded with all other prompts and not everyone sees your ideas :).

I really enjoy this video, have learned a lot about Midjourney prompts, but I am not familiar with Photoshop and Editor-X, I think this is more like designer aproach of building website, but it is good to know the process and fun to watch, Adrian is the man 👍

I think this is something DJ culture wrongly believes too. You have digital DJ's who use tools like Traktor and Scratch who are viewed as "Cheaters" compared to DJ's that use only vinyl. The only people that really focus on that are the DJ's themselves. The people consuming the music and dancing in the clubs don't care how the music is being played. They're just there to enjoy the end-product. There will always be a place for truly custom work, but for the most part, I don't think people are going to care how the work was created as long as it's good.

Yep, would never use Wix/Editor X, I use self-installed Wordpress and some good page builder plugin.
You could go completely overboard by asking chatgpt for the sql script to generate the ShoeDB 😉
