  • The Rangers have the talent, the goalie, the Coach and the depth to get this done.

  • In terms of stats, we match up pretty evenly with the Canes. I feel that we have better goaltending and defense. Special teams are evenly matched. 5 on 5 ill give it to the Canes. However, watching them play the Isles was interesting. The Canes could have lost 2 of those games (at least 1 for sure and possibly Game 1). The key will be matching up lines/players to shut down their top guys when we have home ice. Depth scoring too. I'd love to see some goals by Cuylle, Vesey, Goodie, and Wennberg. Imo, i think this goes 7 like 2022 and we prevail again. This team never panics and I feel that the recipe for success this year has been their ability to find ways to win games. I have absolute faith in the coaching staff to have these guys ready to go when the series begins. LGR!

  • Lavi should get a ton of credit. The way he allows players to be creative has transformed the team. Look how Panarin has played. Trocheck, Fox, Laffy, etc. Even our D jumps in and tries to drive the play. With Gallant, it was Mika’s one timer and Kreider’s deflections on PP1. Now that players have the freedom, they are so creative in finding ways to score. The other thing is how Lavi notices certain players are hot and double shifts them to get more ice time. I never saw Gallant make moves like this. Lavi is bringing out the best in our players. That’s why even when bench warmers like Jones come in they play like it is the last game of their career. Lavi has the whole team buying into winning and it is why they will beat the Canes.

  • At one point it seemed in the last game if we needed a goal just draw a penalty and you’ll get one. Won’t win every series but it was enough to win this one. When the most effort by Ovi is to knock a puck down shot by Shesty at the end of the game made me ask the question why isn’t his heart in this series? Now I don’t care anymore either lol let’s get playing Carolina! Some similarities in this Rangers team like in 1994 too it’s wonderful to watch the chemistry 😂

  • I'd like to think this Rangers team is for real, but I'm not gonna get my hopes up. Let's face it - Ovechkin did not want to play more than 4 postseason hockey games. Without him, the Caps are a good AHL team. The next round will tell us what this Rangers team is about.

  • If the Rangers can get past Carolina, I like their chances vs Boston/Florida winner. Torchet is on fire. Best 2-way player vs the Capitals. Rangers in seven.

  • Much is made about 5v5, but their play at even strength is what gets them into PP situations. If we dominate during even strength, ultimately the other team takes penalties, then we make them pay. I have to believe that we dominate the time in O Zone, so to me, dominance will ultimately result in wins. Very few teams have PP that can keep the puck in the OZone for most of the 2 mins.

  • I really hope Ovechkin doesn't break Gretzky's record. Larry is 100% right that he wasn't even trying out there. He's basically giving up on hockey except for beating Gretzky's record. That's the wrong reason to be in the NHL, for both the league and the fans. He should really just retire cuz obviously his heart's not in it anymore.

    @RoughRaiders13@RoughRaiders1318 күн бұрын
    • Unless this was like his retirement game where we knew he was hurt, I'd feel bad for fans who paid money to see him. You'll never see a game like that from Sydney Crosby

  • Interesting point by Larry about Wilson in the handshake line...I noticed it too...as much as I hate him on the ice, he's probably a decent dude off the ice and to his credit, handles his team's loss like a pro and with class....its a shame he's such an ass on the ice cause he's a talented hockey player, so much of the other stuff in his game is so unnecessary
