As someone who follows a lot of fashion influencers, who are not black, so many of them go instore and if they like something they get it. a lot of times they even get offered things without asking but it's never a problem. Most comments speak on how blessed they are, how graceful and inspiring. This whole Hermes conversation is just so telling omg, I personally like the content you put out. Its so refreshing to see a black African women going to the shows and entering these spaces. As someone who hopes to one day break into these same spaces, I just really appreciate what you are doing.

Alot people don't understand luxury brands are more than bags and shoes. I like understated luxury pieces. And I am a girl who doesn't like things just because EVERYBODY is wearing/buying it. I like what I like.

So beautiful, Jackie! I just follow you on instagram so I missed these tiktok comments, but I’m sorry people were being strange. For anyone looking to elevate or seem a bit more elevated: the key is just to act like you have every right to be there (because you do). I’m always really confused when I shop with friends and they make a huge deal about me taking free samples or spraying perfumes or trying on bags and clothes without buying anything or even if I go in there in normal clothes or just touch stuff or tell them my budget and ask for something within that range. The key is just acting normal, not acting stereotypically rich and being silly and stressed.

YESSSSS!!!!! I love that you gave this PSA, my husband and I really are in our elevate and luxury era. We be shopping, established ourselves with Hermes, to play the long game. One day I'll get my Kelly. I began posting my luxury items on my personal socials just so I can be transparent and people dont be like, "oh you got money???" No, I worked and saved, then bought what I wanted instead of impulse buying something cheap.
I really enjoyed your content and love the connection with you and Tenicka. I agree with everything she said and I think you all should definitely go the Lagos fashion week in October.
