Most of songs of Damien Rice super hard to sing. Not because the melody or too much techniques, hard notes but how to whispering the emotions and stories he put in. This performance gave me chills. And i was like "Awwwwwww" its touched. Bravoooo;)

Mai Mai true but the company has to think the target audience. Most of this type of music are from Western. Probably not gonna sell out in Korea. Its a kudos for him that he actually sings very well. Audiences stay silent like how much they appreciate his voice /talent

I really don't get why some people keeps saying they couldn't enjoy his performance because they couldn't understand his pronunciation when the majority of those people are probably also non-Korean speakers yet still continue listening to Kpop despite not knowing Korean themselves. I thought music has no boundaries and just the way he sang it itself, is enough to convey the raw emotions of this song. He probably admires Damien Rice and tried to imitate his Irish accent while learning this song which explains the strange pronunciation. I'm Irish so I get what he's saying sometimes. Can't fault the guy from trying ^^
I agree. I just started watching clips of this show and it is great. I don't know a lot of Korean but you can still hear good singing and feel the song. There are songs in English that I don't understand the words too so nothing different here. Great feeling! made me look up the lyrics and Damien Rice.

개인적으로 너목보라는 프로가 생긴 이후로 아직까지도 이분이 최고라고 본다. 뭐랄까 과하지도 않고 그렇다고 약하지도 않으며, 노래라는 하나의 장르가 사람의 마음에 이렇게까지 심금을 울릴수가 있구나를 이 분을 통해서 알게 되었다. 무협소설을 보면 늘 은둔고수가 있듯, 이 분도 그런 존재인것 같다..
본방으로 볼때 첫 시작에 실력자인데도 그닥 실력자 아닌건줄 알았다가 한 150번째보는중

너목보 보면서 제일 소름돋고 여운 남기는 목소리였음... 듣는 내내 "오 노래 진짜 잘한다" 가 아니라 그냥 소리없이 쭈욱 듣고 싶었음.. 감정전달 말로 표현이 안되네요.. 그냥 가수로서 음악으로 사람 마음을 움직이는게 이런거구나... 최고인듯... 저기 방청객분들도 저랑 같았을듯... 노래가 끝나고 모두 조용함...

Unfortunately, in our day and age now, real talent like this is not appreciated anymore. The music nowadays are mostly trash. I really like his rendition of Damien Rice's Elephant.

It's 2023 and I'm rewatching this video. Because of him, I have known Damien Rice's music like Elephant, 9 Crimes, and this song in the video. I never deleted them on my phone's music playlist ever and every time I play them, I feel like my soul is crying. Damien's voice skill is praiseworthy. He deserves so much more recognition in the music industry.

his pronunciation is quite good actually, it only sounds a bit peculiar because he tends to stress on some notes... and this is one of the best stages I've seen in icsyv...amazing singer edit: after listening to this once again, I think I know why he sounds like that, he tried to pronounce words in British (or Irish) accent. still an outstanding performance tho

They made fun of him from the start and even laughed at how he held the guitar in the beginning being so sure he would be tone death. I loved it so much when Got7 apologize after he sang a rendition of Hard Carry. 너목보 스페셜 영상중에 단연 최고인거 같다.. 몇번을 돌려보고 돌려봐도 볼때마다 눈시울이 붉어지고 코끝이 찡해지는 노래.. 대단하고 또 대단하다는말 밖에 나오지 않는다. 처음 볼때도 처음 듣는 노래임에도 마치 오래토록 들은 사람의 음성처럼 친근하고 따뜻하게 위로해주는 음성으로 들렸었고 다시 보고 다시 들어도 늘 마음을 울리는 노래임에 틀림없다.. 말로 어떻게 다 표현할 수 있을까라는 멘트는 이런 노래를 들었을때 쓰는말이 아닐까 싶다..

The only performance in ICSYV that made the whole audience to go silent in awe after it.
노래를 잘하고 못하고 그게 문제가아니다.... 이분 노래듣는 이 짧은 몇분이 고된 내삶을 위로해주는거 같았다. 그어떤 음악으로도 느껴보지못한 그 어떤느낌......
정말 그런거 같네요~음악 전문가가 아니라서 잘하는지 못하는지 모르겠지만 묘한 매력이 있어요. 끌림 그리고 힐링이 있네요
듣는사람이 그렇게느낀다면 그게 정말로 잘하고 실력있는거죠

진짜 이거 너목보 출연자들 중 정말 탑에 드는것 같아요. 이 분 음악에, 목소리에 정말 엄청난 힘이 있네요. 저도 이상민씨처럼 그냥 눈물이 나네요.

어떻게 보면 이 분이 마지막까지 안가고 중간에 탈락해서 이런 무대 보여주신게 진짜 다행인거 같다
그래서 오히려 진짜 실력자들을 일부러 떨어뜨리기도 하더라구요 ㅎㅎ

When this episode came out, i'd expected to laugh by seeing GOT7 expressions struggling to find talented singers. When this singer, Choi Jin-ho i believe, showed his singing skill, i couldn't do anything but put my drinks away and focused on the screen. This singer, has the most unique and beautiful voice i've ever heard since i got to know ICSYV. Usually when talented singers in ICSYV shows their singing skill, every audiences and judges in studio will clap, stand, and say 'WOOOAAH' over their performance. It was the first time the studio went silent, and simply focused on this beautiful singer until the end. It looked like his voice had reached every audiences in studio in a emotional way, which left only peaceful silence. We can also look to every GOT7 members' expressions which are simply being amazed by his singing skill (i pressume some of them were got jealous) and Jinyoung looked like he regretted the most for choosing him to be eliminated. It was, obviously, the most beautiful and strangely emotional performance i've ever seen in ICSYV history. I hope this singer will be very successful in the future, and i'd like to buy some of his records to, because this is the kind of voice i really need on my life right now. Choi Jin-ho, be prepared, you got a new big fans coming over you! (sorry if there were grammar mistakes!>
Souru S. actually there have been a few stages performances where the crowd has gone quiet as well...if you havent seen them Id recommend watching...but yes, this guy totally blew audiences and myself out of the water..id have to say this performance is probably my second favorite...his voice, the emotion...the cello...so beautiful
