That is so nice.
Amazing 🎉💯❤😂
Amazing 👏 🤩
Oh wow, I can’t believe I won! Thank you!
Life is all about balance, and if the balance isn't there, it can leave a person unfulfilled. You only get one life, so live it the best you can and do what makes you happy. Safe travels and stay well.
A few years ago Adventurevan Man, Brian, made a very similar video. Its our instinctual need to feel part of a community or tribe. Go with it.
Congratulations to the Winner of the Bluetti, Awesome!! I believe the birds you hear are Sandhill Cranes, we get them in the fields behind our house, I just Love listening to them. Thanks for sharing, Stay Safe! Blessings Always 💕
On finding home. I have a friend who travelled the country looking for a place to live. He came back to our state, settled several hours away in Bend Oregon, and eventually moved back to the same small town he grew up in, here in our NW corner of Oregon. Sometimes you may go looking for something better and not recognize the beauty in front of you. I look forward to your next wild roams and where you may land. Be safe.
Sandhill Cranes! One of my favorite birds and bird noises! ❤
As long as you and the pup are happy that is all that matters.
Interesting watching all these vanlifers or nomads now deciding they want to settle down, live off-grid, and homestead. It's almost as if they've run out of content on the road or it's become boring. I think many also realize that the online community of followers isn't real... it pays the bills, but not people you can physically interact with. Many KZheadrs are buying land and settling down in northern Arizona. It's good to have a home base you can retreat to between travels. Owning land gives you more security in this crazy world.
No I think it’s really just as if we are dynamic human beings who don’t want to remain the same for our entire lives 🤷🏼♀️
@@SheRoamsWild True! I think many are also adapting to our changing world. That's why many chose life on the road and now owning land to be independent and self sufficient on. There seems to be a growing number of homesteaders on KZhead.
@@TimsOutpost Agreed. Many of the Vanlifers I've followed are all settling down. Someone sent out a memo ;)
In the very begging of your vid I mentally labeled you grounded and clear, as well as she roams wild, You then you exlplanied your goals in a logical way. It was enjoyacle and .great to read. Thank you
you are so kind - thank you for being here to share it with!
Change is the only constant
Good luck...safe travels. 😀
Hubby and I full time in a 5th wheel. We do what you want to do. We usually never stay in an area less than 2 weeks and we get involved with the local culture and people. With that said, with a bit over 7 YEARS full timing, we finally found an area (eastern Tennessee) we like to use as a home base and buying a small home. We will still travel, just not 12 months a year.
that is incredible! sound like some serious life goals (for me, at least)! So toked that you found your happy place & I can only hope that in the coming years, I will as well :) thank you for sharing your journey!
As @amberlrios said, sandhill cranes. Very unique sound and all the way up here in northern Alberta (spring to fall) too. Love your videos.
Lovely episode, and for sure would like to see bikepacking overnights. Nice to see the next steps in your evolution on the road, thanks for sharing these details. Best, Paul (PS Love the sounds of those Sandhill Cranes, sound almost prehistoric!)
I'm excited to see what you and Tara (I hope that's right) have planned next.I would love to see you guys do a backpack trip or an adventure.Congrats to the winner of the bluetti.Love and Blessings
I live very near there! Saw the mountains in the back! 😊
A Bluetti.. Wow . Congrats.. I loved the graphic tee shirt you had on . There is so much of this of your channel that I love . Take us with you your next journey . I love Tara .
I love the way you feed your dog ❤
Bird sound is from a sandhill crane.
Would love to see y’all go on bike packing trips :)
Ah they sound just like the cranes we have here in Sweden that come back from the sun as spring comes around. I didn’t know if you had them in the US, but I take it from the earlier comments that you do ☺️
Sandhills cranes!!! 10 million year old species on their migratory pathways❤ enjoy that song and now you’ll be hooked and will seek them out
that is SO cool! it sounded a bit like dinosaurs...which I guess isn't too far off considering their timeline haha thank you for sharing!
sandhill cranes! we have them all over in florida(: they have such a cool sound
The babies are so cute too. It's so fun watching the parents protecting and walking with their chicks(?).
@@ladikmkyes the little fluffy babies are sooo cute!
Hello @ she roams wild Great video of you and Tara the dog doing your thing. Did you know that Maddie Taylor is quitting the road? She posted this in her recent video. Take care out there! From London UK 🇬🇧
I was surprised when Mаddie didn’t mention Alexandria in her last ang final video, because they are friends, Alexandria helped get Maddie's van out of snow trap.
No, balance is enjoying time alone, but also having people and caring and sharing. Meeting only our own needs does not make is happy. You hot this girl. Enjoy the journey , for that is what life is about .
Meant to say you got this girl.
Congratulations to Kathy for bluetti and you for the awesome opportunity. So beautiful Colorado looks ❤❤ ty for sharing your life, stay safe out there.
Omg yes! I make youtube videos in a similar spirit as you and what you spoke to about navigating living on the road, I can relate to so much. While I was living on the road for over a year, one of the biggest lessons was learning how to be on the road in a way that wasn't just conceptual but really rooted in what was true for me. It's so easy to get pulled around by exciting ideas or conceptual thoughts about where we should be (totally relate to "well, everyone goes to baja"). Glad you're finding your way with that - it's a big lesson! Sending love from my little corner of the world to yours
Congratulations Kathy 🎉🎉
Beautiful ❤️
Amazing video
Awesome video
Good morning 🙏 🌄 beautiful girl have an amazing adventure ❤
Great video Alexandria
nice!
Nice video.
Your journey's evolution is inspiring and heartwarming! 🌟
U need to be happy . Find your happy place. If its not one place move on . Which i think U r already doing . I only wish U the very best . Mucho Love Always from your friend in Michigan, Tam ❤❤
T y love your ideas etc.
Sandhill cranes -the noise of those birds in your video. We have them here in Alaska too.
Love all your videos. Stay safe & happy🫶🏻
I keep myhomeplace/ Basecamp. It give me a place to store all my stuff and I winter there . If I'm restless I hit the road , if I'm restless on the road I head home to recalibrate. I do workcamp in area I want to explore for 4 to 6 months .
that sounds incredible! I would love to have that level of freedom and flexibility on day :) I hope you are enjoying it!
Nice
Sand Hill Cranes making that noise.
Sounds like an exciting change of lifestyle coming up for you in the future!
The birds sound very much like the common Sandhill crane. I live in a major migration path & hear them a couple of times a year as they migrate from their seasonal grounds.
Was in Albuquerque when the Sandhills migrated through. Very noisy and beautiful!
I was guessing Sandhill cranes.
Good video!
Thank you Aaron!
Sandhill Cranes
Would a baby bottle brush help clean it, but I would also suggest getting a box of gloves to help.
do what you think is good for you will still follow your channel 🤩
You have such nice organization in your truck
thank you! it has been a long time coming :)
I hear you Alex. I'm on the lookout, it's overwhelming but traveling gives such an edge in finding it I would think.
That is so exciting! Good luck to you on your hunt :)
Hi Alexandria, how r u doing girl, great video, yes living in solitude, off grid and in minimalism has some advantages most definitively, I guess I will sometime give it myself a try, rgs ❤
Sure bike packing sounds great ❤ to see that me being mountain biker would be into that👍
I hope Terra’s middle name is Incognta. That would be too cool!
A small gasoline generator would be nice for cloudy days. You make me hungry. A small vinyl tarp and couple bungy cords are what I use to protect my bike. That's a nice bike. 🚴
I slept in a conversation van 8° out , motorhome and office trailer with electric and kerosene heaters. The small wood burning fireplace is amazing. My friend who built a slide in pickup camper has one. Be safe and be calm. You are on an amazing adventure and doing fine. Happy Easter 🐣
Also slept in the bed of my pickup truck with aluminum cap. Many comforters to stay warm. Was rough times.
Have you looked into a ramp for Terra? They have them - just look for: dog truck ramp - It would be a lot easier on your back! Keep on truckin' ❣
I live in southeastern AZ on 4 acres and the cranes are overhead in formation this time of year. They may have moved to Colorado or they are on their way about now though. You spoke about stopping and getting a nice piece of land. That's what I did around 7 years ago and I love it. I am 3 miles from the small town so that's convenient. However, I continually watch quality videos from people like you who are currently traveling and enjoy it so much. I yearn to get back on the road someday. thanks so much for your videos and letting us know how you are doing.
That sounds lovely! I would hope to have a balance one day - an adventure rig for a few months at a time on the road, and then a place to be more grounded and enjoy community!
The birds are cranes.
The birds you asked about... 14:45 Based on the sound, it sounds like "Sandhill Cranes".
I live in this area! Hope you enjoy
so cool! it is beautiful and we have really been enjoying it so far :)
We have them same birds in BC Canada. They fly over in spring n fall and I've always wondered what they were. Yay now I know. 🥰 Sand Hill cranes migrating to and from their areas.
that is so cool! we must be in their pattern as they are flying by every few hours these days
❤❤❤
The bird calls on the video sound like Sandhill Cranes. I’m not sure if they frequent the area you were in, so perhaps they are a similar type of crane. They sound like how I imagine Pterodactyls 😆. Such cool birds. Maybe they were migrating, hence the flock ( it sounded like multiple birds together).
My stress relief is riding my motorcycle Why traveling in my truck camper
Love boondocking
❤
Sounds like Canadian Geese are flying over.
I just love to watch your vlog, you are so full of inspiration. Keep on doing what you are doing, but I feel that you will eventually find an idyllic place to call home.
sandhill cranes
Does your golden like cauliflower? My golden girl was OBSESSED with it.
If u ever get to Southern Indiana I would love to meet you
I live in Southern Indiana . Yes come visit us .
@@katlynncok2 hello hope you have a wonderful day
I would love to help in any way I can.
The birds you hear are Canadian Geese.
Thanks for an interesting video. I am not familiar with the kind of journaling you are doing. Thanks for describing your journaling - perhaps viewers would like more journal details/examples? Also, I think living with intention can very helpful - I have written down, what I intend to accomplish, and then steps to achieve those accomplishments, and that's been very helpful in regard to" prioritizing, productivity and my happiness.
If you find yourself in Wheat Ridge / Golden area, send a comment and would love to buy you a coffee and show you my 2009 7' Palamino and meet my dog Lady (labmix) Love your spirit.. keep doing what you're doing
Oh and have a bedroom for rent cheap if ever needed. Am in sixth decade and pretty tame basically harmless, work from home and keep planing for truck camper life someday soon.
Birds sound like Sandhill cranes, but not sure if they are in your part of the country.
I want to know what bird that is!
What type of outside mat is that? I couldn’t find any info about it on your gear list, very curious. Thanks
It is a Kama surfaces mat! I absolutely love it, especially with Terra running around all day - it super easy to keep clean!
Maybe a Company like Parks Management Corporation would be a fit. They give you site and pay like 16 an hour. And you can sign short term agreements . Meet lots of People and have content.
The bird noise is a crane . Not sure what kind there but it sounds the same as a Sandhill Crane.
that seems to be what most people are thinking!
Hi, i was wondering how heavy is the bluetti AC 200L?
its about 60lbs! the carrying handles on the side make it really doable :)
@SheRoamsWild oh wow! I may need the get one alittle lighter in weight. Thanks
Sandhills cranes
What type of toilet do you have? I couldn't find info about it on your gear list.
it is the smallest version of a Trelino separating toilet!
@@SheRoamsWild thank you.
Sounds like sandhill cranes.
Hi, there. I would lobe to see a backpacking trip with Terra….she seems like suvh a sweet dog. I have a “holy terror” Aussie that I wanted to backpack with, but at this point, she is 9months old and still far away from that goal, sadly.
She is the light of my life! That said, this has been 2.5 years coming haha backpacking trip in the pat have been great, but always 100% on-leash and in limited areas. I am so excited for her to get to explore new areas with more freedom (read: better recall), and higher stamina now that she is going to be 3! I am sure that you get there with your pup sooner than you know it!
@@SheRoamsWild I sincerely hope so….we will both be happier! Thanks for the words of encouragement. I have had several puppies in my life, including another Aussie. None of them were as “over-the-top” as this one (Willow)! Happy trails….who knows, maybe we will meet “on the trail” someday
Hi, again….the brids sound Sandhill cranes. I love their guttural calls
I have a piece of land ? A camper ?
You bern busy on the toad make good video
cranes
It seems like it!
No one around you in miles... It is like middle of no where.
Do you need a direction? Go see America. No not just California..... the other 49 states. Take us to the grand canyon and carls bad caverns, go check out Florida, drive the east coast, go see the capital of the USA. Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone, I hear there's a place in Arkansas where you can mine diamonds.
Yep! It’s pretty neat there!
THOZE SOUND LIKE SAND HILL CRANES. BY THE WAY, I HATE YOUR KEY BORD FOR COMMENTS.
Why is it all nomads grind their own coffee?
it taste better this way🤷🏼♀️
Sometimes spending too much time alone just becomes over-self absorption.
One of the reasons I’ve unsubscribed from so many of the Vanlife and RV content channels is because it’s all the same after awhile - Mexico, California, Oregon, Colorado, etc. That’s where you all are for some reason. The rest of the USA is somehow off limits for you or something.
If you ever followed Casey Roman, she traveled on the East Coast vs many of the van lifers on the West Coast. I think finding places to park/stay on the East Coast is much more difficult.
@@mjlavallee2609I’m just over single girl vanlifer emotional struggles on the West Coast, if that’s the theme now.
@@jamesh1641I do agree with you, I think it has to do with parking and the weather. I’d love to see content from other places!
I think the biggest reason for this is accessibility to public land, access to the outdoors, and weather/humidity. I know that is the case for myself, at least! Battling with humidity and tough weather or living in cities/paid campground would have me off the road faster than anything, so instead, I have chosen to move *slower through areas that I consider ideal for my hobbies/lifestyle, not unlike what many people do when they buy a home.
Well, those are the best states for weather so I can see why people would stay in those areas. I’m here for all of it no matter what.
To add to jamesh1641 I’ve unsubscribe because they just gave up after 2-3 yrs and making the money and went back to living in a house and the 9-5 I forgot to say about the ones that don’t say they are leaving KZhead camper life leaving us hanging never to return
I think people assume that it is easy to make money doing this, or that the money is jut pouring in, but that is usually far from the case. I think it is understandable that some people would want more stability of living and income after awhile, and it's great that they are able to do that and not feel like they have to keep pursuing something that isn't working for them :)
