Starring Talya Çelebi and Cenay Türksever, "Gelin" is the life story of two people from entirely different worlds: Hançer, who gives up her dreams for her loved ones on the one hand, and Cihan, who has fire in his eyes on the other.
Hançer, who gets her name from her sharp gaze, faces an offer that will turn her life upside down. Taking advantage of the fact that Hançer is poor and has a family that will not cause trouble, Mukadder offers her to marry her son and give birth to a son. Hançer, who dreams of finding the love of her life and having a happy marriage, first rejects this offer, but when she learns that her brother has a fatal illness, she is forced to accept the offer.

  • Writers: this is more like it. Beyza needs Yonca in her life. It is good that Cihan is finally asking himself why Hancer would marry him like she did. He is even checking on her welfare. I assume that he can read through Hancer's sister-in-law and her greed. After all, he can simply look across the driveway to see Hancer's lights on and know that she is almost always alone. Her brother is a nice man, but he is ill and not assertive. She is on her own. Cihan is, also. For now, they have aloneness, loneliness, and stubbornness/ pride in common. The difference is that Cihan is a tall, imposing, authortative, and wealthy man. Hancer is a small, sensitive, poor, vulnerable, young woman. HE needs her gentleness and stubborn honesty. SHE needs his interference and protection. Love the dynamics of the women that he respects and listens to---Yasemin and Sinem. They speak out to him about Hancer and her needs. Love female characters who are not manipulative of or mean to each other .Instead, they show sisterhood by being appreciative and supportive of/ to each other. Nice balance. Good possibilities!

    • Very true! Yasemin knew that Cihan will not take any chances on endangered Hancer. She only agreed to do the procedure just to get Cihan to get his act right. That plan is working by the look he gave the girl when she got out. This man is in love.

    • @@MsIsma22 , I like the physical balance between Hancer and Cihan. He is such a tall strong male and she is so petite by comparison. I think that, over time, this will make him even more physically gentle towards her. He will be afraid that his physical strength might accidentally hurt her. It could lead to a very tender romantic story.

  • I don’t like Derya, she acts like she’s entitled to go straight to Cihan and she doesn’t want Hancher to know. Cihan needs to let Hancher know that she’s asking for money, enough is enough! I love the interaction with the key, it was nice to see this happen because in order for love to grow you have to be together, it looks like love is in the air! I could really do without Beyza wanting to know what’s going on in the mansion. They really could leave Beyza, her father and Yonca out of the series because they bring nothing to the series

  • Reichtum Es gibt keine Macht mehr, denn wenn man einen Film dreht, merkt man, dass am Ende immer die armen Leute 90 % gewinnen. So werden Filme gemacht.   • There is no need to fill the first 5 minutes with the last 5 mins of the last episode. We are not stupid, we remember where we left off...and if some didn't, we could go back and watch it. 5 mins at the beginning and 5 minutes and recaps was all we saw of our main characters... Rubbish. I'm sure the first 5 mins of the next episode will be the last 5 mins of this one. I keep coming back hoping it won't be boring....I am always disappointed. So slow, so boring!!!
