This competitive 3v3v3v3 Mario Kart Wii tournament was hosted on the MOGI Lounge Discord server on January 16th with over 100 teams entering. Each round, half the teams are eliminated with 6 total rounds if you make it to the finals. I teamed up with my friends Sword and NMeade for our first competitive races together in many years!

Ggs Troy. I was SWAG Nate (in the last room). Absolutely surreal to be playing against all of the guys that got me originally interested in the game back in 2011 and back into the game around 2018, and at full strength. Edit: Gonna put something I said in a reply up here for more context: That last room was incredibly stacked. All of PROJECT (Quinn, Spec, and Killua), play at the highest level of comp and are some of the best RT players today. RNG are only a notch below them, and me and Marco (from SWAG) do war leagues with Devil being a really solid player himself. Pretty much every other room was the same way. Also in R2, ax (Alex) does many experts for CTGP as well, like The Rabbit Hole and Mansion of Madness (see Troy’s prior vids) and in R1 swig would've done a lot damage if he showed up. Those rooms they were in were all no joke. PROJECT and RNG got eliminated the next round (which was quarters).

@@champking20 because for people who make it to the finals, its a 7 hour commitment, and they dont want to do that every weekend, and the less top tier player you have, Like For Example the Project team in This Video, they made it to Semi Finals, which was probably 6 hours, if the tournament has fewer of those, the value of winning becomes alot smaller

I love that you allow Sword to curse lol. It's always kinda janky when someone who usually curses a lot has to force themselves to hold it back. I know because I do it everyday at work lol I'm a teacher!

If u get discord and join the lounge server, u can read the rules, go through the verification process, and join the competitive scene
I would do competitive but I’m not that good only 6600 vr on a average day and 7000 at max
It would be better to hop on twitch as several high tier players stream there gameplay frequently

I love every video with Sword and every video with Nick. To have an hour long video with all three of you is awesome and competitive Mario Kart is super interesting to watch every once in a while.
By far my favorite video you’ve made so far. I love seeing all three of you cooperate with each other and still joke around. Seeing the people that got me into competitive mario kart working together is truly amazing.
This is awesome! You'd think this would just be like normal mario kart just trying not hit each other, but there's so much cool strategy it's basically it's own gamemode! I hope you guys do more of these in the future

I've followed Troy for about a year now and this event still gets me the most excited of all by a LANDSLIDE. The strategy and teamwork involved make it so exciting to watch. Praying this format gets resurrected sometime soon!

As someone who plays in mogi lounge (I used to be in BRISK clan, who played in the first match) I really appreciate this video. While the mod videos are great, I do wish you did more of this type of content. There is something about classic competitive mkw that no mod will ever be able to beat. im not super into competitive video gaming myself, but it is kind of cool to see this be played comp, seeing as in flounderfest or the modded/custom track videos, they never have you calling or being told whats where on other parts of the race, and co-ordinating sutff like shocks and predicting who has what items is super cool
